I've been watching some of his shows since seeing him on the show, he's hilarious. Was the funniest one on the show. The joke was kicking him off. Definitely done watching this stupid show.
So disappointed in the judges. Randy was my favorite. Judges, this is a comedy show, not a magic show contest. Randy has far more comedy talent than the magician. Hands down. I was so looking forward to seeing more Randy. I was most excited about him in the competition. Can’t believe he was eliminated by a magician on a comedy show.
Weird thing is the two comedy guy judges misjudged and the non comedy female judge got it right. My jaw dropped when Keenan said the magician’s name. Then, it dropped further when comedy man Jeff Foxworthy made the tie breaking vote for the magician. Shocking! My wife thinks that Randy may have offended Foxworthy with something he said during the act. I didn’t catch what he said but I can’t think of any other reason why Foxworthy wouldn’t have made such a ridiculous judgment there.
God... I rolled my eyes so hard when he said “go stand on that trap door.” That’s an ancient magician’s joke used mostly at children’s events because everyone else on the planet has heard it.
Yeah the other bloke can't really call himself a comedian. The whole "stand over there, on the trap door" bit is so unbelievably overdone. RANDY FTW!!!
i recently went to Randy's 2020 tour and he talked about why he was eliminated. Basically, there wasn't a captivating enough back story that he had to sell to the audience and therefore was eliminated if he didn't make one up. Heath who voices randy refuses to be a fake person on TV and sell the audience a fake back story, so he killed this performance and walked.
Came back to this after watching the whole episode, and honestly, Randy got robbed. I agree with the other comments, Jared was really shocking, but for a comedy competition, Randy should have won.
I literally turned the TV off when the judges didn't choose Randy. I will not watch any more. This felt like a decision driven by something other than the search for the best comedian.
WHAT THE FREAKING HELL IS WRONG WITH KENAN AND JEFF!!!?? Jarred should not have gone through barely doing comedy. I'm pissed right now! If they don't somehow bring him back as a wildcard, I am done with this show! Unbelievable!!
My understanding of what I learned after the fact is that behind the scenes there were issues where Heath, the puppeteer, wouldnt reveal himself and do a "creative backstory" so he was kicked off the show after his bit which is why the creators had him voted off so that it looked more legit. Randy kind of talks about it and different bits after this.
how the hell did randy not go through... its bring the funny. he brought the funny. Jarred did some nice magic.... but there was almost no comedy... it was like 95% magic 5% comedy
(Spoilers ahead) I love Randy and thought he nailed it, especially against Jared....but he lost and I just don't know why. I hope Randy returns to the show or gets more/better exposure on American Television. His specials from Australia are amazing!

I love magic. It's one of my favorite talents and dont get me wrong this act was decently funny but it's not what I feel this show is meant for. That felt guy was hilarious
Honestly, the comedy in the magic act was mediocre. Most magic performances embrace the silly nature of the tricks, they inherently leverage on comedy to communicate the trick, or on wordplay to distract the brain to help slight of hand. Which is why it's exceptional when anyone strays from it successfully. But the trick wasn't particularly silly, just a slight of hand card pull after an imaginary (very manipulatable) set-up. And the delivery hinged on weird extra actions which is fine, but then the chosen weird actions were a random slowly set-up lunge which was only there to look dynamic and weird, and cringy "do this"-"why did you do the thing I just told you to do" jokes. Like, the trick was extremely basic for a stage performance, and the delivery couldn't even rely on the trick. Yet there was no gimmick, there was no persona, there was no banter, there was no wordplay jokes, there weren't unexpected or spontanious goofy actions, there was nothing that helped the trick to be done more smoothly. And the trick wasn't much of a set-up for jokes either. Probably a bit weird to reply after 3 years, but the "decently funny" kinda got me thinking. Because in reality, this performance to me just reeked of "I'm not good enough to just be a comic, I'm not good enough to just be a magician. So I'll try to create a niche to pass off my show better by combining the two" and not of "I love doing extra comedy in my magic act, so I'll advertise it with that distinction". The entire thing is just the worst of both worlds.
Agree 95%. There was that line that Jarred said. "Put this card under your pillow and you'll wake up with me next to you in the morning". He does deserve credit for that line as it was actually funny.
As with most of the comments here I have to hole heartily agree. I have never been more inraged than I am right now. I'm with my husband D100SanityLoss on this. I have never been so mad about something as I am right now. If this is not fixed you all might of just lost more fans than you know. Not just show wise but judges wise as well. Bring Randy back!!!!
Bring the funny or another version of AGT? Cuz Fell was legit like almost every good original magician I’ve seen on agt with a great trick but only small humor, Randy is a pure comedy act and therefore shouldn’t be much of a competition this round
The magician did a single slight of hand from his pocket while doing the "lunge". His "magic" is nothing but simple pick pocketing & slight of hand stuff so easy a 5 year old can do it. I was so disappointed with this decision that I nearly gave up on the whole show & turned it off immediately. If they don't bring back the puppet guy as a wild card or something to make up for this epic mistake I will be very unhappy.
Yea I did the exact same thing I may find it online and watch it cause there’s a couple others I started to like but I’m gonna be petty and not watch on tv cause they don’t deserve the ratings after a stupid decision like that unless they have some huge plan to throw him back in or something

When Jeff said he likes wow moments. It's a comedy show, funny and enjoyable. It still can be wow and funny. It has to be funny more, Bring the funny. It's in the title. Variety type of comedy is possible. That's what Jarred Fell does. I have seen it done well and seen failures. (The failures were full on just magic tricks)

Jared going through just proves all the talk going around nowadays that shows like this sometimes put acts through to make the show more interesting at the cost of actually talented people. Its hard to watch this show now knowing judges i used to look up to.
Randy deserved more time with this show. There's only some many times one man can listen to his story about buying a bookshelf on gum tree. XD (I'm happy that he got some exposure in the states and hopefully more people will look up his videos online)
I think that what ruined Randy's chance of winning was that the magician performed first. The judges were so focused wondering about "how did the magician do it?" to pay attention to Randy's comedy.

The reason jarred won was because 1. He used kenan in his demonstration so thats how he got his vote and 2. Randy insulted Jeff which is how he lost his vote. It sucks that these two had to face off at this stage though. I really liked both of them and wished they could have both made it far

And his performance was amazing while the magician just made like three jokes and performed a mediocre magic trick.
While a mediocre magician (notice how he blatantly manipulated Kenan into picking 'hearts' by having him choose a pile and then when it wasn't hearts to throw it away? he would have kept doing this 'pick one, throw it out' tactic until he got the the suit he had hidden on him) with no real jokes in his set won...and THAT was the first part of the show...I sort of lost faith in this program. I'm reminded of the final season of 'Last Comic Standing' where the Judges were overruled and made to feel like they were just stage dressing.

A magician beating a comedian on a show about comedy just tells me that I can't take this show seriously. Like most reality shows, they probably have the winner planned out before they even film the show.
Randy was amazing! I absolutely adored his act. He should have won hands down. Jarred did 1 trick and he was more fun to watch than most magicians but it was not comedy!

Gonna be honest, I'm biased to Randy, but the other guy was pretty good too. However, I feel that he more fun than funny.
