Can Robbie host every 4sided dive? He's so good at it!
He can host my entire life
he is such a good speaker. Like he is so natural and charismatic and really makes people feel comfortable.
Robbie Daymond for president 2024
Just wanted to write this comment - You beat me to it!
Robbie is amazing. He puts in so much effort. He could put in half the effort and still be the best host. He definitely deserves his own creative space at CR to do something fun.
Can we please keep Robbie forever please?
I think we must!?
@@perennialcoma grugyd7
Yes please!!!
Robbie is the only saving favor in relation to the table.
@@antiphon000and what is this supposed to mean exactly?
i hope robbie knows that the critters are currently doing the equivalent of a child clinging to their parent's leg with him. i genuinely never want him to leave lmao
Kyle's "I don't know figure skating! I'm not THAT gay!" killed me for some reason 😂
YES!!
Me too! 🤣
Kyle is awsome.
Robbie being so effective as a host that his follow up questions answered most of what's in the tankards.
CR, if you can't keep him as permanent member, you might want to consider him as permanent host 👀
Yeah his questioning technique is S tier
Robbie: *exists*
Critters: can we keep him? 🥺🥺
also applies to emily
Soy: *exists*
You: Can I drink him? 🥺🥺
Marisha and Liam will never not try and steal magic items from each other.
honestly, peak sibling shit 😂
I can hear Robbie saying "I. HAVE. CHILDREN." as the rest of the cast and crew laughing at him saying "bleeping" in the intro.
Robbie 20 seconds later: "What The Fuck Is Up With That?"
Takeaways:
1. Robbie is now permanent host
2. Love Marisha’s skirt
3. Want to see Liam and Dani playing COS
#3 double yes. Would love to be a fly on the wall for that home game.
I'd be fine with Robbie being the host of 4sd, but only if he actually familiarizes himself with the show.
Robbie as a C3 talk show host and it's called Bell's Tells.
(There's already too many segments of this with CR but Robbie's just so good, man.)
Oh man, this is so good!
Great name.
The Robbie glaze is justified. This man needs to be a permanent cast member!
Dani: *interrupts to defend Caleb*
Me: Gurl, you were so real for this.
Dani continues to be the voice of the community
She's like a lawyer, reminded me of Phoenix Wright. "OBJECTION!!!"
the "calloway paternity test files" is sending me
Those files in and of themselves are amazing, but the fact that there is a typo in "paternity" is what's really making me lose my marbles :D
Matt is so red when Marisha and Laura were talking about if their characters just broke up. Love it.
Can we keep exandrian news at the start? This is great
Seriously the host + Dani as a co anchor is a great idea!
Robbie was so fucking good. Please keep him around forever, especially as host.
Not everyone will feel this or agree but IMHO, this 4SD should be suggested viewing for folks coming into CR C3. Robbie's reactions to and explanations of his lack of knowledge on events happening in C3 are brilliant. He's sitting at the table and doesn't have a clue of who's who and what's what. I love that.
I wonder why Ashley got so much sh*t for that and people find it adorable when it comes to Robbie. Oh wait, I know why...
@@marissamemoriSexism is the vast majority I’m sure, but it is different for a guest to come back after 78 episodes than for a cast member to come back repeatedly every few weeks. I love Ashley and never gave her any flack for doing her job, but it is different.
@@marissamemori There is a distinct difference between Ashley's in and out, and Robbie's lengthy hard cut, (no innuendos intended, but I noticed them while writing). Ashley would be keeping up from time to time and have a good grasp of the plot, but didn't have the mechanics solid all the time from being busy and playing one of the most complex things to do, a prepared caster, which she wisely chose to miinimize to a Barbarian for C2 when she knew that she would still have numerous absences. With Robbie, he was gone much longer and his character would reasonably not know as much about the plot. He hasn't had to show too much tactical acumen either as there haven't been a lot of fights since he returned. I think you calling sexism is blatant projection.
@JoeGrzzly Unfortunately, it has also continued for Ashley in Campaign 3 with a complete lack of absences. She's still lagging after 2 straight years of playing and 7+ years of on an off play, whereas Robbie has done well to pick everything up from zero with very limited play (that we have seen).
Either way, still love them both
Robbie needs to be a permanent cast member. Great player and host!
Dying over "Bren there, done that" 😂
Robbie is such a part of this crew, it's always better with what he brings there. I really hope he's around for the rest of the campaign.
Robbie just fits so perfectly with the cast it's unreal
i love that the entire time they are discussing ludinus/ruby vanguard matt is just staring straight at his shoes trying to not gove anything away 😂
Robbie has been the best thing for Critical Role since his 1st appearance in C3.
I love how Omar just chills upside down on Marishas lap, he's just so chill and looks so funny
Robbie is so good at everything! He's a good egg, and we missed him. Glad he's back. I could no-sh!t see him as full cast.
God, Robbie's questions were so good and insightful. Sometimes it feels like the questions asked are lacklustre or unimpactful, but each of his questions were just so goood
1:18:12 Robbie even has Laura's seal of approval.
He's been such an amazing moderator for the CR panel at SDCC and as the tavern keepers for 4SD. He's truly the gem of this campaign.
Hearing Robbie talk about losing the potential of the future broke me. I lost my father very recently and his funeral is in a few days. We had so many plans for the future and knowing that won't happen for us now is the hardest thing...
Robbie Daymond is such a natrual at everything CR. It's like this man was born to be apart of this.
*1 min into matt talking* "I know those pants! I have those pants!" *Nods in comfortable* 😂😂
Drop the pants link!
@@mikesLPhrasing!
please let us know how to get those pants
Robbie's smear frame was a perfect choice for the freeze-frame
love this episode, love Marisha's hair pin, love the post-its behind Dani, and how is Robbie so charismatic and good at everything????? that man is unreal
"Dorian is a master compartmentalizer" hit me like a ton of bricks. As someone attempting to reform from this, it feels like everything you say is putting a burden on the people around you. I really hope Dorian is able to let that go.
Every time bowl gate comes up: caleb wanted to wait and see what was going on before handing it over, he explained that at least 6 times. Not a communication issue on his end. The party was not listening to him. He was super clear about it
They were already so frustrated over him identifying things and not immediately telling them what the magic items did. Beau also had no patience with what she percieved as any kind of authority figure so it was perfect roleplay for her.
Robbie is the best host yet! He is so smooth and charismatic!
Sam's next character... I expect an Aeorian trapped in the blue crystal thingy to malfunction and spit his new char out confused af 😂
That's what I'm guessing too, I just messaged a friend of mine about that
Petition for Robbie to become full-time cast member. He's SO good at asking amazing, open-ended questions. At and away from the table.
Robbie really should be invited to stay forever, he's so good at this
There are a lot of themes from each of the campaigns that I really like. Vox Machina's theme I think was overcoming great obstacles and letting go of your past. Mighty Nein's was trusting your friends and becoming better people. Bell's Hells I think is not giving into your dark side when many other people would, and to not let your circumstances define who you are... so far.
“overcoming great obstacles”
…
*doors*
@@vincentgeiszler3749 lol how many were there? I forgot
I think Tal summed it up quite well. Bell's Hells is a party of villains who have to make the active choice each day to try and be a good person
....
And Orym / Dorian.
Although I think the two of them have good backgrounds to become villains tbh
robbie's intro energy is infectious. hes a great addition.
"Wither & Bloom can't melt steel vines" might be the greatest thing ever 1:04
WE NEED ROBBIE AND LIAM IN AN EPISODE OF 4SD TOGETHER
Idk why but “sexy as f*ck” from Robbie is killing me 57:12
Laura doing the recap has the Jester casting sending energy
Laura half hears sruff Matt explains the way she wants to hear.
"Oh, you mean my mom is potentially a good guy and is just brainwashed, right?"
"She has known ludinas a short time but views him as correct after all of her 3xtensive research."
Imogen: "oh no, my mother has no free will in this! How will I ever know if she is E-vil!!"
Sorry, Laura, your backstory was an evil, accidentally abusive , not-good mom, and Matt took that, and gave you a BBEG that did the research and believes in what she's doing.
Robbie's transitions into the next question are pure perfection.
Robbie's instant was brilliant and his insight was great.
I can't help but see the hypocrisy of Laudna saying the sword is dangerous and seeing Orym with it was insulting because it killed her, while she was killed by Delilah and willingly brought her back after her party risked their lives to save her from Delilah.
I think that's the point.
USE ME AS A ROBBIE SHOULD HOST EVERY 4-SIDED DIVE BUTTON
Laura approves, see 1:18:12
That bit about Delilah and Laundna speaking at the same time- I thought it was pretty powerful that the moment it stopped was when Laundna said "I love you" to Imogen. Those word were what started grounding her again and bringing her back mentally. But is it bigger than that? It's cliche, but is love and connection part of the key to separating herself from Delilah? Or at least starting to? Cool stuff :)
It's interesting when you remember Delilah isn't loveless. In fact she's someone who loved TOO much. She leaned into too heavily with her vampire husband that they dreamed of ruling together and were prepared to break the world together. So while she's done some absolutely heinous things, the chilling part isn't that it's out of her not knowing love. It's BECAUSE she loves. It's the dark side to where love can take you. And Imogen and Laudna were encouraging each others dark sides EXACTLY how I think Delilah and her husband did. So it's not even a case of love conquers all cliche, because love also caused this. It's just an interesting dynamic of are they willing to become a healthy love or an obsessive, enabling love?
I loved when Matt did it the first time it's like he *knew* what Marisha was going to say, it didn't feel reactive, to the point that Marisha had to quickly recover from a moment of obvious shock and appreciation.
When Marisha said she builds her character narrativly, I felt that. That's what I do with all my characters.
1:09:16 for a second there I thought Robbie was just casually petting Matt but then I remembered Omar was sitting on the table
It just hit me but Aeor is basically keyleth and the cliff.
They both said "Were basically gods". then fell great heights and died.
It never occurred to me that the performor reading for an audiobook might be enjoying it for the first time. I'm so used to the books being read by the authors or it being a classic.
I love to look through here and see just a ton of love for Robbie
I love Robbie so much, I missed him!!
It's truly amazing to see how Matt and Marisha look at each other when they're talking
Matt/Marisha and Gomez/Morticia are the only reason I believe in unconditional true love.❤❤
@@cassiesmith6589 you guys don't know these people. dial down the parasocialism
Every time Robbie yells “WHAT THE FUCQ” I die laughing 😂😂😂
Is that a scissors hairpiece in Marisha's hair? Love the subtle Laudna nod!
Yes! Robbie is the best. I want him now and forever.
Well, if Laudna could do something like Fjord and ask for a deity to replace their patron, maybe she could offer herself to the gods, maybe the changebringer. Then she could even ask for a subclass change and change to celestial patron or something, which has the bonus of providing healing to the team.
BEST EPISODE OF 4 SIDED DIVE YET
😊 having the corgi on the table is one of the things I look forward to
On this show every time I see it
For Robbie Daymond fans, he voices the character "Prompto" in Final Fantasy XV, and he does a fantastic job. Definitely worth checking out if you ever wanted to know what it feels like to have Robbie Daymond accompany you on a heroic adventure.
Hes also one if the main 3 teammates in Jujutsu Kaisen. Which feels weird. Cuz I was like. Wait. WHAT.
Heck yeah! Robbie is here!
This is by far my most favorite 4-Sided Dive. Great dynamic and discussed nice things. Robbie is a great host!
ROBBIE: So, spill some tea ...
MARISHA: I like to fight Liam!
DANI: Don't you touch my boy Liam!
MATTHEW: I created a magical, fantasy world!
LAURA: Pass me more popcorn
DOGE: I slep table.
love lol! but legit, I actually love Marisha and Liam's RPing! Even in campaign 2, they had SUCH great interactions.
Aeor...you mean where Bolo's from?
Please, can you... destroy?
1:42:25
Laura: my character is named red
Mat:ok
Marisha: my character is named vermilha
May: oh no..
Liam: hey mat thinking of changing Orym’s name to Crimson what do you think?
Mat: get out.
Note for new GMs: what Matt says early on the episode about "random encounters showing the world" is *extremely* valuable ^^
At the very least, even though the statblock is just yet another pack of wolves, they're *local* wolves and you can use them to say something about the local area that makes lore the reward for what would be yet another boring fight.
I could have sworn during Laura's recap to Robbie she was going to say, "And this one time, at band camp..."
I love Dani's new side desk set up!
when matt described aeor architecture as "art deco meets brutalist" i lost my mind, i was just describing the dwarven architecture in skyrim as that exact combination to my mom so now that's how i'm imagining aeor 👀
Robbie is great at this
I loved marishas choice in the whole sword gate thing , I only wish we saw more tension from the other party members, instead if mostly taking her side and forgiving her right away. But i absolutely loved and respected the excellent role-playing on the sides of laudna and immogen
Yeah it honestly hurt seeing everyone gang up on Orym. Both were at fault but I wish things were less one sided.
Look... I mean... this has been a recurring theme with the whole group from the very beginning.... FCG's rampages... Chet's uncontrolled wolf outs... the whole Bordor thing (including Orym's nod to Laudna)... and Ashton (and Fern's complicity) with the shard... and FCG, again, with the whole self-sacrifice thing...
I personally love that at this point hardly anyone can really say they're any different and that, after all those trials, they can forgive and move on (mostly)... that's growth!
@@vincentgeiszler3749...when were people ganging up on orym
@@vincentgeiszler3749 The party was split. Ashton and Imogen backed Laudna while Fearne and Dorian were backing Orym. Chet was in the middle which I see is very fitting for his character. Everyone was not on Laudna's side.
Once Laudna came back in the room Orym dropped his motives and instead chose to focus on Laudna's comfortability. Since that happened there were no more sides to the situation. Just "What do we do now?" I was a bit annoyed how fast Orym dropped everything though and everyone else came to laudna's side even though seconds before that they were all essentially agreeing they can't trust Laudna.
May I just say, I enjoy Robbie and Laura's dynamic.
A few times they've been together, there's some sibling energy 😂
I just realized something. If Laudna runs into an Artificer with a focus in Gem based magic. She is screwed. They have not run into an Artificer at all this campaign. They have all been Tinkerers.
Omar is such a good boi, that I didn't even notice him laying on the table for the first 20 minutes....🐕🐕❤❤
That tower drop was clean. The tower looked so stable up until the block was removed, nary a shke or shudder.
He did a great job keeping the others on track.
Robbie Daymond, News Anchor, Handsome Blue Boy. Love that
Definitely, one of the very better episodes.
The captions are hilarious. "Fearne's got a bad dad" = "First got to Baghdad." 😂
Robby did so well as host
Robbie just needs to be a permanent addition to the CR cast.
This has been my FAVORITE 4Sided Dive episode yet, and I've seen them all. It gave everything I wanted it to amd I adore how seriously Robbie takes this.
I NEED more Robbie hosted episodes! The juice that was squeezed this ep was SO juicy!
Omar on the table reminds me of being a little kid and my parents are sitting around with friends drinking coffee. I either want to go home and play or fall asleep. 😪
Matt's lore and expression of it is insane. The way he talked about how magic works and how divine magic doesn't have to be through a divine being and the debates about it is so cool from someone who enjoys casual world building. I know this campaign has been going on for over a decade its still insane.
Robbie as the permanent Tavern Keeper? He has a natural host vibe and asks some damn good and insightful follow up questions.
I'm glad we're all in agreement that we never want Robbie to leave 😂😂
What a clutch find Critical Role had with getting Robbie on the show. Love the whole cast, mad props to everyone! Good episode!
All i want to know is who or what Kingsley remembered Mallymauk hearing scream as those invisible chains broke
Hearing Matt talk about his creations is so amazing. Can we just glue him to a chair (outside of the gaze of the Mighty Nein) and tell him to just... info dump? I could listen to that level of nerd-age for d a y s.
Also picture this: An Exandria setting based BG3-esque game. i think I'd sell both my kidneys for that.
We need another Exandrian GMs roundtable. As a yearly event, at the very least.
Best 4SD in a long time. Keep Robbie as the host, please.
48:30 amen to this. The first thing that wrecked me as a barely grown adult when i lost my father suddenly and unexpectedly, was almost a feeling of a timeline being cut. A potentially limitless expanse of possible moments, conversations, adventures, etc, just being completely erased before they could happen. That sensation has always stuck with me throughout the following years, especially when similar events happen and you once again feel like so much potential just got zapped away in the blink of an eye. Strong stuff.
23:30 Did Matt just imply that Jester’s reviving magic might still be intact?
Man, marisha's talk about how laudna struggles with self worth, thinking it's coincidental when everyone around her is saying she was already awesome... that's almost verbatim what has been on loop in my head for years. I got to go think about that.
2 things to take away from that I think:
1. Negative self-talk comes from someone who knows your deepest weaknesses, how to push them and where to hit hardest; it's not a fair fight, so don't treat it as such.
2. You have a support network of people telling you you're awesome. They care enough about you to want to lift you up, never forget that.
Hope this was some useful insight from someone who has struggled with imposter syndrome for years.
@@DarkParagonOooo love this comment
This is everything I didnt knew I needed tonight.
Liliana gonna have a full on Darth Vader saves Luke from Palpatine moment and throw Luda down the reactor shaft of the moon 🧐
Just one more reason to love Robbie
