And the band says all they did was party in Ibiza lol. Jokes aside, this. Is a damn goldmine! I've always had an affinity for the working version of Dream Attack
i guess this is the closest ill get to another version of mr. disco. one of their best songs, completely underrated and never released as a single or even remixed
@@TheLVJ id kill for anything. A demo a rough mix. Remix, alternate mix, live versions. There's nothing except this, a couple live crowd recording from 89, and the original song itself
Thanks for the upload, really interesting to hear these! Love Blue Monday 88 without the samples. A thought I had whilst listening was that around the time of Republic, Radio 1 did a "New Order Day" where they played New Order songs each hour with little soundbites from the band. I specifically remember for Blue Monday 88, Stephen mentioned they didn't like Quincy Jones' original remix as he put samples in all the way through and that the released version was instead mixed by John Potoker. Could the _very_ sample heavy version at 42:10 be that original Quincy Jones mix? For a very well respected producer, it does sound a bit like a kid who just got a new toy!
They couldnt wait till Technique Boxset could they. Blue Monday 88 without the samples is ace. No toilet cistern samples. Worst thing Quincey Jones did. But this without the samples kicks ass. 35:00
If you listen to the Transmissions podcast, they only did Fine Time as off their faces most of the time in Ibiza. Rest was done in Pete Gabriel’s Bath studio.
Cheers for the upload, one of my favourite albums by NO.
22:13 is very similar to the riff for Primitive Notion.

Me too. Aka 'Gillian's Guitar Track'...... So lovely.

Top 3 NO song.
I'd kill for a literal disco cover.

That’ll be the next album for a re release, might have something there .
Thanks for posting this. Although, I've had this for a few years now, it's good to see it up on RUclips for others to listen to.

3:26 is the band trying to work Salvation Theme into a more fleshed out track here? Sounds similar.
