"Chloro-Perverts"...! Lol - this is a trip down nostalgia avenue for me....once upon a time, ages upon eons upon eras ago....when GI Joe's & Stingray bicycles were state-of-the-art , I remember listening to these episodes with my brothers on either Friday or Saturday evenings.....I couldn't have been more than 6 and they were already repeats at that time...

📝 People often forget how powerful words can be...we are so fortunate as a species that we can so easily listen to these words, and benefit from them in so many ways! Our minds transform them into our own individualized rendering of the intended story, as the words flow forth......and ....and it's WONDERFUL!!! THANK YOU for providing this classic theater!

Check out MindWebs - that was done, in my opinion, quite a bit better. But there are some pretty terrible stories in there. I'd recommend Desertion and The Gun Without a Bang.

@@pantelaja6528 The Snake from MindWebs was AWFUL. I also thought The Swimmer was terrible but it's just an opinion. I really didn't like those stories.

@@richardwicks4190 Personal choice of course, but for me there is no bad story in Mindwebs, just better ones and great ones. Music and voice of Michael Hanson of course.

@@pantelaja6528 Well, I have no idea what the Swimmer was about, and lost a lot of respect for John Steinbeck with The Snake.
Neither story seemed to go anywhere, nor did either have any discernible point, at least to me.
It's like when you spend several minutes listening to somebody's story, only to realize it goes nowhere. Kind of like watching a modern Star Trek television episode.

Btw, in the original story all the ideas are like banging from outside to be let in and requesting a reducing valve are Mullen's. He says at the end he dreamed to be a great hero (because he always had his wits and courage) but was never given an opportunity to prove himself. The rest of them do nothing while he saves them. Also his walk outside the spaceship is intimidating and daring.

Old Time Radio beats TV without even trying. Today people don't know how to use their imagination and I find that very sad. They are actually too lazy

Sojourner Jerel Hi- I say that b/c i think it is true. Much of the acting across the board is sub-par and stereotypical of the genre. The same actors get hired for hundreds of parts and their acting ability is very unconvincing. And many of the stories are fairly hack written with little actual drama to be heard. One recent example - The Phil Harris - Alice Faye drama where he is a musician who acdidenly kills a young fan girl. Listen and see what you think.

Radu Savutiu It actually means Old Time Radio.

Radu Savutiu Some days you kill the bear, some days the bear kills you. Old Time Radio is a corny name, but that is what it has been called for decades. Maybe in another country it is Old Theater Radio. Or maybe some folks want to change it to something a little more sophisticated. They floated Old Tart Radio and Old Tomato Radio, but they did not catch on. Haha.
