When everyone else was wearing sloppy clothes, Robert cut his hair and decided to start wearing well-cut suits and ties onstage, and instantly became the sexiest man in music. Remember? I miss him so!
This is one of the tightest performances I've ever seen. The band is one the money and Robert Palmer is at the top of his game - vocal perfection and stunning physical presentation...just STUNNING!
Hell...is not cool in any way shape or form. Robert Palmer was though. I hope he lived a life so he doesn't know how uncool heel is. I hope you do too. Your choice,
Was there ever a greater Gentleman in rock? Robert was so suave' and sophisticated, but a fantastic smooth rock singer at the same time, looking every bit a Preacher Man! He was unique & is missed ♥ Still feel the HEAT just watching this ♥
Who said you CAN"T be elegant and cool at the same time???? I'm a rocker but in my book this dude was one of the coolest artists of his era....I know your kickin' ass in heaven Robert!!!!!!1
I swear you could look up the word "cool" in the dictionary back then and Palmer's picture would be next to the definition. What a shame we lost him so soon.
You are a special kind of lady. Most "women" like it when a man talks down to them and hate the "Gentleman" factor. Nice to know there are still ladies that like when a man slips on a tie and knows when to turn up the heat.
Robert Palmer... another classic blast from the past! That album was a soundtrack to the 80's... Anyone else wear out this album? Gone way too soon. RIP!
This is the one band that came out of the 80's that just smoked. Palmer used real musicians. People that had paid their dues. They just produced a wall of sound.
Such a Class Act. If I had the power to bring someone back from the Grave it would be Robert Palmer so he could grace the world with that eternal cry in his soulful voice. Alas, youth is beautiful and life is precious!
Eileen Saint Lauren yeahhhhh umm I believe I'd let Robert Palmer stay dead and bring back Otis Redding. How long's it been since you listened to these arms of mine? Watch him perform I've been loving you too long live at the Monterey pop music festival in 1967 on RUclips then tell me that Robert Palmer is cool.
Michael Mccollum Like me, the first album that Robert Palmer bought was by Otis Redding. I like to think that Otis and Marvin Gaye’s music lived on through Robert Palmer. Great artist and performer.
One of the coolest cats that ever walked the earth. This is really tough to play, yet the drum section never misses. Really TIGHT performance is this. He’d got a great range had Mr Palmer, full of soul that could bring a man to tears, ... ‘Can we still be friends’ being my absolute favorite of his back catalogue, what a gent, what a mind, what a vocal... and what a shame. X
Primal and frenetic, but totally focussed performance. Palmer exudes authority and respect, like a shaman directing a fertility rite in some remote tribe. Yet he looks like a luxury car salesman. Incongruous? Yes. Exciting? Absolutely!
5micky2 Everything is carefully controlled and nuanced but at the same time there is a terrific intensity and emotion just bubbling below the surface....gives his performances incredible dramatic excitement.
RIP Robert Palmer & Tony Thompson. Their 1985 album with John & Andy Taylor from Duran Duran was terrific. Also produced by the late great iconic bass player Bernard Edwards.
Damn! I love a man in a nice suit. Robert Palmer was my fave partialy because he was a sharp dressed man. Mostly because he made good music. But really guys. The clothes DO make the man.
I wish some of todays artists would take notice. Women love a well dressed ,well coiffed man. And having a handsome, well dressed man lead a band and sing is all it takes. Robert's taste in fashion and his hair drew a lot of us in. He looks absolutely stunning singing this song. RIP
Cheryl B This concert was a good showcase of that, there is a terrific blues laden blow through of Otis Redding's "Dreams To Remember", a funky dance friendly cover of Jermaine Jackson's "Tell Me Im Not Dreaming", and a romantic, lush, pre rock era throwback at its best performance on the slow, lush standard "She Makes My Day" (which Palmer wrote, and scored a Top 10 hit in the UK with). When I saw him in concert he did African JuJu & Mbiru music, Latin & Carribean tunes, heavy metal, romantic ballads, almost all of which he wrote, plus a wide range of covers of artists as diverse as Redding, Motorhead, The Gap Band, & Peggy Lee !! Amazing
@Thomas Leonard You know Mr. Palmer’s repertoire very well. I love his Mbiru number, “Woke Up Laughing.” I’m not sure which song is JuJu. (I named my parrot after JuJu music. One of my favorites.)
I TRULY HAD NO IDEA HE HAD PASSED ON, BUT HE SURE LEFT A LEGACY OF MUSIC, I THOUGHT HE WAS JUST WRITING AND NOT SINGING...........HE WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED! I HAVE BEEN WATCHING ALL OF HIS MUSIC ALL MORNING...........R.I.P. YOU'RE AN ANGEL TO EVERYONE THAT LISTENS TO YOUR MUSIC! XOXO
Who likes it hot in 2024?❤🔥

His soul is genius.
We love well dressed men ❤
This man oozes sexiness, swag, elegance, and he’s just cooler than the other side of the pillow.
Sorta like what Bryan Ferry did earlier.
Right
Past tense. Palmie has been dead like 25 years. So he oozed sexiness, swag, el...Jesus, yawn..
Robert was one of the classiest, well dressed and handsome men in rock and roll. He had a certain charm about him and he was very charismatic.
This is one of the tightest performances I've ever seen. The band is one the money and Robert Palmer is at the top of his game - vocal perfection and stunning physical presentation...just STUNNING!
I agree! Well, all but the absolutely butchered guitar "solo".
He's cool as hell when he walks out. Losing him was as tragic as Bowie.
Hell...is not cool in any way shape or form. Robert Palmer was though. I hope he lived a life so he doesn't know how uncool heel is. I hope you do too. Your choice,
@@hekiahhaven5342 that was one of the most sanctimonious responses I've ever seen. Congratulations.
Far more than I'd fucking say.

EXACTLY what I was just telling my girl.
Best-dressed man in show business. 😎
🖤🖤
You damn skippy......
Debonair is the word I see his picture next to.
Robert Palmer was the sexiest gentleman to ever grace the stage! Made me feel the heat! ♥
Him, and Falco. never know what the plan is. Instead we are left with the like of Kanye.
Ryan Grimes Isn't that the sad truth? ! Oh well at least we can choose who we watch on YT and I am proud to say I don't watch Kanye lol! Peace ♥
msstevie1951 - You all know you love Kanye's stupidity!
Willie D. Washington Haha! Oh yeah just love him! Not! ♥

That swagger as he comes on to the stage. He owns that space from that point on, commanding our undivided attention.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE ENTERTAINERS OF ALL TIME!
the entire band is incredible.Sending this song to the next level...
He is simply irresistible!!! ♥♥♥
love his moves ,stepping backwards ,useing his hands to bring a song to the end
I love his haircut. Awesome song, awesome man!!!
He was a very handsome man with an irresistible voice..
Robert oozed class. Rest in peace.
A heart attack was fatal for this brilliant elegant man and singer! Love his rhytmic music!!

Robert Palmer... another classic blast from the past! That album was a soundtrack to the 80's... Anyone else wear out this album? Gone way too soon. RIP!
Most awesome 80's song ever. RIP Robert Palmer, we miss you!
This is the one band that came out of the 80's that just smoked. Palmer used real musicians. People that had paid their dues. They just produced a wall of sound.
Frank Blair on bass, Donny Wynn on drums, Eddie Martinez on guitar... I forget the beck up singer...
@John Voss BJ Nelson was his backup singer.
No I never knew a white guy that is so damn hot
Finest R&R solo artist of the 80s...still better than almost anyone today...
gone but not forgotten...

Robert Palmer was the man so suave loved him. One of the best whoever did it !
Best dressed Rocker in history...RIP Robert
I love a man who works in a suit!

5micky2 So smooth, he reminded me of a high productive stock broker moonlighting as a rock star. Ah, so good looking. One of a kind.
No one made it look so easy as Robert Palmer...and of course that's one of the reasons he is so great...
+stephen dwyer- Rubbish NOT- looks like you've lost your way here, bud.
Robert was one cool classy cat and a true talent... RIP
RIP Robert Palmer & Tony Thompson. Their 1985 album with John & Andy Taylor from Duran Duran was terrific.

suave, elegant and sexy. what a package! esp in those suits he wore all the time. I never get tired of him💝
Yes he did! So sexy so debonair!

So talented, elegant and so handsome!! I will always miss him!
I flipping miss the 80's! F this current time. Someone please build a time machine so I can go home. Lol. For real, though.

RIP RP. Much Respect.
What a man! Hot indeed.
I din't no that he'd passed, was drawn here based on a musical oddity my band had played around with which was fun - thank you rob
RIP Robert. Unbelievable band and the drummer looks like he is having the time of his life there!! They don't make musicians like this anymore
True Yorkshire man. Great stuff rob.
A Wall Street Icon. Class personified. Rock and Roll misses its greatest Esquire.
Damn! I love a man in a nice suit.
Robert Palmer was my fave partialy because he was a sharp dressed man.
Mostly because he made good music.
But really guys. The clothes DO make the man.

Robert Palmer was a cool dude. I remember this song growing up in the 80s.
I wish some of todays artists would take notice. Women love a well dressed ,well coiffed man. And having a handsome, well dressed man lead a band and sing is all it takes. Robert's taste in fashion and his hair drew a lot of us in. He looks absolutely stunning singing this song. RIP

Robert was friggin great. His band, a powerhouse. Every tune kicks A
Robert Palmer, David Bowie and Bryan Ferry. Very fine fashion sense. Excellent music.
Miss you Robert! RIP. Met all the UB40 lads, Astro was down to Earth. Pity money squabbles ruined UB40. UK 🇬🇧
Robert Palmer was the consummate rock star handsome, classy, and the man could be funky as hell or toned down when doing a ballard.
Cheryl B This concert was a good showcase of that, there is a terrific blues laden blow through of Otis Redding's "Dreams To Remember", a funky dance friendly cover of Jermaine Jackson's "Tell Me Im Not Dreaming", and a romantic, lush, pre rock era throwback at its best performance on the slow, lush standard "She Makes My Day" (which Palmer wrote, and scored a Top 10 hit in the UK with).

one of the great royal kings of smooth white boy soul yacht rock! Untouchable. Massive drum sound, tight as.
RIP Robert Palmer ❤
I love this song - but, the 80's were some weird years! Big Robert Palmer fan.
The only man that can rock a suit on a rock concert.
