My all time favorite singer. Got to meet him once backstage and saw him live at least 6 times. Awesome performer, singer, songwriter....miss him so much.

One of my all-time fave singers and love the way he arranged his songs around great bass lines. He always managed to keep it either funky or emotionally magnetic

that was the song that got me into RP, when it was 1st released. I was at that 92 Dublin gig too. Still have the ticket.

Saw him live at the old Hammersmith Odeon, now the Apollo. His Armani suits were as immaculate as his performances on stage, but they were soaking wet by the end of the set. I later found out that he had some arrangement with Armani whereby they supplied him with around 50-100 identical suits to be discarded after every performance. Really great singer who was taken far too early-- I had followed him since his Vinegar Joe days with Elkie Brooks, another greatly unappreciated artiste

If we don't still have Robert Palmer, we still have these *GREAT* performances. I remember on Sunday nights on FM radio they broadcast many live concerts. I remember quite a few Robert Palmer concerts, and interviews. *FOR ME:* the highlight here is: "Dreams"/"Early@Morning"
If i'd been to this concert, it would have changed my life.

This takes me back... Had the pleasure of seeing this gentleman in Feb 89' as part of his Heavy Nova tour while in Australia. Pretty much the same set as I recall. I was starting my final year of high school at the time. This is making me feel young. ;)

I only got to see Robert Palmer once in 1983 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wi. Fantastic show!!! I was so excited when I got tickets for Power Station so I could see him again but he pulled out of the tour and Michael Desbares replaced him. I always wondered why he pulled out of that tour?

Is this the version from the Westwood One vinyl promo? I believe there should be 20 songs total and I'm missing only one .... Happiness. If someone could supply me with a lossless copy of the BBC In Concert disc that has it I'd be happy to supply the other missing songs from this show. Here's to hoping.
Theres another Pre FM show from the 23rd. It's very similar and it has Happiness on it. I think that one is even better than this. And it is a little better quality too...
