yeah which sucks and u can see how her not having a parent that comforts her affects her relationship with her own kids. we see that in the scene that follows right after that one. she feels bad clearly but she doesn’t know how to comfort her son

Twins do really have a strong bond in real life, when he snuck in you could tell his brother sensed something. That's just an entrée showing what this war will be like, when the enemies are blood related. Whoever survives this, they'll be traumatized for life.

Neither one of Alicents sons are fit to be king. This is really viserys fault. The realm would have assumed loyalty or at least most of it had he named rhyneara heir earlier. He was more involved in her childhood. By the time he had these boys he was burned out and sick. With this he was not as attentive and so they are broken.

What are you talking about? He named her as his heir and stood on that for over two decades. It’s Alicent/Otto’s fault for not actually training Aegon to be king when they knew they were going to try and take the thrown out from under Rhaenyra’s legs.

I could be mistaken cause I don't think they address it but I assumed Luke's death is public knowledge the people may view it differently because in modern times he just a 14-15 child but Luke was basically an adult in this world so he was a dragon rider who died in battle, he had a chance(even tho very low still had a chance...If we remember him and Arrax had escaped through the gap but he lost control of Arrax who turned around and attacked Vhagar) Jaeharys is a 4 yr old and defenseless its a different type of lost among the people.
Apparently In the show Aemond and Jace same age and Luke 2 years younger its just looks like theres a large gap because they actors age gap is larger but the characters ages are different. So I believe Aemond and Jace were 10 and Luke was 8. And ummm....Jace pulled up with the knife, Aemond doesn't like Aegon or Jace but they didn't cut out his eye. So Aemond was mean with his insult sure but he didn''t start the fight and even if you believe his words warrented the other 4 childrens responds they brought a knife why? The only people who can ride dragons and claim them are their relatives so did he plan to cut a relative from the jump? Aemond is that example of the kid who was always bullied then when he finally fights back the teacher only catches him, but he won't be bullied anymore and yet he still that insecure child who remembers what it was to be bullied.
Aemond may look Pathetic in that scene to many but I believe it shows his humanity which we rarely get to see his he is house greens greatest warrior but he is still only 16 yr old who feels the weight of this war believe he started it, when it was obviously enviable while his mother throws it on him claiming him killing Luke was the cause, when it was her who plotted in stealing the throne in the final moments, Its just like if one kid cuts out anothers eye in this age it handled by law but among the royals Viserys was law and he was definitely in a tough spot but in the chambers that night he completely failed as a father, and king instead of trying to figure out something he basically showed Aemond didn't matter to him and just brushed it off, Your son blinded in one eye and you just tell him and his mother to move on and I understand it was a tough spot but you have to do better.
Yeah Im team Green but only because of Aemond who I feel is one of the best Characters last season and I hope we get so much more of him other wise I could care less about Green or Black

I saw an interview with the actor who plays Rhaenyra and they said 2 weeks time had passed between the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2. And to me, I think these first 2 episodes are like 2-4 days max.

Aemond instigated the whole thing! He insulted Rhaena, saying that riding a pig would suit her. She then charged at him and he pushed her to the ground. Later in the scuffle of punching & kicking, he is the one who took it to the next level by picking up a rock. This wasn’t a defensive move because he was on top at that point. Furthermore, he threatened Lucery’s life by holding the rock over him and saying he would die just like his father. That is when Jacaery’s took out his knife to protect his younger brother. That is what happened.
@@jakkeday1 that’s absolutely rewriting of the scene you started okay then changed the finals moments, but from the beginning he evaded and pushed them to the ground, but when 4 attackers rush you what choice did he have like I don’t get why Aemond is the bad guy for defending himself in the fight and he grabs the rock after kicking 3 attackers off him and uses it as a weapon to equalize the fight, the rock is the only thing that stopped them from rushing him again, like what was he suppose to do obviously they wanted to hurt him he was on the ground and they jumped on him and was punching him while he could barely defend himself once he gets them off, he does hold the rock over one claiming he’ll burn sure but after getting jumped but then I don’t see a reason not to threaten my attackers, Jace pulls the knife after he calls him strong, even the girls were shocked when he pulled the knife it wasn't like he pulled it to save anyone he did he cause he called him "Strong"…which was after the fight had already paused so he then continued the violence…it’s literally a scene you can pull up and rewatch how can people pretend it happened differently

It doesnt make sense. Moondancer is said to be a young dragon, that dragon id not look small. That was also in driftmark, Baela is supposed to by at kingslanding.

@@Tashwampa I agree with this and Rhaenyra making an effort to be close to her siblings when they were younger and showing them kindness might have also changed the relationship between them and her kids. Being on good terms with their mom. Alicent might have not been poisoned so easily by Otto against her if she didn't have a reason to fear her.
