@montygoober7980 I found I can go up to a stranger, light their flame, and then press the one candle invite to friendship. When it prompts, “ask this person to be your friend?” Say no, and you will still hold a white candle. Hope this is helpful!

My friend unlocked this first (not even the crown was first). I was leading and they were playing with their new prop and suddenly pressed on the white candle. Ever since then, they keep wearing this prop. 😂
if youre new to the game and planning on doing the trials, go to fire trial with a friend, and make the friend (if youre the one whos leading the both of you) carry the red candle. it helps you see better and you wont die in the dark!
I also found a funny glitch with the lamp. Im not really super duper sure it works most of the time but if you're with a friend and youre holding their hand? If you go light a candle or just pull our your own candle, the lamp would up up upwards! I was pretty surprised the first time it happened and now everytime im with my friends i show them my "fying lamp magic trick" ehe.
as long as you are holding the lantern before igniting the candle flying shouldnt remove it. sometimes certain wind walls can rip it off but for the most part it wont go anywhere
The white candle is cancelled when you start flying or jumping most of the times. However, when you carry the lamp, flying, jumping or swimming will keep you holding to the lamp, not cancelling the animation. Overlap it with the white candle, and the candle won't be cancelled at all!
Basically if u don’t have the lamp the candle usually gets put away when you start flying unless your friend carries you and also u can have candle under water….
The Anniversary Lantern in Sky is NOT WORKING anymore due to the update. You can't use this trick anymore.
