If you like that sort of thing, go watch the "House of the Rising Sun" cover by Luca Sestak, piano and drums. Stick with it, he really opens up somewhere after the halfway point. My favorite cover of that song. At the end the drummer uses a very cool effect on the cymbal that I've never seen, and you'll see Luca smile at the point I'm talking about with the early clapping, which your comment brought to mind. He is very versatile, clean playing, simple but yet sophisticated, with outstanding timing. To me, easy to listen for hours.
I also see him as one of the best. He has the best right hand I have seen. He also actually plays the guitar, doesn't tap or rub it like half of the rest "finger-style" dudes. He does some tap every now and then but it's to support the strings, not the other way around. Him and Tommy Emanuel can play very accurately and delicately while actually strumming/picking really aggressively, which I like.

Why would anyone give a thumbs down to guitar styles not to mention extreme talent and excellent ability and talent, well, unless they are jealous or deaf.
Your two compilations are very nice, but, you appear to be missing the one guitarist that was a primary influence to almost everyone on your lists: Michael Hedges!
I’m glad someone finally mentioned Michael Hedges - the predecessor of and innovator of many of these techniques. Obvious inspiration and influence (whether they know it or not) of many or most of these guitarists. And most likely the best and deepest composer of all of them. One of the saddest days of my life when he passed away in 1997. Supreme and sublime talent.
Alip bata the master guitar acoustic and the king harmonic from Indonesia.. monster & alien from 🇲🇨 with 5,99 million subscribers from 2018 - July 2024 The next level ❤ on guitar acoustic... Jazz, bluess, reggae, pop, rnb, kroncong, Flamenco and much more... ❤ Mind blowing 🎉
I'm with you John, though not for the reason you might think. What set Marcin apart from all the other guys is his understanding of musical theory. He has such a deep grasp of it that he is able to rearrange music in ways that simply blow the minds of those who really know music. His ability to incorporate percussion into his pieces is also miles above everyone else on this list...like he's in the stratosphere, and everyone else is hanging out in the Mariana Trench...he frickin uses rasgueado technique on the body of his guitar!
@@tudifrudijohansen3258 Yeah, I know. He does compose his own songs as well though. I was commenting on his understanding of music theory, and how it is evident in his rearranging of very complicated classical pieces.
That was a really good list of guitar players! I knew a few of these people but I'm glad I watched the video because now I have more musicians to check out 😁
I actually cut my nails and play finger tips , I fret the same way... I really just enjoy the freedom of getting more hits per BPM than any other guitar style. Thank You for this content.
@BrianJohnson-or5hw ... ´totally agree ! This vid came out in August 2018. Five year ago, I think the name "Eiro Nareth" was known in Russia but still not known by guitar fans round the world.
Awesome video! Noticed all either have a thumb pick or grow their thumb nail out. I'm just starting to learn the guitar and like the fingerstyle, guessing it helps them pick the cords without a separate pick...?
Of all the fingerstyle guitarists out there, Alip Ba.ta is still the best, with simple instruments but in Alip Ba.ta hands everything feels world class.
They're all great in their respective styles and genre of playing. For me, my basis of determining the greatest guitarist is when he/she can play of all sorts of style. A master of different kinds of tecniques with innovative and more revolutionized of playing the instrument. I must say Marcin is that guy. Hes unconventional and distinctive playing is out of this world compared to other guitarist. A complete guitarist with charismatic aura. The only guy that can match his caliber is Luca stricagnoli I guess. And by the way my favorite guitarist is Tommy

Some won't like the drumming acoustics that a lot of modern guitarists do, others who watch this will complain about it's authenticity as fingerstyle ...and so it goes on. It is still a list of excellent guitar players doing their thing. If anyone complains about this/your RUclips video, it simply means they cannot do it as well as these players!! I am professional guitarist and I think you should do more youtube stuff like this. Please.

Michael Hedges,the master....incomparable
Alip bata the master guitar acoustic and the king harmonic from Indonesia.. monster & alien from 🇲🇨 with 5,99 million subscribers from 2018 - July 2024
The next level ❤ on guitar acoustic... Jazz, bluess, reggae, pop, rnb, kroncong, Flamenco and much more... ❤ Mind blowing 🎉
I think all the guitarist is just only 50% of Marcin, so much incredible
U must hav not seen or listen ESTAS tonne he create his own music
I'm with you John, though not for the reason you might think. What set Marcin apart from all the other guys is his understanding of musical theory. He has such a deep grasp of it that he is able to rearrange music in ways that simply blow the minds of those who really know music. His ability to incorporate percussion into his pieces is also miles above everyone else on this list...like he's in the stratosphere, and everyone else is hanging out in the Mariana Trench...he frickin uses rasgueado technique on the body of his guitar!
@@eagle191 its not his song that hes playing there...
Ever heard of alip bata??
@@tudifrudijohansen3258 Yeah, I know. He does compose his own songs as well though. I was commenting on his understanding of music theory, and how it is evident in his rearranging of very complicated classical pieces.
This is the best list of Fingerstyle guitarists so far..good quality video..should get more subscriber's!
no one can play guitar like sungha jung..
That was a really good list of guitar players! I knew a few of these people but I'm glad I watched the video because now I have more musicians to check out 😁
Alexander misko 👍
They are all amazing, but Tommy Emmanuel and Marcin take it for me. Not enough of any of them to get a full appreciation of their style and talent.
Paco De Lucia
Anything Tommy could play, Marcin can play faster and better
I actually cut my nails and play finger tips , I fret the same way... I really just enjoy the freedom of getting more hits per BPM than any other guitar style. Thank You for this content.
Go, MARCIN!😀👍💞
What about Gabriella Quevedo????? I'm not being distracted by how hot she is either. I think she's amazing.
That fixed guitar with the projection was really awesome, id love to have the for a gig!!! You could tell an incredible story with a set like that!!!
Eiro Nareth needs to come in this conversation...touch, tone and technique. His dynamics are the best I have ever heard.
@BrianJohnson-or5hw ... ´totally agree ! This vid came out in August 2018. Five year ago, I think the name "Eiro Nareth" was known in Russia but still not known by guitar fans round the world.
8:16 Beautifully simple and articulate. Heart melting. What you play often trumps even the most fantastic of finger gymnastics.
Very beautiful!!!!
Awesome video! Noticed all either have a thumb pick or grow their thumb nail out. I'm just starting to learn the guitar and like the fingerstyle, guessing it helps them pick the cords without a separate pick...?
Best, for the most part, *percussive* finger style guitarists. But pretty cool.
Of all the fingerstyle guitarists out there, Alip Ba.ta is still the best, with simple instruments but in Alip Ba.ta hands everything feels world class.
there is No Best!
Lovely list, my favs are all here !! 🥰
Just one missing tho - John Butler
They're all great in their respective styles and genre of playing. For me, my basis of determining the greatest guitarist is when he/she can play of all sorts of style. A master of different kinds of tecniques with innovative and more revolutionized of playing the instrument. I must say Marcin is that guy. Hes unconventional and distinctive playing is out of this world compared to other guitarist. A complete guitarist with charismatic aura. The only guy that can match his caliber is Luca stricagnoli I guess. And by the way my favorite guitarist is Tommy
Thank you for putting this on RUclips. Very nice!

Billy enjoy genuine videos
That is quite the basket of talent you have put together. Amazing; and each with their own voice and distinctive style of playing. Thank you.
Alip-ba-ta from Indonesia 👍😊
Alif_ba_ta is no.1 finger style dude 😎
Nice collection of some intriguing guitar pickers. If you did not include Tommy Emmanuel, you would have been in some serious hot water! : )
TY for sharing such wonderful acoustic guitar players throughout the world. There are still many fantastic no name players that are not shown here.
I was literally finding Luca Stricagnoli ..♥️
Alip From Indonesia why is it not included, indeed the appearance of the camera without studio edits but the skills can be seen for themselves
Maybe because this video was uplaoded 1 year ago n he is a new youtuber who uploaded videos recently
Mungkin subnya kurang bnyak bang.. Coba cek chanel hobby makan.. 2,6M sub.., bisa smpai ke malasya.,. Kalau emank fans bantu sub uda ckup ( jngan salah paham, krna saya juga suka denger videonya alip ba ta)

I saw this show when it first came on. LOVED it. What a shame its no longer on. I guess you have to be into guitars like me
Phil Keaggy and Adrian Legg are two of my favorites.
Excellent stuff! Thank you. I think you'll get a few comments from tne guitar "purists" of this world. Please.
Well actually Yes, lot of complaining and that's why I uploaded second part compilation hoping that people will be happy if I've missed any of other guitarists and tried fitting almost every good guitarists...but I'm really surprised to see that people are complaining more this time...lol😀
Yes, you are correct. Most of these have talent, but why were all but a couple playing the same thing? I like the ones playing songs , more than the ones doing exercises.
You go with auto tune 🤣
Awesome! Lots of Canadians plus my fried Igor. My favorite is a tie between Justin King & the Polish -both new to me..so thanks.
Sungha Jung and Tommy Emmanuel are 2 of the most technically greatest guitarist of all time. Others may be up there in that zone but NEVER better.
All great players, But Chet Atkins is a must for this list, seeing as he was doing it in the 1930's! Actually, Tommy Emmanuel was influenced by him alone! Cheers!
you must ad a guitarist named Alip Ba Ta from Indonesia as the one of the best fingerstyle in the world....watch his video on youtube pls.......👍👌🙏
TRUE his fingerstyle is good i will consider him as a PRO Lvl
But Fay ehsan is still a King in Indonesia
Jngan berlebihan klo sama Gitaris Barat bro ,
Gua akui alif bata Bagus , tpi Klo sama Gitaris2 barat Ya jangan ngelebihin Alif Sampe bilang In the world Itu mah Namanya Norak Lu bro ,
Wkakskakkwka..., setiap orang punya penilaian sendiri bang.. Saya juga sering nonton video bang alip.., dan semua fingerstyle juga.., dan semuanya best dngan ciri khas masing"
Kampungan+alay+Taik=kurdi
ali baba is nothing,,, he is not international level... he should become a street musician,,
I’ve been chillin to Andy me for 15 years, still one of the best. Just across the board talented!
