People are allergic to just playing the C'thun in this series. Just play it and either he kills it and you hellfire to win, or he doesn't and you win with Zola even through taunts
they're trying to mix decks up a bit to make better content :)
@@Xx2Devexia2xX No he means they are allergic to playing the card when they have it, not running the deck.
Yeah, I think it’s a lil bit more nuanced though, when they get into the late game they’re playing for control, and control is always better at responding than acting. Cthun is both a their biggest swing and a solid response tool, so it’s super hard to just drop it with the knowledge they’ll lose their win con… but you’re right they throw sometimes cause they have no balls to just drop it. Plus it’s easy when we can see both hands to know what the best play is hahaha
This series has been some of my favorite hearthstone videos in a while. Love seeing old stuff in the order it came out
You prob hear this a lot Rarran but you are the only person I watch play Hearthstone now a days due to how entertaining you are. This series though is my favorite and I eagerly await it each week.

Cobalt and Catacomb was my 2nd favourite expansion right after Wizards of the Trope.
Im gunna miss this series so much when your done with it any chance your gunna do it with another creator or something similar seeing all these cards actually see play and seem good are something only recreated in a series like this love it rarran

@@Liamo051 Where will he go? MTG is in such a dog shit state right now it's the last place I'd suggest trying to move too. and being inconsistent with the type of content sent out hurts your channel more than helps it.
he's got a great personality so he might be able to get away with it but it's usually a pretty big risk.
HS is in a decent state and it's entertaining to watch

There's something so poetic about Ecore being the more calculated and higher ranked player, yet losing 2 games because Rarran mind games him out of optimal plays.

I've been loving the expansion series. The deckbuilding techs to counterplay what you know your friend is playing is exactly what happened back in the day when my friends and I had limited cardpools to play with.
I love this series. I don't watch any other hearthstone content but I actively search your channel for new videos on this series.

I love how the idea of this series is that randomly generated cards are better than discover effect because you can actually get and use good card out of those while in discover you tend to have to pick the worst option every time.
Man Rarran is a master at destroying Ecores mental. That "I bet you wish you crafted sludge belchers" was masterful.

I wish the expansion series followed the rotations. Seeing shielded mini bot in witchwood just feels like wild.

Love the series the way it is, and I think it's great how well you guys are coping with the restrictions and challenges. That Rogue idea was beautiful. Fully taking advantage of the card changes to do something we couldn't try at the time. Kudos.

Edit: Maybe both of you open 10 packs of an already played expension of your choice or craft another 2 cards to make the deckbuilding aspect more spicy

But I mean all you need to do to get banned in league is implore a 0-7 feeder "don't overextend" and that's enough to trigger them there, legitimately as the only thing said.
You guys were joking a bit near the end but honestly yeah it can be such a huge strat to mind-games your opponent. Even when you can't talk to them, setting up your turns to make your opponent assume something can cause them to misplay bc they don't actually know what you have in your hand or your deck.
I wanna see a version of this where Ecore plays an actual good deck

Removing discover rule is probably a bad idea but as is a random card is so much better than a discover, its probably a good idea to restrict random in some way. Discover you see 3 cards and pick the worst, random you just get a card which can be from a later expansion and is potentially the nuts.
For the expansion series season 2, maybe it would be nice for the winner to open more packs and the loser to craft a Rare or something

I think a rule should be that you have to use the legendary in atleast one deck for that expansion episode
In the c'thun game, Ecore could've won by playing c'thun that turn and then hellfire'ing the next turn, even if rarran used hero power, he still dies to exact lethal from hellfire.
I would like to see the same series but with meta decks, I wanne get a reminder of the decks that were played back in the day
