Great episode. Daniel did a great job to interview Jared.
I have a question that wasn't asked here. For squats is it important to train in 0.6s or you should train in slower velocities, but the result in 0.6s matters?
What I mean is (example weights)
    1. I can squat 445 lbs in 0.6s
    2. I can grind with 500lbs but in 0.4s
now: should I train with 445lbs to stay in 0.6s and not overtax my cns OR I should do push my weights to the limits and grind, which will results in overall strength gains (also in 0.6s range)

Hello! Daniel here, I will definitely let Jared know you commented this to hopefully give you a “best answer” but I can do my best to answer in the meantime.
Ultimately, it depends on the athlete and what their intended goals are (sprint speeds vs competition lifts etc.) but we often do both. One day, we may have sets of 5 at a lighter weight where the first rep or 2 are moved in that .6 m/s range and then 2 days later on our next squat day have sets of 3 at a higher weight where maybe our fastest bar speed is in that .4 or .5 m/s range. In theory, if the overall strength increases from 500 to let’s say 525, then you should be able to go from moving 445 at a .6 m/s to maybe 455-465 at a .6. But there is still importance in making sure you are hitting those higher velocity days as well
