I was concerned the scraper would scratch the surface, and happy to say it definitely doesn’t. What an easy solution to 8 years of buildup on our cooktop. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your video. I didn't have a glass scraper so used a abrasive sponge instead. It took some time but very happy with the end result. I didn't think it was possible to get those marks of my stovetop.
I used the plastic scraper that l use when l defrost the freezer and it worked, l also initially improvised with an old credit / bank card and that worked quite well too! Thank you
Thank a lot for this. Especially highlighting the scraper part. I don't know why I never thought of using glass scrapers that are used on windows, etc. But then I guess many haven't, hence they marketed the same thing as a cooktop scraper.
Thank you this worked!!! I used an abrasive sponge instead and it did leave scratches but I don’t really mind it because it’s not that noticeable anyways 🤷🏽♀️
Thank you for this. The glass scraper, used gently, is perfect! Hob looks new. Plus, the bi-carb solution is fantasic. Don't you just love bicarbonate of soda for both cooking and cleaning.....
The razor blade can scratch the glass. the steel is much harder than the glass. You may not have any problem 99% of the time but when you do the scratch is permanent. Much better to spray the glass and let the material soften up before removing with a plastic razor blade. These blades come in three colors: the color indicates how hard the plastic edge is. If you clean stainless steel cooktops you cannot use any scrapers of any kind without getting scratches. The soak method is the clear winner for scratch free gentle wiping off softened burned on stains. Glass is much easier.
Hi Bruce sorry I missed your comment. You are right with the steel. Don't use the blade on the steel. Only for glass. I never had scratched the glass with the scraper with the above method. Cheers!
Hello, This video was very useful for me to remove the tough stains but by mistake I used scrapper to clean and it left scratches on it so please help me to remove the scratches. Thanks and it would be really appreciated if you help me to sort this issue.
You just gave me hope...I burnt plastic over my stove top and I think it cracked my actual stove ceramic. I’be tried everything BUT the scraper! Thank you for being so specific! You’re AWESOME!
Trying to clean fast i past the cloth when the glass cooktop was still hot , i tried everything from market i didnt worked. In one part a used the abrasive part of the sponch and it left scraches, whot should i do ?
It happened to me once. I think I let it soak in boiling water and dish detergent. Maybe add hot water two times to make sure the sticky thing has softened. Then try with the glass scraper. It should do the job. Let me know.

Wow.. just what I needed! Thanks!
How can I remove the burned cloth without scraching the glass?
For deep stain how to clear? Scrub will scratches the white stove na
Do you need a special kind of scraper to be used on glass?
Yes, it's called a glass scraper. It usually looks like the one one in the video and it should be fairly easy to find it.
Thanks for the video...definitely helped in cleaning the buildup on the hob
Thanks for your video!
Video was beautiful, more feedback will be given after I try it.
Hey great thanks. Let me know how it wenr for you 🙏
God bless you! ❤️😋
Wont the baking soda scratch the glass? Its abrasive
No, it won't. This kind of glass is not that scratch-able. Try it on a small sample to check though.
Amanzing. But there are is stain that can´t be swiped off. Oil rainbow stain. I tried everything, including these steps. Is impossible
Thank you for this :)
My pleasure!
This amazing, thank you so much 😊
Should be very careful with scraper as it may leave some small scratches on the hob 🙁
It's in the way you hold it so that it doesn't leave marks. All described in the video. 😉
😊 thanku
OMG OMG OMG!!! Thank you!

Just a local store ...
Hi karen, i am a amazon seller, i can send you an free razor blade scraper tool

Okay I'm also curious if it works. Let it soften. Scrap gently. And use one side, this way you put more pressure. Please let me know how it went 😉🍺
Amazing thank you very much
Happy it worked for you! And thanks for taking the time to leave a comment :)
Thank you!
:) My pleasure :)

Thank you, is it possible to use baking powder instead of baking soda?
They’re the same thing so yes
@@punchperfect9216 No. Baking powder is a mixture of baking soda and an acid. It's a different product.
My hob smells like burnt cheese and I want it to stop. Thanks for this video
Did you manage? The secret is in the very hot water to soften the burns 😉
Best
Why didn’t I show the rest of ur screen to prove it tho
Can i use this method on a ceramic glass stove? Anyone who tried this on a ceramic?
Try it on a small spot without applying too much pressure and see how it goes. If it's ceramic glass it should be fine.
@@ThoughtsforHappyMinds do you know which stoves it should not be applied to?
I think it's safe for all glass stoves all the others I don't know for sure
Try toothpaste with an old toothbrush
There are easier ways, like a proper detergent with a proper-sized brush.
Thank you 😁
