CentricSista blow drying. All the time. But now I use the instyler comb. Once my hair has been partially stretched with braids. I just press the comb on top of the hair. I don’t comb it through cuz it can straighten the hair. I press it for like five seconds and move don the strand. It is so fast! I swear. Perfectly stretched hair in to minutes. It’s awesome for emergency hair fixes. And none of the sweating associated with a blow dry.
I really appreciate how vocal you are about what works for you and what doesn't, and your reasonings for why you do and don't do certain things, in the video, but also specifically in the comment section. There's a strength in that that's wonderful!
I've watched a lot of these types of videos and always find the comments to be entertaining. It seems to me that most were more focused on your complexion and not the excellent tutorial that you provided. Thank you for showing the various ways to stretch our hair type, in one sitting. It's like one stop shopping. I would add that roller sets can also be used. P.S You truly do have beautiful skin :-)
Girl! You looked so radiant!! I'm definitely going to give the bun with moose and the yarn a try, since I can't braid my hair to save my life! Thanks so much for sharing! 💕
Love your channel! The yarn draws moisture out of your hair. It's like wearing a wool hat/scarf. The equivalent to wrapping your hair in a sweater or cotton fabric. They sell plastic threads that you can use for stretching without the moisture loss and stiffness that yarn and cotton threads will create. You can also sit under the dryer to speed drying time with no issue.
I used to do African threading but like you said it takes up to two days to dry. So now I use blow dry on warm. It lasts me a month till my next wash. Thanks for sharing
Ive been looking for stretching hair bands techiques videos for 4c hair, bc a lot of women who are on here doing it don't have 4c hair, they have 4a or 3c or something. but when I saw you, I said I KNOW she has 4c hair lol. youre video was informative and well done.:) thank you for uploading.
Thank you so much for this. I was not aware of the threading method which looked like it stretched the hair the greatest amount. I will be trying this method going forward.
Thank you for the variety of methods and concise overview! I needed some *simple* options for stretching and this was helpful that this didn't emphasize a specific product brand. I also don't like gel!
Truth Johns I don’t gel either, I’m scared of those long scientific names in the jar. I’m a new user and believer of She’s Butter. Had to do several trials and errors but I’m good now
You are so stunning! I have a really tight curl and interestly, now that you've mentioned it, I think two strand twist work better for me. Compared to braid. I'm definitely going to try the other methods! 💖
I like that yarn method. It looks cool. I would just wear my hair regularly in lots of those. Like faux dreads. Also, you have the most beautiful skin and such a cute face TT.
Your skin is just gorgeous. The glow across your cheekbones is unreal, and then when you turned around, your back and shoulders looked airbrushed. You're like ASMR for the eyes. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! You are so Beautiful! Black girl Magic is real, I love your complexion and you eyes! You got it going on! I don't try anymore to stretch my hair cause it usually doesn't work. I moment I take the style out it draws right back up.
Penny McConnell - That's what I do. Even with a satin scarf or bonnet, my 4c hair tangles and knots very easily. This is despite regular trims and daily hydration 😩
Penny McConnell ur hair length is very important in stretching. When my hair was shorter, the humidity would cause it to shrivel up. But as my hair has gotten longer, it stays stretched for a longer amount of time 💓
Genius idea to use yarn...I don't have yarn but I have some "stretchy hair" that I'll use for that purpose. Thank you much. By the way, you are stunning.
Wow thank you so very much for sharing I’m still learning on how to take care of my natural hair this video is really profitable. This is my first time in your channel and I love your channel
Your hair is so THICK and BEAUTIFUL!!! I love it! I will never understand why people with thick beautiful hair feel the need to burn their hair off and turn it into straightened, split, straw.
i luv how u look like a real life and tru African princess your facial features r gorgeous😍and luv how the light bounces off your skin....u r the essence of what black is beautiful means💯
What methods do you use to stretch your hair?
CentricSista I use mostly the threading and braids works well for me.
Blow drying and combing. It makes my hair longer
Kelly Powell I haven't heard of the comb but I'm going to look it up. Thanks for sharing! :)
Banding or chunky braids
THIS IS 4C hair! Plus love that she’s darkskin
That's not important. She's beautiful. Black gold (dark skin) or melanin dripped in honey (light skin). . Both forms of melanin rock! 😍😍
Daughter of The Most High yes it does ! Us darkskin women go through it with our skin and colorism
Daughter of The Most High it is important. Gtfo my comment you ass
Were all black tho so daughter of the most high got a point
I love that she is dark skin too
Melanin popping severely 😍😍😍❤️
bibie barbie yes she is black??

+CentricSista what cream do you use for your hair?
You are 100% beautiful and natural. Thanks for sharing, and not wearing any makeup
But please do not forget that a woman is beautiful regardless if she wears makeup or not (:
I hate myself every time I just slightly touch my hair I suddenly convince myself I need to do another hair style 😭😭
chloe same here
Your skin is SO beautiful. You’re literally glowing. I was staring at it the whole vid
I would never think to use mousse In place of gel
Natashya Mitchell-Hendrix Give it try, It works surprisingly really well. 🙂
Natashya Mitchell-Hendrix
I don’t do gels, they have too many scientific additives in the jar.
Such a luscious head of hair. What a blessing.
Your skin looks like silk. Always love and adore beautiful, healthy, smooth skin. It's a blessing!🎀

Yes, that bun looks perfect. Bravo!
You look like the ORIGINAL woman. I am sure Eve looked just like you.
And how do u know that.. 🤔
I see the effort but that's still a little weird to say
You’re an idiot.
I agree 😍😍😍😍
Rozaliya’s World no shes not if you ACTUALLY knew what she was talking about
I use bunning when my hair is long enough, banding, blowdrying and braiding. Wow Love your Skin
Your skin is absolutely stunning!!!
I love the way the light bounce off of your beautiful skin
Im sometimes amazed at just how beautiful our hair is in any form or style.
That glide with the wide tooth comb is pure satisfaction! Thank you for this video, super helpful!
Finally! Someone with my texture and not just claiming to have 4c hair! Definitely gonna try these methods
I used to do African threading but like you said it takes up to two days to dry. So now I use blow dry on warm. It lasts me a month till my next wash. Thanks for sharing
Naturalbeauty_abena Blow drying is definitely the fastest way to go. My hair benefits from it also.
That simple style is classical and it looks perfect on you!

Great tips, i thought I was the only naturalb who don't gels, thanks for mousse tip.
Truth Johns You're not alone. You're welcome :)
You can also try mixing a cream and thick oil
Truth Johns and me too. I can't stand gels at all. Never used it and never will. No aloe Vera either
@Chigozirim ᴖᴥᴖ Aloe vera is just natural gel lol
Truth Johns
I don’t gel either, I’m scared of those long scientific names in the jar. I’m a new user and believer of She’s Butter. Had to do several trials and errors but I’m good now

Lelia Young Thank you and I understand what you mean. Shrinkage is no joke.
I have the exact same problem. So I guess if you want stretched styles you'd have to stretch the hair every night??
Penny McConnell - That's what I do. Even with a satin scarf or bonnet, my 4c hair tangles and knots very easily. This is despite regular trims and daily hydration 😩
Penny McConnell ur hair length is very important in stretching. When my hair was shorter, the humidity would cause it to shrivel up. But as my hair has gotten longer, it stays stretched for a longer amount of time 💓
