On Dec. 22, 2022, Tse Chi Lop, 59, a Chinese national with Canadian citizenship, finally arrived in Australia after fighting furiously to avoid his extradition from the Netherlands. His alleged organization was called The Company, or the Sam Gor Syndicate, Cantonese for Brother Number Three, which is one of Tse’s nicknames. Their cash cow is methamphetamine and other synthetic drugs, an absolute tidal wave of them. Fentanyl wasn't his thing. You can blame the Chinese Government for allowing that to happen. It and its precursors are largely made in actual factories in China. Sam Gor's business is mostly methamphetamine and heroin. Really the war on drugs is responsible for the explosion of synthetic drugs. It was inevitable as the don't require crops to be grown. Dr Alexander Shulgin wrote a paper for the DEA predicting it in the 1970's.

I believe if the courts have evidence (and I use that term loosely) of 5 or more individuals below you in a drug ring, they can charge you with Kingpin status.
So if you happen to be a high school kid that bought an ounce of weed and sell some to your classmates. Who then sell some of that to the freshmen in nickle and dime bags. Then one of their psycho moms find it. You instantly get promoted from Wendy's Fry cook, to the "The Kingpin" of a whole drug empire.
