This is a great apartment, it seems cozy, fresh and inviting. Everything is very neutral but it works perfectly, there's no clutter or unnecessary stuff in the way. Love it!

This is the most down to earth tour ever she gave like a dozen money saving tips. Total opposite of most people trying to stunt so hard on their crib tours. Good job I learned something from your design choices and diy

Wow 700 dollar increase. I feel put out when my landlord raises the rent 20 dollars when it's time to sign the new lease. 😀 I'm from Iowa so big difference I'm sure.

Love that she’s living luxuriously, and that she can create functional but very inexpensive and also reclaimed (environmental friendly) pieces and spaces, and that basically the 2 Missoni pieces are the most costly things she possesses.

I loved the bedroom lamps the best. and they mimicked the vase in the kitchen. Goodwill is great, but you have to go with an open mind. 2600 to 3300!!!! wow, that should be illegal to do.

I live in the DC metro and I'm originally from New York. One thing is for certain, you get so much for your money in Miami. If young professionals could get an apartment like yours in NY or DC, with those finishes for $2,600/month, most would be elated. I did see in the comments section that you mentioned your rent increased by $700. That is a substantial amount, but if you ever get depressed about paying $3,300 in rent, just remember that a studio apartment rents for that amount in NYC and you aren't getting the huge balcony and year round sunshine. #StayBlessed

I like Marissa's redo of resale items and the large plaster art she made that is over her bad. The current rent seems very reasonable for the space. Too bad the rent is being increased by $700. That large of an increase would force some people to move out.

The rent for $2600.00 is normal here in California! Her place is gorgeous! For what she is getting with the amenities is golden! I love her apartment and her creativity with her designs! The patio is beautiful, too! (Tell Management that the $700.00 increase in the rent is not necessary!) Neogiate a lower price; if possible....! 😲smh

Thank you Michelle!! The mirror is the IKEA MONGSTAD mirror and the black candle sticks are also from IKEA but are a view years old. They have a similar set on their website called the BESTIGA.

Just to clarify the *difference* for anyone learning English as a second language.
Make - create or bring into existence from scratch.
Refinish or refurbish - apply a new surface.
Both can fall under the DIY category. However, the difference is extreme, the first requiring some degree of skill or know-how, the second, not so much.
