yes we can use plastic too, it just up to the our customers what kind the music they like,oslo here in Canada it is more cold then in UK thet is why the pipe should go deeper

I guess the pipe is about 5ft down for the frost? here in the uk it only needs to be 3ft.
How come you replace them with copper can't you use plastic for mains supplys
