Hi Maria! I finally got the “me” time to paint this project! They turned out very nice. The color combo is absolutely beautiful! Those DecoArt Gloss Enamel is definitely the best. Love love love them 💕
SWD, I am working on a set of glasses for my dil's Mother's Day gift so thank you so much for sharing your talent and your time. Now I wish to share a tip with you & your other viewers...wad up a sheet of white tissue paper and put inside the glass and you will be amazed at how easy it is to see where your dots are landing!! And remember...think happy dots!!
Absolutely beautiful! You're a wonderful artist! I love these paints & have used them for a long time. I do disagree with you, though on your oven & baking instructions. When my glasses are finished baking, I turn my oven off & NEVER open the oven door until the oven has totally cooled. Greatly reducing the possibility of the glass cracking due to quick exposure to cold air.

Just fabulous, Maria -- what an incredible idea! Can I use this paint on painted canvas? The sheen is so striking. And so is your talent for designing these mandalas! Wow!!
Hi Diane, yes, this is a multi--surface acrylic paint so you can use it on lots of surfaces including canvas. It does take a while longer to dry I noticed. The sheen is fabulous, very glossy. Thanks so much for watching and your kind words. This is such a great painting style.
Allow to cure 4 days. For a dishwasher-safe finish on oven-safe surfaces, place finished piece in a cool oven, set temperature to 325°F, bake for 30 minutes, then cool with oven door partially open.
Maria, I must have watched this video 3 times at least. Am always flabbergasted the way it unveils itself in the last act. Lol Just one silly question: is it possible to use enamel acrylics on a canvas without straying?
Hi Kimberley. I love the DecoArt Americana paint consistency. I used the Gloss Enamel paint for this project. It's a good consistency. It doesn't run but the center of the dot can "droop" So as I am painting and while the paint is drying, I turn it upside down from the resting on the base of the glass to resting on the rim of the glass (I hope that makes sense). I only have to do that a couple of times until the paint sets up a bit. I don't add any mediums as I would on a Christmas ornament (add gel medium to thicken the paint) because I am going to cure it and then bake it so I don't want additives. Hope that helps. THanks for watching.

Thank you so much for getting back to me . I am gonna try and see if anything it will be great but if not I am only losing a dollar and my time. Thank you again. ❤❤
@@SweetWillowDsgnHello, I wanted to let you know I did try it with nail polish, I think they turned out really pretty. I wouldn't say they are dishwasher safe but hand wash I think they will be fine. The dots dried nice and even with no running. I did, however, use really good nail polish. I made sure the glass was very clean when I started and I wore gloves so I didn't get any fingerprints or oils on the glass while painting. Thank you again so much for your awesome Idea, I too used my crochet hooks, paintbrush ends, a bobby pin and a pencil eraser, to make the dots.:-)
I just bought DecoArt multi purpose paints because they can be ‘fired’ in the oven so are dishwasher safe. Some colors are very thick. Do you know what I might add to make them more liquid without compromising the permanence?
Hi Karen. I would add the tiniest bit of water or pouring medium. Usually not more than 25%, however, with these paints I would stay well below that number. When I say tiniest bit, I use a toothpick and add a small drop at a time, mix and test consistency. Hope that you are well!
Hi Jackie. I think if you didn't want to make it dishwasher safe you probably could use a blow dryer. I didn't try drying it with a dryer. In between the layers of dots I waited several hours, sometimes overnight, before I added the top dots. The instructions say to wait a full 4 days to dry and then bake per instructions to make the glass dishwasher safe. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching Jackie.
Hallo Maria , I am using from KREUL Glass & Porcelain colors for glasses. I am really struggling with because they are very runny and also the dots running in each other 😢 With what can I make them a bit thicker? These colors dry clearly. Do I have to put the ready glass in the oven or it is enough to let them dry just normal ?
Hi Judit. It really depends on the type of paint you are using and the washing of the glass. I'm not familiar with KREUL paint. I use DecoArt Americana Gloss Enamel or Multi-surface. Dry it for 4 days and then bake. Generally, I use a gel medium to thicken paint but what I don't know is if that affects long term adhesion to the glass. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Ok Maria , thank you for your quick answer . The problem is that those paints are not available in Germany or if yes is too expensive and plus shipping.
Look for a good multi-surface paint in your area. Those usually work. Also contact KREUL and ask them. Companies are usually good about responding. I’ve had good luck with that.
Love, Love, LOVE! This is BEAUtiful! IJust bought the tools on Amazon, can't wait to try this! You are so informative and creative! How much do you normally charge for your work, if people want to buy?

Hi. Glad you enjoyed this glass painting. I used DecoArt Gloss Enamel paint. It was the perfect consistency so I didn't need to add anything to it. It can be cured in the oven to make it dishwasher safe.
I made some of these and the top dots kind of curdled after baking. I am not sure why. Mostly on the shimmering silver decoart gloss paint. Any ideas why?? I can't attach a picture. I will post on your FB page :)
@@SweetWillowDsgn They sat for 4 days before hand but I think that I put the top dots on before the bottom layer was dried. I think I will just let them air cure for a month. I heard 21 days and then you can hand wash them. I hope so because I made a bunch for Christmas gifts.

Stunning artwork 😍👌 . You’re a very talented artist. I enjoyed watching your videos and found a lot of great ideas ❤️
Thank you Gitka. Love your work as well. 💚
Thank you ❤️
Can you use a blow dryer to dry it faster?
This is a beautiful project. Thanks for sharing:)
This is sooooooooooooooo beautiful!!! 😍😍😍
Thank you Anita. I love this glass. Thanks for watching.
Meraviglioso!!!!!!
Grazie. Sono contento che ti sia piaciuto questo video. Questi colori sono alcuni dei miei preferiti. Grazie per la visione!
Sweet Willow Designs good idea thank you 😊

This is BEAUtiful! IJust bought the tools on Amazon, can't wait to try this! You are so informative and creative!
How much do you normally charge for your work, if people want to buy?
Hi Lily. I'm so glad you enjoyed this project and have tools on the way! Thanks for inquiring about selling my work. At this time I generally make the projects for personal use or gifts. I have an online shop with stencils and patterns if you're interested in those. Here's the link: www.etsy.com/shop/SweetWillowDesigns
Thank you!
Lovely work ..i am still new in dot art. .i wanted to ask ...do i fix the consisteny of the acrylic paint with water or can i use a medium. .like glue
Hi. Glad you enjoyed this glass painting. I used DecoArt Gloss Enamel paint. It was the perfect consistency so I didn't need to add anything to it. It can be cured in the oven to make it dishwasher safe.
Olá . Oque vc faz para fixar a tinta no vidro ☺️
thank you, so beautiful.
Thank you! This was a pleasure to paint. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.

This wine glass turn normal wine into magical lift-me-up potion :)
Beautiful
Thank you Roberta. This paint worked so well I just love it. Thanks for watching.
I made some of these and the top dots kind of curdled after baking. I am not sure why. Mostly on the shimmering silver decoart gloss paint. Any ideas why?? I can't attach a picture. I will post on your FB page :)
Hmmmm. I use Decoart and have seen that when I didn’t let the paint dry long enough. Might let it dry longer. Just a guess.
@@SweetWillowDsgn They sat for 4 days before hand but I think that I put the top dots on before the bottom layer was dried.
I think I will just let them air cure for a month. I heard 21 days and then you can hand wash them.
I hope so because I made a bunch for Christmas gifts.
