SWD, I am working on a set of glasses for my dil's Mother's Day gift so thank you so much for sharing your talent and your time. Now I wish to share a tip with you & your other viewers...wad up a sheet of white tissue paper and put inside the glass and you will be amazed at how easy it is to see where your dots are landing!! And remember...think happy dots!!
Hi Maria! I finally got the “me” time to paint this project! They turned out very nice. The color combo is absolutely beautiful! Those DecoArt Gloss Enamel is definitely the best. Love love love them 💕
This wine glass is absolutely beautiful! You did such an amazing job! I have eight dollar tree wine glasses tucked away in my craft room with this in mind. Thank you for sharing 🍷
@@SweetWillowDsgn I think so. I have been learning dotting on glass ornaments and wooden trains. The wooden trains are super cute! Not too many dots, but just enough to give them character.
Oh my goodness! This is beautiful! Everything you do is so amazing! I feel really blessed to have you as my teacher! Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
Judy, thanks so much for watching! I loved how this turned out and am doing another set for my anniversary champagne glasses. These do make great gifts or to commemorate a special occasion. Hope you try it out! Thanks again for watching.
Absolutely beautiful! You're a wonderful artist! I love these paints & have used them for a long time. I do disagree with you, though on your oven & baking instructions. When my glasses are finished baking, I turn my oven off & NEVER open the oven door until the oven has totally cooled. Greatly reducing the possibility of the glass cracking due to quick exposure to cold air.
No house cleaning. My sentiments exactly. LOL I'm kind of hooked on these now. More to come. Would love to see what you come up with. I think you'll be really pleased. Thanks so much for watching Margareth.
This is beautiful. I just started painting wine glasses and this is now going to be one I am going to try. Thank you for your narration as to what you are doing because it makes so much more scene.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful 😍 this is what I was saying during watching, absolutely love everything about this video, how you made something that beautiful using a very simple technique, your calming voice and informative tips ❤️ thank you for a very useful lesson 😘😘
Hi Maria.. In love with your work and ideas. Could you please share do you seal the colors with varnish or anything once everything is completed and paints are fully dry. Thanks for responding 💟💟💟
Thank you so much! This glass is so amazing. Looking down into the glass and seeing the Mandala is so special. I'm glad you liked this project. Thanks for watching!
Wow. This is amazing. I just started dotting and I am trying my hand at dotting on a glass votive candle holder. Hope it turns out ok. Thanks for the video.
Gorgeous! I have to try this. I’ve been wanting to try this painting technique and I’ve seen it done on smooth river rocks but not on glass before. Thanks for sharing!

Could you do a video walking us through the oven process? Do you place them on a cookie sheet? Do you just set them on the oven rack? How long does it take? Etc..
Maria, I must have watched this video 3 times at least. Am always flabbergasted the way it unveils itself in the last act. Lol Just one silly question: is it possible to use enamel acrylics on a canvas without straying?
How lovely, just wondering if the deco art is dishwasser safe. If not i would have to tell the person i give it to, not to put it in there. Or go look for paint that is😀
Just fabulous, Maria -- what an incredible idea! Can I use this paint on painted canvas? The sheen is so striking. And so is your talent for designing these mandalas! Wow!!
Hi Diane, yes, this is a multi--surface acrylic paint so you can use it on lots of surfaces including canvas. It does take a while longer to dry I noticed. The sheen is fabulous, very glossy. Thanks so much for watching and your kind words. This is such a great painting style.
HI Kellie, try again on FB. I just changed the settings. It won't appear right away but I'll be able to approve your post. Can't wait to see what you created!

Hi, thanks for watching and glad you liked this project. No real preparation for the glass. Just use alcohol to wipe it clean before you paint on it. Thanks again for watching.
I love watching your videos. I've been slowly trying to learn and I think my block comes any time I try to decide on a design. A "pattern"? As I watch so many of the tutorials...it seems like they flow like water from the hands onto the glass, without pausing at all to figure a design, or layout, or similar...?
Hi Maria! What an incredible job! Could you recommend me some ways to protect the painting? So as to avoid the removal of the painting while I clean it with water and detergent. Kisses from Argentina!
Hi Florencia. The paints I'm using, DecoArt Gloss Enamel, which you allow to cure 4 days. For a dishwasher-safe finish on oven-safe surfaces, place finished piece in a cool oven, set temperature to 325°F, bake for 30 minutes, then cool with oven door partially open. If you can't find these paints, look for glass enamel paint that you use and make it washable. Thanks so much for watching!
I just bought DecoArt multi purpose paints because they can be ‘fired’ in the oven so are dishwasher safe. Some colors are very thick. Do you know what I might add to make them more liquid without compromising the permanence?

Hi Jackie. I think if you didn't want to make it dishwasher safe you probably could use a blow dryer. I didn't try drying it with a dryer. In between the layers of dots I waited several hours, sometimes overnight, before I added the top dots. The instructions say to wait a full 4 days to dry and then bake per instructions to make the glass dishwasher safe. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching Jackie.
Thank you Linda, I'm glad you enjoyed this project. To make it dishwasher safe, allow to cure 4 days. Hi Kimberley. I love the DecoArt Americana paint consistency. I used the Gloss Enamel paint for this project. It's a good consistency. It doesn't run but the center of the dot can "droop" So as I am painting and while the paint is drying, I turn it upside down from the resting on the base of the glass to resting on the rim of the glass (I hope that makes sense). I only have to do that a couple of times until the paint sets up a bit. I don't add any mediums as I would on a Christmas ornament (add gel medium to thicken the paint) because I am going to cure it and then bake it so I don't want additives. Hope that helps. THanks for watching.

Beautiful painting! It looks incredible from inside! Do you use a varnish after painting on the glass?
HI Michelle. No varnish. This is an acrylic gloss enamel paint that is baked in the oven to make it top rack dishwasher safe.
@@SweetWillowDsgn thank you so much! That is very helpful as I'm painting on glass and i didn't know about this paint!!

Hi Karen. I would add the tiniest bit of water or pouring medium. Usually not more than 25%, however, with these paints I would stay well below that number. When I say tiniest bit, I use a toothpick and add a small drop at a time, mix and test consistency. Hope that you are well!

The instructions say to wait a full 4 days to dry and then bake per instructions to make the glass dishwasher safe. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching Jackie.
Is it necessary to prime the glass right before start doing dots? I have seen many clips so far; yet you are the only one who do not prime the glass.
How do you seal it? Protect in from damage during use??? Beautiful idea!
Thank you Linda, I'm glad you enjoyed this project. To make it dishwasher safe, allow to cure 4 days.
