I've been a fan since I first heard Hush back when it first came on the radio. I saw DP 3 or 4 times in the 70s. First drawn to the keys. Then noticed Blackmore. What an amazing core. In the last 5 years I've been listening more to Glover. He always maintained a solid foundation. Lately I have been concentrating on the drums. Ian Paice is remarkable. He is incredibly fast while remaining very musical. I am just blown away by the talent in this band. I am indeed fortunate to have been here to see them live. The show was never less than what I expected.
A guitar solo, back in 1969, that came from a place no-one dared to go. Not Hendrix, not Alvin lee, Not Jimmy Page. Only Blackmore went there and he brought back magic, didn't he. Gillan's voice was alreadsy shot here; he couldn't sing the high notes any longer. I've seen him doing it before. I've watched and heard him. It was magical, back in the day. I somehow think Ian Gillan is great here. Sure he has sounded better but there is something with him not exactly hitting those high notes and resorting to power and brute force that makes it insanely emotional, he is pouring his soul out into the microphone.

Sharing this Video & sound in 2023 as we need this SOOOOOOO Much !!!!!!
Thanks Ian Gillan! You sacrificed your voice to offer us such great moments, without thinking of yourself! Ritchie could change his guitar chords, but you your vocal chords not! I still listen to it and can‘t find something replace your performances!
actually was kind of dumb how he fucked up his voice, when he was with sabbath his doctor told him to go to surgery before touring, and he went anyway on tour for almost two years...
@@graveyardclassics True, although I doubt he would have been able to keep his 20 year old vocal range until this point when hes 48
@@skibee yes but i bet he would be a lot better now
How beautiful words!!!!!! I hope Gillan sees that comment!!!!!

Blackmore cant play like Clapton and Clapton cant play like Blackmore
Jon Lord R.I.P
Ritchie Blackmore never had a need for these fancy Custom Shop guitars
Ian Gillan is complete beauty. A beautiful face and a beautiful tongue singing DP's most beautiful song, with his beautiful soul shining through.
One of the best times they played together. This shows how great they really were.
Последние выступления полным составом. Шедевры и просто чудо. Цепляет по полной. Царство небесное Лорду.

@@kanatdos5866 причем тут это ?
Это великое безумие, что парни разошлись. А может перст судбы. Нам не дано знать.
This song and Perfect Strangers are my favorite songs by this group. I can never hear them too much.
Mike S hello🙌yes, i LOVE « Perfect Strangers and Knocking on the back door » so great songs, bye👍
Same same same
Обожаю, это навсегда а моем сердце уже 40 лет !! Молодцы ! Супер !
AT 6:33 When Ritchie bends the string and parallelly Jon Lord plays a downward smear on the Hammond organs. That combination is electrifying.
