im a total beginner at chess and know only the rules and zero strategies. you cant imagine how happy i was when i figured out the mate in 3 at the end!!!
@@jaybartgis5148 I imagine because the bishop will take the knight on F6. Black is forced to take with the G pawn, as taking with the queen removes the guard of the B pawn and loses the rook. Taking with the pawn damages black's structure and walls the king in with doubled pawns - not desirable.
this is an innovation in the field of ASMR. lots of asmr is kind of same (and there’s nothing wrong with that necessarily). but this is really unique. this is a special combo.
I am in love with your more recent style of videos. They have such great quality, with an overwhelming coziness and sense of peace. Very excited to relax to this...
It’s a good thing I don’t have to pick my favorite part of this, because between the soft speaking, the storytelling, the chess sounds, pointing, or editing I really can’t 💆🏻♀️😍
This is sooo nice, can be listened to by peolpe who just enjoy asmr and want to tingle, people who want to learn some chess or are just interested in the game and also people who just want to relax or fall asleep. Or, of course, people like me, who enjoy all three. Wonderful! Please do more of these!
I really like the way you use storytelling to set the stage before the game. Then you use a combination of storytelling and chess analysis to guide us through the game. Without fail, by the games' end, I am always relaxed and intrigued. Thank you for consistently providing high quality content.
This is a very good video. The background story and setup and the analysis of tge noves, with facts about hoe otgers analysed it in the future all makes fir a wonderfully rekaxing but imformative stiry. And your nix of whispering abd soft voice makes it feel so personal and intimate. Thank you.
I've played chess for almost 15 years on and off. I've seen this particular game broken down by at least 5-10 different commentators. Never once did I notice that there were only 3 pawn moves in this game. What an incredible job you've done with this!!!
I love the video and your videos in general they are always sooo awesome and I am always Happy when you upload and can't wait for the next video to be released One question: Would you mind considering a remastered version of the immortal game between Anderssen and Kiezeritzky? I loved the narrative of the black squared bishop pov.. I find myself coming back to the video from time to time cause it's such an awesome game and story that was told there (it's just a question if you don't wanna do it then I would understand it)
Awesome video, I really enjoyed the style you did this in! Quick random question, I noticed when you held up your fingers for 6 moves left you used your thumb for the sixth digit. Is that the common first finger for counting in Denmark?
10:11 I have a question if anyone can help me answer, I'm am amateur at chess (Rating 630) and I was wondering that whenever I play with Whites bishop on g6 to pin the knight to the queen, my opponent usually responds with pawn to h 6 to immediately threaten it, I move bishop to h4 to keep the pin and then they play pawn to g5. So I whenever I play this move I always find myself retreating my bishop. I see people do this very often but in professional play it doesn't happen very much. Is it bad for black to be throwing their pawns at my bishop like that?
It all depends on the position. It is most common to castle kingside and the pawns on f7, g7 and h7 make up the walls of the castle (see my video "everything you need to know about castling" to learn more about this). When they chase your bishop around by attacking it with the g- and h-pawns they are compromising the integrity of their defensive structure. In other words they are leaving holes in the walls of their castle and that can be a serious weakness that you can later exploit. Other times the tempi they gain by advancing their pawns can help them launch an attack on your king so there is no quick or easy answer. It all depends on the position.
@ASMRChess Feels weird to come back here after so long. When I first commented I was rated 630. As of rn I'm proud to say I'm rated 1760, been close to 1800 a couple times. Still love watching your videos. Don't know if you'll even see this but your videos have helped me a lot. Just wanted to say thank you and in another couple years I hope I can come back here maybe with a 2500+ rating hopefully :)
Man really dropped into Europe, dropped some banger matches, snatched some royal pantaloons and then left The sigma grind has existed long before we ever knew of it
I just don't understand why one would play the Philidor defence. It blocks one of the bishops from developing. It keeps everything congested. Why is it considered a book move?
It was the record of their games. Chess games are scores 1-0 for wins, 0-1 for losses, and 0.5-0.5 for draws. So in the match against Anderssen, Morphy won 8-3. This means over the course of 11 games, Morphy won 8 and Anderssen won 3, or alternatively, Morphy won 5, and 6 games drew, or a number of other combinations. What matters is that these are all quite convincing wins, even against the other top players of the time, Morphy was unmatched
Thank you :) my chess.com rating is inaccurate because I mostly play my patrons and use the site for analysis for videos. A GM once told me he estimated my play OTB to be about 2000 FIDE.
amazing, the storytelling before the game is perfect to get our full attention, thank u so much for this video i love this serie :)
Glad you enjoy it!

A real chessboard is really important for me. I don’t know why
because real chessboards are beautiful and gives a sense of the history and depth of chess.

U messed up u should have said queen to b8 instead of qb7 right?
Was he the first to sac his queen to win?
No. The earliest example I know of is Gioachino Greco vs NN, 1623. Play through it here:
