About Godzilla vs. Kong:
From Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures comes the long-awaited face-off between two icons in the epic adventure “Godzilla vs. Kong,” directed by Adam Wingard. Legends collide in “Godzilla vs. Kong” as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. MonsterVerse King Ghidorah is easily the best kaiju brought to life, and making him an intergalactic megalomaniac who lives only to terraform worlds to his own standards is the coolest thing they could have done with the character. Kudos to Mike Dougherty
Even tho kotm wasn’t a masterpiece it was a decent fan letter nonetheless. I loved what they did with Ghidorah.
Monsterverse and Legendary has ruined Godzilla. I pray they leave him out of it.

@@Nightlizard1564 it's how his "character" is written. Being a Godzilla fan since the 60s, whoever the writers are simply don't get it. 2014 was terribly filmed. It was dark, raining all the time and hard to see much detail. Then there is the fact that Godzilla got lucky defeating the Mutos. KOTM wasn't bad but still Godzilla had to rely on the luck and help to defeat KG. THIS WAS DUMB. Godzilla should not have to have help to prove he is KOTM. Godzilla vs Kong was trash. The CGI was like a video game, but hey, if you want to just see a bunch of monsters fighting.... also the idea that "one will fall" was a blatant lie. After the first 15-20 minutes it was all down hill from there. Godzilla pins Kong to the ground and then gets his a** handed to him by Mechagodzilla where Kong demolishes Mechagodzilla. Nonsense. And his atomic breath was laughable. Probably the best written and best portrayal of Godzilla was 2000 and Megaguirus. His atomic breath has never looked better, no pencil thin beam here. Both films depicted his strength AND intelligence and his look was perfect. When you can survive TWO black holes AND defeat your enemy and do it all by yourself you deserve the title of KING OF THE MONSTERS. I'm sure you will disagree with me, but there in a nutshell is why I don't think the last three movies were worthy of Godzilla. In my opinion, Skull Island was better than the next 3.

Killing Bryan Cranston's character in Godzilla 2014 is a huge mistake. He should stay longer more.
I would say he acted really well in the movie.
Tbh Ken Watanabe, Bryan Cranston, and Samuel L Jackson are the one's who gave realistic acting in the whole era.

I am very happy that Michael Doherty got to direct a Gojira movie. I believed in him once he said in an interview that he watched Godzilla movies when he was a kid. I think he brought AMAZING personality to Monster Zero/ King Ghidorah/ Astro Monster. Great work!

2014 is by far the best Monsterverse movie imo. The weight of the monsters were felt and were special to see. Even the acting from certain character was the best imo. The perfect example of *Less is More.*

The effects of those fights were felt. We got to see the true damage they caused to people's lives, hence making the monster fights and movie overall more serious in the process.

You're right, Kong: Skull Island was my favorite... but in retrospect the 2014 film doesn't even fit into the so-called "MonsterVerse", it was more grounded in reality, and the announcement of Kong in 2015 had the studio do a 180... would've loved to see Gareths original vision for KotM

@@alienspear8706 definitely up until Godzillas reveal in Hawaii, the film was legit! The second half left some to be desired, a big part I think was the acting, as the first 45 minutes or so we had Bryan Cranston drawing us in with his personal guilt. But overall I was pleased with it, I feel even the lack of screen time for Godzilla wasn't all that bad as it dealt with the reality of if a 350ft amphibious behemoth existed or not, sort of why I like Man of Steel and BvS Dawn of Justice, its exactly how the world at large would react to an otherworldly metahuman amongst us

Kong was more foe's in Monsterverse films. Giant Octopus and Skullcrawler in Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla, Warbat and Mechagodzilla in Godzilla vs. Kong.
I like what they say on the godzilla vs Kong fight. Godzilla does over power him which may look like this is a mis match but Kong's intelligence and abilities to use technology makes it an even fight.

I find it odd how they didn’t once mention mecha godzilla having ghidorahs consciousness despite that clearly being the case. Maybe they aren’t saying anything so they can keep a possible return in the future quiet.
They were just avoiding major spoilers. As you can see they never once showed the outcome of the fights from any movie.

Well many villains in the monsterverse are just animals who serve the alpha and fight when provoked. But mechagodzilla and ghidorah (they are basically the same) are psychopaths, the true joker to godzilla's batman

Think Doomsday from BvS - him and MechaG only have vague, incoherent memories of their past lives (Zod & Ghidorah). Their hatred of Superman/Godzilla is more emotional.

King Ghidorah is literally the *BEST* villain in the Monsterverse so far, and also my absolute favourite. It's also really funny to know that despite being massive, scary and all that, his three heads have their very own respective personalities. You know ? Ichi being the one who's in-charge and is always serious with his work, Ni being the most aggressive and I suppose short tempered, and San (Kevin) being just..... curious and not exactly paying attention to the particular work being done, basically he radiates the, "I'm just glad to be here" energy 24/7. But don't be fooled, just because he's curious all that, doesn't mean that he's deadly. I personally love Ichi more, his behaviour's perfect, love how he's serious when fighting with Godzilla, and always makes sure to keep Ni and San (Kevin) in check.

Burning/Fire Godzilla wants a word I'd say as result of him turning into Burning Godzilla is why his Atomic Breath is Stronger and in General made him more powerful in Godzilla vs Kong except the Thermo nuclear pulse move is definitely a one time use thing or Godzilla didn't see the need for it because he wanted to try to make Kong Give up, yield/Submit to his rule (Godzilla's)

@@MaguireMemes Because the MonsterVerse is a travesty. It made Godzilla pro-nuclear and he’s not supposed to be. The fan service is superficial, the writing is dreadful, the fans are brain dead, and it doesn’t need to exist or continue.
Interestingly, in many of Godzilla's adventures, the monster is the hero of the film, defending Japan from enemies who want to destroy it and seldom seen as an enemy to all humanity and life on earth.
I love how legendary, and WB perfectly respect the Toho old movies. It is easy to see that the people that are working on this are old time lovers of kaiju. I would love if Disney treated Star Wars with the respect you are treating this Monsterverse saga.

If the Monsterverse is to continue, I think we can all agree that we want more intriguing and great human characters like Joe Brody, Dr Serizawa, Colonel Packard, Hank Marlow, Mark Russell and Jia, along with new, interesting and timeless stories and awesome, awe-inspiring kaiju moments.
Also, I agree with the Omni Viewer when he says that he doesn't want this series to go on for too long and overstay its welcome, but just long enough and end in a truly satisfying way.

Let's remember as a True Godzilla fan of the classic Japanese movies and Toho Movies and Fans of Godzilla Unleashed game there are more Classic Villains besides MechaGodzilla , King Ghidorah , Rodan and the Mutos like SpaceGodzilla , Destroyah , Orga , Obsidious , Megaguirus and counting as a True Godzilla fan who have seen the Original 1954 Gojira Film and also Godzilla Unleashed game
But as a fan, you should know that a lot of them are boring and forgetful. If hothouse Kaijus don’t consistently show themselves in films or made a huge impact they are forgettable. Even my favorite Kaiju of the series (King Caesar) is among the names of forgettable Kaiju.
