It's introduction of how horrific it is for Godzilla to be walking around in cities full of humans. I love all of these movies from beginning to end equally, but one problem I have with Godzilla 2014 is the color grading. It's way too freaking dark to see anything you have to watch the film at night and in complete darkness just to see Godzilla. It's the same problem I had with the Harry Potter movies because the color grading kept getting darker and more muted to the point where you had to watch the films at night, but overall still a great film.
Personally I’d have to say -King is the Monsters - exactly what I want in a Godzilla movie -Godzilla 2014 - the humans are actually good in this one Kong Skull Island - pretty much on par with Godzilla 2014, but I am personally more a Godzilla fan -Kong v Godzilla - the humans were even dumber than they were in KotM and there weren’t enough monster fights I love all these movies btw

honestly the rodan awakening scene really did for KotM. it was absolutely beautiful and personally the way he destroyed everything just by flying was beautiful. and then there was godzilla yanking ghidora outta the sky and into the water that was beautiful. and finally burning godzilla looked absolutely amazing. and then the way he stepped on a crushed ghidoras chest before that final blast of energy was 10/10.

My ratings are Godzilla(2014): 7/10, despite the glaring issue of not enough monsters it was really well made and I find it somewhat enjoyable KSI: 8/10, this movie was amazing! I feel like they really tried to improve from the criticisms of 2014, even when Kong wasn’t on screen there was a good amount of action and other monsters to keep it entertaining GKM: 9/10, I adore this movie, it has a wonderful amount of monster action and the human characters are at least tolerable so I don’t mind having them on screen, plus there’s thermo goji and that was cool af GvK: 3/10, the only thing that kept me mildly entertained was the humor and the action. This entire movie was so obviously made to tide over fans of both titans. The lack of consistency pisses me off and the loss of rationality from some of the characters was insane.

Forgive me Kong fans, but I am so sick of them adding Kong in Godzilla movies. Godzilla was its own series at first, and now they keep throwing the two of them in. Plus with the new movie coming out, it seems as if it is much more Kong focused and Godzilla is being phased out. I want more Godzilla original monsters brought into the MonsterVerse, he has so many iconic enemies such as Destoroyah and Gigan to show. Kong should go back to its own storyline with Godzilla having his own. Please.

@@XXXmarquiseno. This ain’t Godzilla verse it’s monster verse they are both the hero’s but king is more relatable. He is kind and not distructive. Since he is a monkey it’s easy for him to be more likeable for people coz they have human like feelings. Godzilla is my favorite monster but I ain’t gonna bitch about kong being the MC

KotM takes the number one spot for me, precisely because it features the all-star cast of Kaiju from Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster. It’s a rematch of epic proportions worthy of these legendary combatants!
For me King of Monster is 10/10 . A perfect dystopian setting for these monsters and villain strong as hell . And yeah we saw Godzilla at his prime we might never see again at .

For me Godzilla 2014 was the best monster verse movie I just loved the mystery of it and the mutos were amazing but GXK is for sure a close second
honestly the rodan awakening scene really did for KotM. it was absolutely beautiful and personally the way he destroyed everything just by flying was beautiful. and then there was godzilla yanking ghidora outta the sky and into the water that was beautiful. and finally burning godzilla looked absolutely amazing. and then the way he stepped on a crushed ghidoras chest before that final blast of energy was 10/10.

Godzilla 2014 is tbh the best one. Even tho his screentime is not that good i always felt that he is right beside the main characters. He might not be seen, but his presence is big. It was also the most realistic one
2014 godzilla was a 9/10, they never made godzilla look very enormous than this one.

Godzilla(2014): 7/10, despite the glaring issue of not enough monsters it was really well made and I find it somewhat enjoyable
KSI: 8/10, this movie was amazing! I feel like they really tried to improve from the criticisms of 2014, even when Kong wasn’t on screen there was a good amount of action and other monsters to keep it entertaining
GKM: 9/10, I adore this movie, it has a wonderful amount of monster action and the human characters are at least tolerable so I don’t mind having them on screen, plus there’s thermo goji and that was cool af
GvK: 3/10, the only thing that kept me mildly entertained was the humor and the action. This entire movie was so obviously made to tide over fans of both titans. The lack of consistency pisses me off and the loss of rationality from some of the characters was insane.
The jump out of the plane scene in Godzilla 2014 and Godzillas scene by the flares was badass in my opinion

I just rewatched all 4 movies for GxK and I love them all but man Kong Skull Island was way better than I remember. That whole film is awesome.

im so torn bc im glad mechagodzilla was the villain of gvk but i wish he got more screentime. The movie was more about godzilla and kong fighting though so i understand why, I just wish we couldve seen more from such a monumental creature

G-KOTM is my favourite movie of all time and it inspired me into watching the classing Godzilla films and the rest of the monster verse
Kong skull island was one of the first few I saw and I’m ngl I was younger then so the skull crawler scene in the forest when that one guy died scared tf outta me 😂 the creature design was so good

2014 starts like any old godzilla toho film being long and you don't see him very much
I would love for in the next movie there is a flash back in the hallow earth when all these monsters lived there and fought eachother, i think its best they all go back to the hallow earth now where they belong and see how they live amongst eachother there

I like your countdown of the top of the movies in the monster verse but the only thing I would switch is Skull Island 10 out of 10 for me and Godzilla vs Kong afterwards 8 out of 10
Bro godzilla kotm was amazing. That dragon mfer with the three heads was so on point even godzilla couldn't beat him alone and omg the symbolism and the cgi was mindblowing and don't forget they found the decapitated head godzilla chewed off they were teasing something easy10/10 also it had the four most iconic monsters the fire bird the big moth thunder alien thingy and godzilla
