This was interesting. I hadnt read the Ln but tbh, like at the end like ep 11-12 of the anime, I started to really want to know what happens later. So I watched alot of ln summaries on yt. Anime is near-always my "gateway drug" into the various sources or source summaries. At the very least, a studio change for the fourth season is imperative.For those intrigued by Classroom of the Elite,I implore you to delve into the light novel the true essence of the narrative eschewing the deleterious anime adaptation altogether. an hour is crazy, started listing to novels on Spotify they have way more material anime butchered a lot of the source material.

This was interesting in knowing every difference. I like the anime, as a former "anime-only", but some of the changes sound pretty not great or downright bad, like the bench hirata moment changes, lol...completely makes Ayanokoji seem incapable of emotion & not alot of striving to gain it, as its his 1 con among so many pros😅
Ig the best way to describe anime Ayanokoji is being alot shallower & edgy than source. It makes him vastly different. Also....the "25 students", idek how that'll ever be fixed. ~15 less in each is sorta wild...lol
It comes as no surprise that Lerche/Kadokawa has thoroughly marred each season, offering a scant 12-13 episodes per installment a paltry sum for a light novel adaptation.The anime's egregious alterations to Koji's persona, coupled with its abysmal pacing, subpar animation, and the inclusion of outsourced episodes, render these three seasons, with the first season being passable at best, utterly unfaithful to the source material. Classroom of the Elite stands as one of the foremost light novels globally, making the existence of hentai productions boasting superior animation a lamentable reality.I earnestly yearn for a complete overhaul of Classroom of the Elite, should a full remake prove infeasible.

Can’t say more from this comment. If they had the resources and effort of maybe 20% of the frieren anime cote would still be a much better spot than these seasons we got. But the thing is even if I’m not expressing my personal biased opinion as a cote LN reader objectively the LN series until now still is one of the top selling novels in Japan and that’s why cote deserved much better quality than this.

Anime's main purpose is to promote the Light novel or Manga. So only glimpses are shown in the anime, whereas Full content is available in the source material.
Yes, I agree akkisaroo24 but that doesn't mean that they didn't have to stick to the source material, they could've still stuck to it, I'm honestly so upset at season 3, I thought they would have learnt their lesson from the previous 2 seasons but I would like it if they made a remake rather going to season 4
Yeah It’s funny how the anime portrays ayanokoji as cold and emotionless. Like that scene at the end of season one where he’s all like, “ I don’t care about anything other than winning, I’ll do whatever it takes” like that is totally untrue. He does not care that much and his motivations are just that straight forward idk why they would make him like that in the anime.
How are you gonna complain about THE one scene that got mostly everyone hyped on the anime in the first place lmao.

I think the reason they made season 3 bad is because they wanted to rush to second year as it is the best part of the book

I don’t really care about the animation as long as it’s watchable, what I want to see is the whole series not being rushed into 13 episode seasons for over a thousand pages of writing and skipping loads of content
Yeah i agree, me personally i didn't think the animation was bad or good, i still liked it. Even without reading the LN however i could just feel that something was off in the 2nd and 3rd season of the anime. The anime was good imo however just looking at the surface of the contents of the LN makes me realize just how much of the source material has been altered and or completely changed and cut out
I'm definitely not looking forward to season 4, especially if they only have 13 episodes to work with 4 or 5 volumes.

Honestly, while they skipped many details and most exams feels rushed, the adaptation did fine in the sense that reading starting from year 2 would not leave you confused. As long as you know that zodiac exam = planet exam you'd be fine. You get a lot more details but reading 14 volumes must be dreadful if you already know the plot points and they don't change.

I’m going to be honest, volume 8 was arguably the worst volume in year 1. It was very boring and while I do agree that some scenes in volume 8 should’ve been there this wasn’t a terrible change to me. Not only that the “T. rex scene” is just terrible it didn’t need to be there at all idky u see so many people upset it wasn’t there….
