Thanks for this video, I was having issues with the 72 fader, lubed worked a bit and backing out the set screw but after trying my Z2 with Innofader, I knew there was another way. Good to hear this is drop in vs having to hack around the mixer board.
Thank you for this tutorial! I was getting stressed and overwhelmed by another tutorial that left out a lot of steps and details. Yours had more information and cleared up some questions I had. The Innofader is installed properly in my Rane 70 and such an improvement over the stock fader.
@@djcaliente The last Vestax I used was ancient, so I can't really speak to that. I have a Pioneer DJM-S11 and I love the Magvel Fader Pro on that - it's quiet and quick. The Innofader on the Rane 70 has much louder clicks but aside from that the performance is nice.

I just ordered an innofader for my Seventy-Two MKII and I'm excited to get that nostalgia from the clicks on the crossfade. Reminds me of when I use to own a Vestax
Thank you so much for this video! The instructions that came in the box are pretty confusing -- it would have taken me hours to install my Pnp2 in my Rane 70 without your help. Just a heads up that the calibration instructions you gave are slightly different than the manual and label on the fader -- those say to pull the fader left, right, then left again. Also wanted to say I ended up reusing the screws that held in the MagFour when installing the Innofader, and they seem to work just fine.
I bought this crossfader for my Rane 72, tested it for a month, set it up every way possible, and honestly I was not satisfied. My biggest problem with the original 72 cross fader was the cut in which was way too big and indeed the pnp 2 solved this problem. On the other hand, I don't like the feeling at all, despite the possible adjustment of the tension that I set to the minimum, the pnp 2 seems to me much too heavy (worse than the mag 3), I didn't hear any click effect when I scratched (more like a plastic noise) and some of the cuts weren't audible at certain times. I finally reinstalled the mag 3, adjusted the tension screw so that the cross fader falls off by itself when the table is tilted and added a small rubber ring on each side of the cross fader slide bar to have a shorter cut in and frankly it's waaaaay much better now... This is only my personal experience and I may have had a faulty pnp 2. In any case do not put all your hopes in this crossfader. Innofaders are good products, but this one felt wrong on the 72… Thank you for this video by the way, it really helped me
FYI, i just watched a Rane video which shows the rubber o-rings being part of the factory assembly. They are there to dampen the fader click and to create a buffer zone.
i bought three innofaders PNP's...is installation of the upfaders the same minus the bracket and im assuming its possible to have all 3 installed simultaneously too correct??? No known conflicts right? thank you for taking the time to make the video and for making it pretty simple to follow for a guy like me who has very little skill in this dept.
Every make a follow up video using this? I'm debating on putting this in my 72 mk2 and see how the difference is compared to the mag four. I'm also considering trying the infinity fader.
Thanks for the vid. Do the mixer built-in curve knobs change the way InnoFader cuts? Or the only way to do that is by taking the mixer apart and using screws?
anyzuka the tension screw is not as precise as the innofader. Infinity fader is just a stem not an actual fader board. The cut in time on the oem fader is not very precise like I'm used to on the old faders.

@@djsupafly1 Whaaat, seriously? Naaaa it really suck because I like to setup my cut in lag like to...0.8-1mm but It's horrible with 2-3mm minimum. I like the rane build or the option with the pad and midi but for the fader I think I will go for an s9.... Thanks for the answer dude ;)

Why is the cut in only in 1mm steps in rane? Unbelievable. Fucks sake the reverse switches are tiny, sucks as i need to go back and forth between hamster and normal mode. Anyone got the s11 and still needs to change xfader?
Has anyone encountered an error saying no mag level 4 fader right when you turn on the mixer? I followed the steps verbatim. Hope I didn't do anything permanent to mess this thing up ughhhh

I never had good luck with the Innofader curve adjustment.
OneCrazyDJ the curve adjustment is made within the rane 72 settings......not on the innofader knobs.

anyzuka it's like 2-3mm. The innofader is 0.2mm. Big difference.

My rane 72 does not recognize this crossfader when I turn on the mixer, an error message appears on the touch screen. Anyone know why?
DJ SINU did a cable become disconnected? I've seen that error whenever a cable isn't properly attached.

Solve the problem, I just had to download the latest firmware.
