I do not think is impossible and even if it was impossible in the way you explain it, technically you can become a citizen of another EU-Schengen country and then move to Switzerland. And the marriage route is still there, still thanks a lot for sharing your experience Isabelle!
Great video. although I must say, where you talk about receiving a job as a non-eu being “not sustainable” and “impossible”, it may help to talk about example of different jobs where this is more likely to apply. I say this because certain professions, for example in engineering, Pharma or healthcare, it’s possible.

Since UK is non EU, your wife needs to apply for a family reunion permit for you. She can go to the OCP. As a foreigner it might be tough to do the process alone. She may need to go through legal help where English is spoken www.ge.ch/ocpm-pratique

I am not sure since L is temp permit, you may need to turn your permit into a B permit first. You would need to check this with the local office where you work which grants work permits. Every canton in Switzerland is different.
But i don't understand, overall you make it look almost impossible to work there, however when i was there on my last holidays there were lots of immigrants working in the hospitality industry, hotels, restaurants, souvenir stores...there should be a way, you just mention the info that anyone can find online, this video is not even helpful
