@@sahirdamani1264 yes yes and yes to this. All of his sons strongly have one of Ragnar’s traits. There is Bjorn, the warrior. Ivar, the strategist. Hvitserk, the sensitive one. Then there is Ubbe that is all of that and fulfilled Ragnar’s dream of land to settle and farm.
Other then Rollos claim there isn’t any other evidence to suggest he fathered Bjorn. Both were sleeping with Lagertha, and Bjorn quickly shot down his claim as only a possibility. Lagertha also never had a talk with Bjorn about it, because she knew Ragnar was his father. The most clear cut evidence is Odin appearing only to Ragnar’s sons 👌
I don’t think either of them shot it down because it was untrue. It always seemed all four of them believed it was true. But that aside, even if we knew for a fact that Rollo was Bjorn’s bio father, do you really think he would’ve been left out of that sequence?

@@victormanuelfuentes19 There’s no hard evidence either way but the hints they’ve dropped from the beginning are as much evidence as you can expect from the show. I think just the fact that this was even brought up when it never directly affected any storyline is pretty telling. And Ragnar, Lagertha, Rollo and even Bjorn all believing Bjorn to be Rollo’s son means a little bit more than Floki saying he had Ragnar’s eyes.

Lol do you honestly think that Odin wouldn’t show himself to the one that Ragnar had more of a relationship with than any other just because he wasn’t his bio son? If he had found Bjorn in a field, he’d still be just as much a part of Ragnar’s story as any of the others. If we knew for a fact that he was adopted, would you really say that Bjorn didn’t belong in that sequence?

Rollo only wanted power from day 1 he wanted to manipulate everyone around Ragnar because Ragnar had the power he so desperately tried to achieve on his own, he was eventually given power and he thought everyone else wanted power the same way he did so once he had it all he had to do was find Bjorn and offer him power hoping he would just accept his offer as he would've done and be his son.
To be honest it seems more like he tried to take their option to just stay in Kattegat by siding with ivar, then use their desperate situation thinking joining him in france is the only option.

Also the fact Ragnar raised Bjorn makes him his father anyway. Pretty much everything Bjorn learned, he learned from Ragnar.
Rollo is the most sad man in this series. He betrayed Ragnar not one’s but tries. And that even after Ragnar spare him Two times. And then he betrayed Bjorne two times. If that isn’t sad I do not know what is.

Let’s back up. That’s objectively incorrect. once when he joined that opposite army, and when he stayed in France. He wasn’t a Viking anymore and the Vikings had no intention on forgiveness, so he can’t betray people who he has no loyalty to anymore. Siding with ivar is not a betrayal

Also The most desperate. always wants more and always jealous of ragnar instead of being happy with what they had. They ruled over the world and it still wasn’t enough for him he wanted to be famous so bad and then when he finally gets what he wants he realizes he messed up when it’s too late and everyone is gone
The greatest tragedy in the show is there wasn’t more Rollo after he became Duke. They could’ve had another Viking raid for him to repel, more family drama to rehash old wounds and keep Ragnar’s past alive. A lot of potential but they settled for less.
... And live long enough to see his great great grandson William the Conqueror be born, because the historical Rollo, through William the Conqueror, is an ancestor of every living crowned monarch of Europe today.

The marriages between royal families made sure of it.
They could've kept the show going with the stories of the survivors, Rolo's story could've headlined the show . But Prime bought the series and ruined it .
Even Floki knew he was Ragnars son, literally first episode he said how Bjorn had Ragnars eyes, how because of it Bjorn would one day want to become even better than Ragnar, that's he'd hate him for it or be jealous. While there were hints, Ragnar was always proud of Bjorn even of he had a little jealous, like how he earned his Ironside name coming out with No injuries where Ragnar, the much more experienced fighter came out with some. Rollo must've smoke that French pack hard thinking Bjorn would even believe him for a second.

Rollo was still deeply compelling on his own, and its okay that he has to live in eternal pain of betraying his family. But hes still such an important king and ruler, and he found his own fulfillment and happiness

I remember them hinting at Bjorn being Rollo’s son for so long but never actually going there. I always thought there would be a bit more to the reveal.

Bjorn frankly acknowledges the truth in it. He's known this was a likely scenario since season 1. All four characters involved hint quite obviously at it.
What Bjorn dismisses is not the reality of Rollo's paternity, but the possibility of allowing this to affect his sense of self. He's disinterested in that. The fact that fatherhood is not determined solely by paternity is one of the core themes of the show. Alfred was fathered by Aethelstan, but regards King Aethelwulf as his father. Magnus' paternity was never clear, but regarded himself, and was raised as, Ragnar's son. Guthrum regarded himself as Bjorn's son.

My brother and I sometimes we love each other sometimes I hate him for the horrible things he's done to me. We both are getting up there in age he's 42 I'm 39 still getting into fist fights. Anyways rollo said to Ragnar brothers love and hate each other all at the same time

Yeah, Time line for events seem pretty accurate, Characters are thrown all over the place though but still an awesome show.
The life style, clothing, governing, foods, and manners are historically accurate, they did a lot of research for that. But the characters themselves and the events they take part in are completely written fictionally, based on the true figures in history they are named and modelled after.

Just the way Björn talked to Lagartha about Rollo’s betrayal is straight up like Ragnar.
Bjorn was nothing like Rollo. Rollo was always looking for the easy way to power and fame. Ragnar never asked for power or fame. He just wanted to see what was west. Everything he did then led to power and fame. Rollo's offer proves how different they are. He should've known it was foolish to offer an easy life to Bjorn when Bjorn believed that power is earned, not given.

In the end, the Seer was right about Rollo’s future. His descendant would eventually be William the Conqueror who became King of England and whose line continues to the current monarch.

That's because he was RAISED by Ragnar. It doesn't mean Ragnar is the biological father.
I mean as much as I love Ragnar, Lagertha almost basically admits that Rollo is right about being his biological father at 1:13, why else would she respond in that way?
In any case it doesn't matter to much. Ragnar is the one who raised him, so in my eyes that makes Ragnar the father, no matter who planted the seed.

And with genetics, there are high chances a person can inherit a trait from their uncle or aunt over their parent.
This is the worst plot twist in Vikings. Don't know what the writers were thinking.

This show just crammed like hundreds of years of Viking history into a couple decades. Plus they did a lot of things historically incorrectly. It’s still a pretty entertaining show

Pretty sure there were 6 seasons of the original Vikings.
Recently they have added a spin off, Vikings: Valhalla. Currently there is only 1 season of this.
