    Thanks for your comments on the sound. I was the internal sound recordist for these 3 cars, plus the PM3DM cars. All cars recorded with Zoom sound recorders and RODE mics from the UK cars running in the historic championship.

      Mate thanks for taking the time to leave a comment a shed a little light on how the sounds were recorded. The sounds of these cars were one of the first things to grab and pull me in and really add a level of immersion you can’t quite describe you just have to experience 👍

      @@SimRacingJasonnot a problem. Most of the recordings done are available on my channel to listen to, should one feel inclined.

      that's so cool! Thank you for your service, Ben, you did some fantastic work here sir. It's so insane when mods have better sound than some games made by an actual developer studio

    Enjoying racing the Ford Mondeo with downloaded skins at Bathurst with the Vectra and Honda as well as the Volvo and Nissan from other sources.
    These cars are also great for Australian touring car racing as well.
    Agree 100% that these cars drive amazingly well despite a few online suggestions that they could be better. With some force feedback adjustments, these cars are an amazing experience!!
    Great review-thanks for all the hard work!

      My first few laps in these new tin tops didn’t blow me away as I was expecting to be, but with a couple of tweaks to the way I was driving them it all just clicked and I was away and have been really really enjoying them. Thanks for the kind words mate I really appreciate it.

    Yes, Jason! I've been having an enormous amount of fun with these cars, and checking the VRC discord, there's a bit of a sneak peak as to what they're working on for the update. The dream would a couple more of these cars, or even updating the existing PM3DM or picking up where they left off. Those guys and VRC deserve money for the work they put into these, to be able to have a grid of Vectras, Mondeos, Accords, Primeras, S40's, Legunas, maybe even 330i's to throw in a RWD, wow would that be something.
    Great vid, and congrats on nearing 1k subscribers!

      I did find out more about some setup tweaks you can make after slightly changing how i drive them but as i am now happy how they feel I've not tried them. Its going to be interesting to see what the update brings as they must have a ton of user feedback they can use to improve the cars, I'm not sure we will see any new cars but i will be keeping everything crossed just in case !

      Cheers mate, and if you grab the BTCC skins from Race Department is just like being back in the late 90's and those epic super tourers we all loved to watch.

    I am new to this, when you say a mod, you mean the individual cars and track as separate mods right? Or is there some total package contained within a big mod?

    • @SimRacingJason
      @SimRacingJason  Год назад

      The cars all come together as one mod and the track is then available as a separate mod. The cars do cost a few pounds but the track is free. Please hit the links in the description to find out more mate.

    Hello, wonderful possible to have a link with your skin pack?

    • @SimRacingJason
      @SimRacingJason  8 месяцев назад +1

      All the skins can be found on the Race Department website. Just check out the Assetto Corsa skins download section. These weren’t part of a pack I just found skins for each car and created a full grid that way.

    I’m a fan of VRC but for me this is not up to their usual standard. I’ve had a couple of decent races but the lack of feel at the limit compared to other fwd btcc and wtc mods I have makes me not want to drive them. I do agree they have done a great job with audio.

    • @SimRacingJason
      @SimRacingJason  Год назад +1

      This mod has had a little odd start. I was so excited when I first heard about their release but my first few laps felt a little underwhelming. So I stepped away initially and went back to the rFactor 2 BTCC content. But there was that feeling I was missing something with these super tourers so I had another go and this time with a different track, Oulton, and slightly changed my driving style to better match the cars and once I did it all just clicked and I seemed to unlock the potential of this mod. I am now hooked on racing them in AC and having a lot of fun with them.

    • @kevinking9752
      @kevinking9752 Год назад +2

      I recommend checking the VRC discord, there were a couple of people who had the same experience as you did but you need to do a few setup tweaks to make them a bit more pliable. At the default setup up they're a bit treacherous and frustrating, so (from what I can remember), I softened rear ARB, tightened the front ARB, lowered rear tire pressure a few ticks, then upped the coast and preload to keep the oversteer under control and it REALLY made the cars come alive and made them less temperamental. Not guaranteeing they'll work, but it did take a little patience from me.
      It also seems that they're working on a 1.1 version, and once they have the FFB dialed in to be a little less inconsistent, these will be one of the best touring car mods out there.
