I made this yesterday, wings over a mound of iceberg lettuce with home-made dressing. Turned out really tasty, though the 45 minutes on 225F is way, way off. I ended up cranking temps to 350 for another good 30-some minutes just to cook the wings properly, then basted with sauce and left for another 10 or so minutes for color and right crispiness. Other than the timing and temps, the end result was delish. Family literally vaccummed everything in a blink of an eye :)
Recipe is way off. Maybe if you cook them on 325 for 45 min they will cook all the way. Have no idea how he cooked them on 225 for 45 min and got the temp to 180. Super rubbery skin. Don’t do it at 225

idk where they plucked 45 minutes from but this literally took an eternity like 3hrs to reach 180 before sauce
Recipe is off. Wings will come out rubbery and slimey
Leave them on the grill for longer during the hot phase. Get's em crispy!
Ya mine turned out amazing, mine took about two hours to get them to perfection!

Had to crank up temp. 45 mins at 225, nope. Food hazard imo
Use 325
