Wouldnt the answer for number 39 be $1860. Cause to calculate the closing capital is opening capital+ net profit-drawings.
So to calculate the net profit would be closing capital-opening capital+drawings.

for number 30 wouldn't the answer be $900 bcz it said at the beginning of the year not the end. The 810 would be the bal b/d for the fourth year which would make it the bal c/d of the third year which is normally calculated at the end of the year.

No, the answer in the video is correct.
1st year: 1000-(1000x10%) = 900,
2nd year: 900-(90x10%) = 810
