I've been using a 3 inch piece of 5/16 ID gasoline hose for over 40 years. Also, lithium grease to lubricate the cork joints. Both avaliable at an auto parts store. I also purchased a slightly shorter 2nd barrel to be able to play slightly sharper, as I play with violinists.They do like it "bright", as they say. I am on you tube if you care to listen to klezmer music.

Tecnica e suono poi sono stupendi. Solo una curiosità: Mi sembra che nei 3 sovracuti del primo tempo la nota di arrivo sia sempre un po' calante. È una impressione solo mia? Non vuole essere una critica, ci mancherebbe. Ma io sento queste 3 note di arrivo calanti e mi chiedo se è solo una mia impressione.
I would recommend for a professional setup the Tradition clarinet, M30 13 Series Mouthpiece, Bonade Non-Inverted Ligature, Vandoren V12 Reeds. (My personal setup)
is02ub I use a Behn mouthpiece, Behn aria reeds, a fancy Silverstein...I’m well aware that practice is most important. I’m just curious what works for him. I saw he used a BD5 once which was surprising considering how much trouble I have getting a colorful sounds from the BD5. Everyone is different.
