Im Vietnamese grew up watching Hong Kong Movies like Young and Dangerously 😂 some with subtitles only, so we got used to Cantonese tones. Feels like we vietnamese could learn Cantonese easier than other languages. I think Cantonese is a lot more beautiful than Mandarin ❤️
@@welovedji1116 I used to watch lots of TVB VCD and DVD dramas back then as a kid. I miss those good old dramas back then. I do agree Cantonese sounds nicer than mandarin especially when it’s used in old palace drama, Cantonese sounds so poetic in those drama. Do you still watch any TVB drama these days?
Tôi từ nhỏ ở quận 1 khu người hoa nên học trong trường người nói tiếng quảng đông nên biết được vài từ, cảm nhận của tôi là nghe tiếng quảng đông hay hơn tiếng phổ thông
@@anhkim4436 Cantonese sounds more gentle to me especially when watching hong kong palace dramas and Canto songs. However, once we start to curse and scold in Canto it is fiercer than Mandarin.
Hey Cantonese actually sounds a bit like Thai (I don’t know Thai btw) but to an unrelated party, Cantonese and Vietnamese probably should more similar.
Benard, your Cantonese is pretty good, i also can speak , since i'm from HK originally and have been living in USA for many years now, will be in vn later this year , will definetely practice my Cantonese as well.
Thank you 🙏🏻 I hope to improve more on my Cantonese in Vietnam. You can visit Chinatown, district 5 to converse in Cantonese. Just try to order your food in Cantonese and locals who speak Cantonese will come and have a chat with you 🙏🏻😊
@@bernardwangg cool, i wanted to know more about the wise debit card if i can use it to pay for local things in VN such as a Grab/rideshare ? i try to have other cashless options while in Vn in case i cannot open up a bank account since i'm a foreingner.
@@Boobooli Most local stores accepts only cash or VN QR code payment - streetfood, street food shops, local small shops. Convenience store, supermarket, shopping malls accepts Visa and Mastercard which means you can use your WISE and YOUTRIP cards. Some restaurants and hotels might charge you extra 3% for using Visa/ Mastercard. For Grab, i am using my visa card from another Singapore bank but you can try your WISE card since the app supports visa/mastercard, very handy when you book your taxi from airport. NEVER get a cab outside of the app, there are many scams! NEVER follow anyone saying they are your driver before sighting their mobile phone's booking details. I posted a video on taxi scam in VN before. Look out for VP Bank and TPBank for one of lowest withdrawal fee. Enjoy your trip :D

Yeah. The aunties in district 5 always give you food and drink for free. They so lovely. ❤.

@@Viet_Nam_Ball you are right. Actually I find some thai words sound similar to Chinese too 😄
Tiếng Quảng Đông người Việt nghe rất thân quen ... Chứ tiếng Phổ thông không có cảm tình ! Nhớ những người bạn tuổi thơ người Quảng đông lối xóm !
I do find some words really similar to vietnamese, though i dont speak Vietnamese yet :D
Tiếng Quảng Đông có nhiều từ giống Tiếng Việt, đặc biệt là người Hongkong, bởi vì chúng ta đều sống với nhau từ thời Bách Việt
