Vietnam is all about games. Everyone plays something. The competitions in Vietnam are packed. And resemble the same hype and attendance as big international events. There are even huge games that only exist in the Vietnamese language, so you'll never see them outside the country. Glad you enjoyed your time. For whoever has a few months of no plans, just come to Vietnam, rent a place and relax a little. Tourist visa gets you 90 days, extendable via a visa agent or just hopping to somewhere close like Thailand, Korea or Singapore then entering Vietnam again. Renting isn't a mess like overseas where you're bound to 1-year contracts. You can find many options that do month to month, for low commitment itineraries.
i agree the PC gaming cafes here are very competitive, they are situated almost nearby each other. Seeing some PC cafes packed with hundreds of bikes outside the store means the shop's business is really good. I really love vietnam you can experience everything all in one country. I went for some home viewing they charge me foreigner price lol
@@bernardwangg ten years ago everyone biked because they had to. Now it’s becoming more of a style choice. You bike when you want to zip past traffic and have a small footprint. Then use your car for longer trips or when you have passengers. Life’s good. Less and less “foreigner priced” transactions. If you are really looking, send me a message when you’re back in town. I’m a landlord in the D2 area. No vacancies at the moment for my own units, but I can help you connect with agents or owners for some options in your preferred area. A lot of the time, the foreigner pricing arises because the agents you speak to are agents to the agents of the owner. So three mouths to feed instead of just the owner or just the owner and their agent. That second agent usually just fills a communication role to connect homeowners with English speaking clients. But the more people involved, the price also climbs. When I first moved here ten years ago, my first rented apartment was like that. I didn’t even know I was dealing with the agent of the agent until much later. And paying $100-$200 more than the real price.
Vietnamese here and this internet cafe is really exceptional, i've never experienced one that is that premium

The price of viettel tourist SIM card in airport is usually higher than downtown?.i remember that the official retailer issuesd the viettel tourist SIM card is around 10k and 20k,
its not alot of savings if you buy in downtown, it is better to buy sim card at airport and use data to book a taxi to your accomodations. Flagging cabs or going into random guy's car for transport at airport will make you fall into scam taxis.

Im Vietnamese grew up watching Hong Kong Movies like Young and Dangerously 😂 some with subtitles only, so we got used to Cantonese tones. Feels like we vietnamese could learn Cantonese easier than other languages. I think Cantonese is a lot more beautiful than Mandarin ❤️
@@welovedji1116 I used to watch lots of TVB VCD and DVD dramas back then as a kid. I miss those good old dramas back then. I do agree Cantonese sounds nicer than mandarin especially when it’s used in old palace drama, Cantonese sounds so poetic in those drama. Do you still watch any TVB drama these days?

@@Boobooli Most local stores accepts only cash or VN QR code payment - streetfood, street food shops, local small shops. Convenience store, supermarket, shopping malls accepts Visa and Mastercard which means you can use your WISE and YOUTRIP cards. Some restaurants and hotels might charge you extra 3% for using Visa/ Mastercard. For Grab, i am using my visa card from another Singapore bank but you can try your WISE card since the app supports visa/mastercard, very handy when you book your taxi from airport. NEVER get a cab outside of the app, there are many scams! NEVER follow anyone saying they are your driver before sighting their mobile phone's booking details. I posted a video on taxi scam in VN before. Look out for VP Bank and TPBank for one of lowest withdrawal fee. Enjoy your trip :D
