This is the top giveaway ever!
The big miss here is not adding Porsche ceramic composite brakes to the build and what you valued the build at or paid for it. I just built this exact car on the Porsche website as shown here on your video. The total MSRP is $255,925. I then estimated around another $500 or so for powder coating the wheels and that would bring the total to $256,425.
She's still a beautiful beast none the less. So, remember to whom ever wins this car or any other car. Get a valuation done after the fact as you will save money on taxes because giveaway/sweepstakes vehicles are usually over hyped on their value/asking price. The inflated value is not an accurate representation of what the real world value of the car actually is.
Lastly and even better, depending on the rarity, market trends and a potential buyers want for a specific car and that cars spec/build, one could net more money in the sale of a vehicle well over the actual valuation. That means more money in your pocket both on savings in taxation and money earned from the sale.
Thumbs up 80Eighty, just don't put to many more miles on this new car bringing it's value down even further and remember to go easy on it as Porsche has a strict break in period. Also, the more you launch this the less it is worth in resale too.
You can top this by giving away the Weissach Package version of the GT3-RS or GT2-RS.
They didn’t build it and buy straight from Porsche, they bought it new from a dealer (first owner). To build it and buy for the $255k you have to get lucky to be allocated. Because of this. Dealers can sell or exorbitant amounts like even almost $600k. They even show screenshots of postings that were more expensive than what they got theirs for.
@@kylelafleur3659 I'm aware of that. One can still have one built from Porsche on their website if they are chosen to have one allocated and even faster if you have owned a Porsche previously. You're incorrect about 'lucky' Porsche is only building so many at a time. So in fact, it's a get on the list and get in line situation. It's the exact same process if approved to buy one new at a dealership. They go on the Porsche website and help you build/order one. I know a few people who did NOT have to pay the $100k plus mark-up when doing so.
You missed my points, at NO point did I say or elude to that 80eighty ordered one directly from Porsche. It's pretty obvious. As I already spoke to the mark-up and almost NOBODY is paying plus $100k-$300k markups on the cars and even more so for the past year. A screen shot is NOT an accurate representation of what they are actually being sold for nor does it show the dates on them.
I keep track/tabs on how this all works. The dealership and 3rd party Luxury dealerships that are selling these new have had many, many of the Porsche GT3's and RS models sitting for months and months and even for well over a year because the days of them normally selling on the regular with the ridiculous mark-ups are long gone. Again, you missed where I pointed out in my first comment that some buyers are willing to do so if a specific build tickles their fancy.
The over hyped supply chain shortage is NO longer cutting it in the new or used car market and the associated mark-ups are dwindling in price and have been right along with dealerships sitting on tons of cars that are NOT selling from said dealerships who are not budging on gouging the customer.
So, again you're totally wrong about 'dealers' asking such high prices currently when they do and the reason for them doing it in the past on these cars. They did it because they could and could care less about potential buyers. After a couple of years now Porsche is finally starting to see that potential buyers are tired of being treated poorly and not giving into their shady business practices. In fact the market overall is and has been pretty stagnant for a quite awhile now.
Lastly, what I originally stated is still a FACT about what a vehicles is valued at and how that all works. It has nothing to do with what a DEALERSHIP, Porsche or otherwise current ASKING price for a vehicle to be sold at is. So with all that considered your reply is moot.
I would personally take the Lamborghini over the Porsche but I'm so very glad to the Porsche lovers that they got another one to give away. I do wish everyone the very best of luck to everyone of you

This gt3rs and the 10f1 Lamborghini are really good...different in many ways but just as special honestly. A suggestion for the next vehicle could be a revisit to your roots. Maybe do 3-5 vehicles of lower value but run them at the same time. A group win would be a nice twist. These giveaways are awesome!

Crazy part is from the look it’s a non-weissach which is probably more limited than the other GT3 RS cars as most option the weissach pack.
Unless it’s got the Weissach package, it’s not going for 400K. Correct me if I’m wrong but this example does not have the Weissach package which costs around 70k from Porsche
