Skydiving is amazing. I've once skydived in Dubai from 4km. Let me share my experience: The instructor straps you *REALLY* tight, and then you're interviewed. You go into a van with other people and the instructors. As you reach the plane, which is really small, you wave at the camera, and climb up the plane. While the plane reaches 4km in altitude, you talk with other people. As the plane is close to the 4km altitude, the instructor gives you goggles to wear. Once the plane reaches 4km, the door is opened, and people jump with the instructors two by two. When it's your turn to jump, you look at the gorgeous city, and you are on the verge of shitting your pants, but it's too late. The instructor jumps with you and you fly. Adrenaline kicks in, and you don't feel any pain at all (the way they strapped it was so tight it hurt like hell). You fly for a few second, before the instructor asks you to do the "banana" pose. After that, the cameraman records you (yes, he/she is literally flying while recording you with a small, professional camera). You then reach the point, where the instructor releases the parachute. Once again, you almost shit your pants when the parachute is released, because you have a feeling that you're "going up". You slow down, and enjoy the beautiful city, including Palma Jumeirah. However, the straps hurt like actual hell in your thighs, to the point where your thighs become numb (atleast in my case). Once you reach like 100m above the landing area, the instructor asks you to raise your feet. Once you land, you are amazed by the experience. The cameraman records you once again. The footage of you is later sent to you via mail I'd say it was a wonderful experience and worth it. You all should try it out!

@@anordinaryfellow2832 I commented what it feels like in another post I think I saw you in. In regards to how you start, you really just look up skydiving location in your area and check the price. I payed around $200, but the next time I go, $75 is taken off as to skydive you need to have training so you're paying for that as well. Since I have the certificate, I don't need to pay to get it. The first dive is considered as training, and so by the end you get a certificate that says you completed training. There are a few other things I need to do before I can jump solo, but I need to save for that, and I would assume I need to buy my own chute. Ironically, the scariest and most dangerous part isn't jumping off from the plane or falling from high, but actually touching the ground (once you safely reach it) because you can break your legs if you do it incorrectly in the slightest.
Breaking your legs or any bone isn't scary the body goes into shock you won't really feel the pain for a while I have broken both my legs and arms at least twice and each time I was more horrified about the fact that my bones were bending in the wrong way I didn't even feel the pain.

I've always been curious. How do skydivers know where to land? With my inadequate sense of direction and attention span, I imagine I'd fly miles away from the mark with no food, water, and money 😂
It's fine. I remember we drilled and looked at photographs from above for 3-4 days. Birds eye view of the airfield. It was an island in a sea of green forest surrounding it with a few patches of small farms. The big day came and I was ready for my first jump. Off I go. It was the best feeling I've ever experienced. I'm dangling and aiming to land for the green patch. But wait a minute, the wind suddenly picked up speed and now it's pulling me away from the airfield. Nothing I could do, but drift backwards into the abyss. Oh darn! "You want to avoid trees" I remember the instructor told me. Luckily, I see a small farm in the distance, with cows in a small field. It was hilarious seeing farm animals that are used this happening all the time. They've probably experienced that 100 times before. xD My instructor drove out, he knew the area too well. To summerise, there's a designated spot next to the airfield. If you miss it, then hopefully no worries.
@@willek1335 nooo, not the trees 😂 sounds like quite the adventure. Good to know most instructors would know where you'd end up if you missed. Hopefully I get to try this myself; the skydiving, not the getting lost part 😂
I’ve been curious about sky diving and felt like it was something I should definitely have on my bucket list, but I also thought I’d always be too afraid to actually go through it. See: I don’t have a fear of heights, but I do have a fear of falling… and that’s pretty much what skydiving is. ^^; however! Watching this video made me think: “ah… I kinda really wanna do that.”
I had a fear of heights and still have a some fear of jumping and falling on ski/skateboard/snowboard/bike, but not skydiving. It seems it's a natural fear for human beings to jump off of secure objects and into the void of nothingness that awaits you. It will therefor be scary the first couple of times, but once you've conquered that temporary fear of letting go, it will most likely be the best feeling. Dopamine and adrenaline through the roof and focus on life as sharp as an obsidian knife. That fear will be replaced with the courage of a roaring lion! What are you waiting for? The AFF course consist of a long drill of ~3-4 days. Then you'll have two instructors holding you the entire time you're diving. Later on you'll do more solo jumps, like a video I uploaded from Perris V. If for some unlikely reason you won't be able to pull your chute, there's a computer that does it automatically. If that fails, there's a reserve chute. It's a very safe activity.
@@willek1335 omg... i knew skydiving would be one of the highest forms of an adrenaline rush that you could get, but I never thought of it quite like how you described it. Leaping into the void and surrendering yourself to it as the world pulls you back. letting go of your illusion of control and fully experiencing some of the greatest forces of nature. it sounds amazing.

Breaking your legs or any bone isn't scary the body goes into shock you won't really feel the pain for a while I have broken both my legs and arms at least twice and each time I was more horrified about the fact that my bones were bending in the wrong way I didn't even feel the pain.

I have a fear of heights and falling both. But i really wanna skydive, its only one life you get to experience it.
