- the one and only endless summer beach band! - while mike was off doing this the beach boys were left to fend for themselves leading to a string of dates in 1990 without mike. is anyone able to ascertain who's in the band? there's mike obviously, adrian on bass (!) in a very snazzy hat, and i assume phil bardowell? but i can't seem to concretely identify anyone else...
anyway, lots of songs being played in quick succession here as you'd expect, nothing too exciting but the segue between fun, fun, fun and good vibrations is... interesting and the start of barbara ann is fun!

This is actually a pretty great performance. Great lineup of musicians. Love Phil B’s guitar playing. In an alternate universe where Mike couldn’t secure the license to use The BBs name, he’d probably tour as ML&TESBB to this day.
can only hope they'd play every version of the Endless Summer Beach Band song pre-show in that universe

Why does mike play up the nasalises of surfing USA here? Sure the vocal on the record is a bit nasally, but not like this. It sounds like a parody of mike.
Especially during the 70's he sounded like a parody of himself
