- The Beach Boys perform "Barbara Ann" live at the Farm Aid concert in Champaign, Illinois on September 22, 1985. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help - what can you do?
At 75 years young I listen to Beach Boys when I am out jogging 3 times per week. This is real music..
Try to listen the version of REO BROTHERS,they are only 4 but for me REO sounds better than this lads.
@@roelelliot2952 Yes I have, They are dam good.. Stay safe from Canada. Thank you.
I hope you're still out there jogging!
Whoever the keyboard player was, he really had the harmony vocals down. Imagine having The Beach Boys on your resume as a musician
i think it was Bruce Johnston
@@denizbluemusic That's awesome, you can tell he was having a good time
The keyboard player doing the harmonies was Billy Hinske
Yeah that's Billy Hinsche, Carl Wilson's brother-in-law.
@@sheatiller2465 sadly he passed last year
Carl Wilson is a national treasure
Still love The Beach Boys music! Fun, Fun, Fun!
Can never get tired of listening and watching these legends. Thank you guys for what you have and continue to do for GREAT MUSIC!
I agree with you. they've always been and still are, my favorite band.

Saw them in concert in 1965 as a HS soph. Absolutely fantstic. I have never seen anything like it. The girls showered the stage with their class rings.

I recently saw Beach Boys concert at P.N.E. in Vancouver Canada! Fun! Danced lots! Music of my boyhood & youth!
The beach boys are always a classic to watch and listen to appreciate your singing you should be proud way to go. Joe
So amazing!! I love this concert. Mike is so excited and so is the crowd. Plus it just sounds so good!!
After Live Aid earlier that year, it's apparent that Brian opted out of this one.
If I ever have the fortune to meet Brian Wilson, I'm going to give him a hug (if he was open to it) and thank him for all the music and even the cultural influence!
COVID KEEP YOUR DISTANCE!
I have met Brian several times. Very Humble & very Honored to shake his hand & thank Him for his Love of Music
Quién es el pianista que hace la segunda voz importante de la canción?
Love the beach boys love Farm Aid!! Thank you so much for sharing and God bless everyone
What a great time
This is my favorite song my Mother's name was Barbara Ann she died 23 years ago today
🙏 ❤️ 🇧🇷
May she rest in peace❤️
RIP
I'm seeing the Boys twice in the first week of May. I can't wait for my #32 and 33 concerts!
And isn't it a blast once you hit the 30's? Wait til it's the 40's- you will enter nirvana! Enjoy the ride!
Nice song 👍
I love the beach boys from Japan 🇯🇵
After all these years later still going strong way to go to the beach boys always a classic to watch really appreciate your singing you should be amazed and proud love and appreciate you guys thanks you guys rock ! Joe
I have the first recording of this on a 45 vinyl record where they are all laughing and totally drunk. Their speech is slurred during the whole song. The Beach Boys are legends in their own right. Their music helped to shape America and usher in the era of rock and roll.
the beach boys rocks
I've always liked the Beach Boys (and I'm 66 yesrs old), but have discovered a fresh love of their music and liking of their story(ies).
This is probably the best live recordal of any of their hits that I've seen.
All the band members make their contribution to entertainment and musical excellence, but without doubt for a live performance Mike Love stands out and gives the band presence.
The Beach Boys lived and survived though tumultuous times.
RMY
Always a classic to watch on TV or my cell phone after all these years you should be proud way to go best wishes to the beach boys appreciate you guys thanks ! Joe
You got to be honest, Mike Love did a fantastic job singing and entertaining the crowd in this one! Right on Boys!
Taku B: old Mike looked odd in his Hawaiian print halter top.
Mike Love is by far the most underappreciated guy in the group. Was pretty much the leader from day 1 from a business and thematic perspective
Sydney (my parrot) sings this ACappella His favorite song!!!
Love their music i was teenager my sister time;
They looks so good 😊
Talento vocal impressionante.
The 80's was the real definition of "lit"
One of my favorites!!❤
great band great song !
I was there! What a great day, even in the rain!
Great job guys keep up the good work. Joe
Too good.
Mike Love was the energy of that group. Lots of people don't like him, but the audiences sure did.
I remember watching this live on CMT and after the Beach Boys went thru their 4 or 5 songs that everyone knew the words to, back in the booth, Brenda Lee and Alabama broke to commercial, I was thinking " who the heck has to follow that"? The answer- country singer John Conlee, who more than held his own considering who he followed- making me a John Conlee fan instantly.
Extraordinarios❤❤❤ y q natural sin tanta tecnología simplemente maravilloso
awesome!!!!
Loved it. Thank yoU!

Newegg is a great affordable place to buy keyboards to those whom may have broken or sticky CAPS-LOCK keys.
YOU GOT ME ROCKING Barbara ann
Our southern California guys the Beach Boys
Good ol University of Illinois. Champaign, Il Home of REO Speedwagon . The best part of the Concert was Dylan and then Eddie Van Halen's first playing with Sammy Hager. They still hadn't announced that he would be the new lead singer. It was right after this show.
covid 19 cant stop the beach boys they are so good that they would rock covid 19 off the map
rock-n roll... no words
Beach Boys forever
This Farm Aid thing was held in Memorial Stadium at the University of Illinois. Lot of good talent , wonder what farmers ever benefited from these performances. I was a farmer and could of used some help, never have run into anyone who was helped and i know a lot of farmers who could ues some help.
I watched this live I was 7 years old
super cool
One can dislike Mike Love but that intro was damn cool.
Mike Love is cool...some need to get past that!
@@billyshears921 Yeah when I see your name I can tell you are clearly a reasonable person
@@billyshears921Mile Love is cool ... that joke is hilarious
I saw The Beach Boys do this song once. There are other songs I like better, but when they did this one live, it was the best.

I grew up listening to and loving the Beach Boys. Carl and I are the same age except he decided he didn't need to continue growing old. Love and miss you Carl Dean Wilson. Until later.
Rest In Peace Carl Wilson, Billy Hinsche, and Jeffery Foskett, you all are missed.

Mike Love, Al Jardine, Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Carl Wilson - a group never to be copied
They add additional players in all of their concerts.
@@Rlotpir1972 Maybe they were very good singers but not instrument players.
Hummmm... Mike love first. Don't think so.
Love is to the Beach Boys as was Yoko to the Beatles..
@@Victorzrx1200r Agree
I was born in '97 and I honestly wish I was born in this era, where good music was played and people danced with decency.
Skyla Erhard It's good to hear that there are still people like you. :)
Skyla Erhard an d it was very white
Skyla Erhard just remember there was no internet so you couldn't watch them on youtube
You realize people invented the jitterbug and slow dancing so they could get close and do sexually provocative things with each other, right? There was no decency in the 1900s. It was a debauched, decadent era. Today we have taste and restraint. You just aren't looking for it. You haven't even scratched the surface of good music of today.
Skyla Erhard : It was a time that defined a generation. I loved every minute ( except for the 2 years in Korea. Ugh!! )
This song takes me back to Coventry Rhode island at kids Blair showboat.
Sensacional
GOOD SONG
2:27 guitarist :"What if I try something else... Shit that's not that easy"

When that "40 years later" hits hard.
This reminds me of when The Beach Boys appeared on Full House
