Wow Karen! The Robert Graham shirts will pay for your trip to Florida and then some. What a find! Love the lemon platter also. Have a safe trip! Thanks for taking us shopping.
I love looking at neighborhoods in other states, so I really enjoyed the views of the houses & neighborhood. It was a beautiful area. I've never been to Pennsylvania & I probably never will, so thank you for sharing some scenery from your beautiful state😊
OK I’m walking and I’m a few minutes into your video. I had planned on staying home and getting some listing done and not going out sourcing since I have way too much stuff, but now I’m debating going to an estate sale that had some nice things and everything is half price today.😊😊
Good morning! Say, have you ever noticed that once you start looking at something, it's REALLY hard to stop?! Like the plates? Even if I don't WANT to look at them lol. Thanks for the shopping trip, and have a great weekend!
The first watercolor painting with the island is Trunk Bay on St. John. Id recognize that beach anywhere, as it is one of my favorite beaches of all time! The second is Cruz Bay in St. John where the ferry comes in.
As always K learned from your Vlog especially the Robert Graham. TYSM! As you say, if the yard sales aren't there, on to the Thrift! Did love the seagrass Llama (so boho) and the Blue & White Ginger Jar on the shelves and the last Kendra piece you saw - the glaze was gorgeous. Thanks again for the knowledge and the fun!
My grandmother had a wall of decorative plates which was pretty cool. Well the Northridge earthquake in 1994 pretty much destroyed all the dishes so I advise anyone in California not a good idea to do this🤣
Broken Antlers: my son-in law takes mis-matched and broken antlers and sells them on line in pieces under 12”, to keep shipping costs down (uses Med Flat Rate Boxes). The target audience are folks who make handmade knives, with antler handles and crafters who slice them into rounds on a bandsaw to made unique buttons. Takes the broken, mis-matched pieces and still turns a profit.
I really look forward to your videos. You have a great eye and such a wonderful way of looking at things 😊 My daughter and I went to 2 community yard sales yesterday and also ended up going to thrift stores instead. Had a couple small finds but I think the weather here also discouraged the sellers 🤷♀️ I did find a PBK sheet set at the thrift store for $3.50 and a duvet cover for $2.50 that I never would have thought to pick up if not for you! I’ll let you know how I do with those 😊
Karen, thanks as always for sharing. I was thinking throughout the video "the hustle is real', but then you found all those beautiful Robert Graham shirts. Score. 😊
My theory is that everyone purged during the last couple of years during Covid. That is why we did so good at thrift stores then, but our neighborhood sales now have been only a couple of people participating. Has been disappointing. Miss bringing home a car load.
100% correct . After "lockdown" ended - that Spring was AMAZING - it was clear people stayed home and cleaned. & prep for yard sales. I got a sterling silver service set in wooden case for $20.00 ! ( did they confused silver PLATE w/ sterling ?) that season ! That will cause a "shortage" for sure . However - Goodwill is ALWAYS a short . The manager's are TRAINED on what to "hold back". My Goodwill is baby clothes & clear glass. That's IT. $10.00 for a plain Forever 21 denim jacket - used. FIND a flea market . More colorful , odd and UNUSUAL & more VINTAGE .
That said , 2 days ago I found a vintage 1950s "atomic lamp" and 1950s plug in Santa figure at a yard sale 2 days ago - so good stuff is still out there - you just have to try 4 times as hard to find it.
just started to watch your video, sorry the yard sales were a bust. Danni got lucky while traveling at yard sales and swap meets. I hope you find what's yours.
Love the lampshade and I love the lemon design platter. At least GW was better than the yard sales... I think you leave the teal vase there............
I have a candle like that coiled one you showed. Mine is smaller & is the shape of a beehive with bumble bees all over it. I received it as a gift & have only burned it a few times. It does work, but you have to manually turn the wax coil to move the unburnt wax up. Just fyi :)
I have one also- it’s called a “ courting candle”. Way back when, when a boy came to court a girl, her father would wind up enough coil for a short visit- when the flame went out, it was time for the boy to leave. An inch = 20 minutes or something.
Fish Dish: you mentioned enjoying it whilewaiting for its sale. I actually have a Custom SKU location code (like a bin location) for items I leave out on display, but have listed.
I have a hard time asking people to do better on the price especially when the amount seems fair. I keep thinking of all the time they spend preparing, organizing, working it, and cleaning up at the end. I’ve got to push myself to politely ask as you so nicely do.
My theory is that at the end of a sale it’s all going to be donated to a thrift store anyway. People don’t want to bring the stuff back inside once the sale is over. Here in the south, haggling is part of the yard sale game.
Seems like yard sales are a all-go or a no-go. When I used to go yard-selling every weekend, I would either had a really good day and find something at every one or a really bad day finding nothing.
Hi Karen, now that you mention it, my Sister-in-law actually has a row of decorated plates around all the top edge of the kitchen walls maybe 30 or more of them! Lol! Cheers Pat PS I remember your Memorial Day Flea Market or collection of garage sales one after another last year, you got some good items I’ll look forward to seeing you do it again!
OMGoodness!! You got the timing right on those Robert Graham shirts!! I about …, you know, when you posted COMPS!! Hope you’ll share what they sell for down the road!! Enjoy your trip to FL!! Is Roger going?? That would be more fun. 😁
On RUclips At the top put Lavender Clothesline that will take you to her page. near the top select Videos and it will bring up all the videos she has ever posted.
I often pick up mini frames, (and frames in general) new and vintage and when I can find the antique ones at a reasonable resale price, those are the most prized ones. The truly antique mini frames in good shape can resell for $20 - $30 plus, are easy to ship and people are looking for them. ( Karen, I know you don’t do this but for any viewers/resellers who may read this: Please do Buy it Now on this and other specialty items…do not give these away for a few dollars in a low starting bid price auction with low numbers of bidders….no matter what Ebay recommends.)😊
Hey Karen, really enjoyed your video and the Robert Graham haul, Wow! Also, If you’re interested in learning more about glass you could try watching The Niche Lady’s RUclips channel. She is knowledgeable about glass and you might get some insight from her. I’ve learned a pretty good bit from watching her.
Hi Karen. I love and so look forward to all your videos! Can you please tell me what town that big community yardsale is you mentioned? I will be in your neck of the woods Memorial Weekend. Thanks!
That Longaberger bread basket brick sold for $15 plus shipping on 5/7/22 and it wouldn't take up much space to store, so maybe you should have picked it up. My space is limited, so sadly, I'm not buying things that sell for under $30 these days. I have to leave a lot of things that are calling my name!
Yes avoid Avon and Sarah Coventry jewelry not good sellers- curious what do you do with your items in your eBay store that aren't selling ? Do you have a yard sale ? go to the swap meet? giveaway? donate back? just curious? New to your channel I like your channel a lot it's one of the best out there
I offered a flea marketer $20 for a shoebox of Peppa Pig figures marked at 2/$1.00 . She refused to sell because the figures were "good money makers for her and she'd take them to the next sale next week". So I stood there and counted out the ones I wanted, taking out the duplicates and damaged pieces, and paid $13.00 for the pieces I bought. There were 8 left, or $4.00 worth. / sometimes I don't think people think things through well.
Good Morning from NY. Just sitting here with a broken left wrist and a broken right arm from a fall I took in Brooklyn. Ugh...is all I can say! 🤯 Let's go shopping (I wish)
$8.00 is perfectly fair for those 3 items (gold lamp, cat holder , scarf). I would never talk someone down on $8.00 . Geez. If those 3 items were at Goodwill = $23 .00 plus tax! At the VERY LEAST.
@@leithsapitan1428 I'm just saying : $8.00 for those 3 items is not even worth asking for a discount . Goodwill would charge $12.99 for that hideous lamp as it is. The scarf would be easy ..$7.00 (thrift stores seem to REALLY over-charge for Marshall's / T.J. Maxx type scarves thinking they're Hermes scarves) . That cat holder thing would be like $5.99 / $7.99 at least. You're acting like $23.00 is a lot of money.
I have a hard time listening the clothing, they take so much work on the front end washing ironing measurements folding bagging putting in bins uhhh. Only easy so shipping. I have about 100 pieces on back log. How do you push yourself to get the listing done ?
Wow Karen! The Robert Graham shirts will pay for your trip to Florida and then some. What a find! Love the lemon platter also. Have a safe trip! Thanks for taking us shopping.

A group of cats is called a "clowder".
Karen, I love hearing you say, "this is a drag!", I haven't heard that in forever! Good times!
Hi Karen, I love it when you take us shopping with you! Thanks again!
Karen, you are my inspiration, as well as my Sunday and Wednesday morning zen. Thank you for sharing with us. 💛

Yard sale in your neighborhood.... The neighbors might wish you would have one!!! Lots of great stuff.
Love the lemon platter... the large white rabbit was adorable.... thanks for taking us with you!

I'm sure I've passed on many Robert Graham shirts over the years. The shirt I have listed hasn't moved but atleast LC introduced me to him😉
My grandmother had a wall of decorative plates which was pretty cool.

Cool shirts!
Tiki items, almost always make me smile. Like you, I don’t collect them, but do like to find and sell them.
Karen, thanks as always for sharing. I was thinking throughout the video "the hustle is real', but then you found all those beautiful Robert Graham shirts. Score. 😊
Really enjoyed this video. Love checking out yard sales.

Loved the shape of the little creamer!
It is pretty, maybe as a vase. Somebody that likes the ocean scenes...
Love the lampshade and I love the lemon design platter. At least GW was better than the yard sales... I think you leave the teal vase there............
Those Robert Graham shirts were great finds! I want to find a size L in the wild one day for my son.

Awww I actually have those penguin 🐧 salt and Pepper shakers they are so cute for Christmas love seeing what you find
Thank you for the information on the shirts!
I hope you didn't buy the blue glass vase. The top was not finished , if the top is cloudy and top is not finished. It is not good quality
Longaberger bread brick sells new for about $70
My mom had a whole wall of plates in the kitchen they were all state plates of a certain style and it was really pretty
I am not a reseller, but I too, always pick up and look at Sango products. They are often well designed, I agree, why are they not worth much?
I have a hard time asking people to do better on the price especially when the amount seems fair. I keep thinking of all the time they spend preparing, organizing, working it, and cleaning up at the end. I’ve got to push myself to politely ask as you so nicely do.
Same. I rarely ask for a deal because I feel like I'm insulting them, but that's why I am a very limited reseller, lol...
If you bundle items it seems to be easier to ask. I’m like you it’s hard for me to ask on one item.
My theory is that at the end of a sale it’s all going to be donated to a thrift store anyway. People don’t want to bring the stuff back inside once the sale is over. Here in the south, haggling is part of the yard sale game.
I liked the pottery coffee cup.
Oh mercy!! Those Robert Graham shirts 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
I have sold four of those exact goddinger plates before for good profit and in about 90 days. Much prettier in person.

I found in small community sales. Some folks only have a small amount or category of items. I m sure you will kick but next week Karen!!/😉
Hi, Karen! Went to your Ebay store and had a look at your clowder.

I want the cat casserole holder haha!!
You left the “beach” turquoise vase.
Karen, I saved your cleaning shoes/boots film and now it’s gone from my phone? I love it!! Can you forward?

I LOVE soup! 💜
YAY ! i have had like no yard sales around my area lately ive only been to 3..sucky ones at that

What’s your favorite hard goods location? Planning a birthday trip in a couple weeks towards Shillington.
I have old plates on my around a Picture, love my old dishes
Yes, you buy it
Fun finds!😃
A clowder - a group of cats lol
Your hard goods sections are larger than our entire Goodwill Stores. Very little hard goods - mostly just along part of a wall.
A collection of cats is called a clouder.
Stickers are put over brand because a few years ago someone sued gw. Don't know who, but that is why they cover the brand.

Careful with that pressure cooker it's missing the rubber gasket and I didn't see if the regulator was there. Someone could get seriously injured.
The booklet shows it’s all there 🤷♀️
Very slim pickings nowadays don’t worry people don’t give away good stuff too much. Hope I win the lottery soon lol

Nope, I don't think you'll buy the glass piece but I would
Did you buy thay blue round looking vase and did you sell already?
I didn’t 💜
