Thank you for setting a great example on how to be respectful of keeping order in the thrift stores. We spend quite a bit of time in our shop straightening up after customers leave items in odd places or on the floor. I notice that society seems to have lost respect for retail stores and create chaos which costs them more because of the labor needed to reorganize the store on a daily basis.
Hi Karen from Queensland Australia. I got my giggle for the day. I've never had a banana stand either 😂😂😂. Great video as usual. Along with Picker Road, and Thrifting Vegas you are my favorite. Nothing depressing and good information and humor. Val 🐨 💖
Hi, I’m also from Qld. Karen is by far my favourite. I’ve been enjoying watching Thrift for Decor too. He is always so positive. I’ll have to check out Picker Road. Lol, I’ve also never had a banana stand either!😅🍌🇦🇺🐨
GE Karen. Thank you again for taking us with you. I see you passed by the Hummel's. Sad that they were 'collectable" at one time, but not anymore unless they have a special mark on them. My mom collected them for years and when I worked, at a dept. store back in '73, making $,75 an hour, I would put one on layaway for her for Christmas. Have a nice rest of your night.
Great video, Karen! Thank you, as always, for taking us along with you. Your video is always the highlight of my Sundays (& Wednesdays!) & while I enjoy seeing Roger making an appearance, I certainly don’t expect him to be in every one of your videos, haha 😉😉😉
I'm fairly sure the brass and glass ceiling shade is made with the little gaps for air circulation. I had them in my hallway and they are pretty when the lights are on. That house was built in the 90's.
Another enjoyable Sunday virtually shopping with you. Thank you for showing the amethyst Pyrex dishes. Last year, I purchased two of the same bowls at Savers for my personal use. I loved the color. Wishing you and Roger a wonderful week.
i literally remember u buying all the things in your high profit part! The chicken painting that a woman really wanted, the miniature beautiful winter screne on slate at a yard sale or flea market, and that amazing Alfredo picture of the nude woman, i actually looked this up on your ebay and then googled the artist so i can print some of these and frame them for my home. I love the asthetic!
Right out of the gate at 0:25, looks like a bag of girl scout badges - to the right of the scalloped planter. I got good money for those on eBay in the past.
If you are looking for the really old Oil Lamps, the threads from the metal wick holder will be on the inside and the makers name or signage is on the knob the moves the wick.
In Poland under communism, girls my husband grew up with would make crafts out of the silver bubblegum wrappers and other items like that because they had limited supplies and options during that time. My husband is 44 for reference so this was not that long ago.
On the oil lamps you will find the makers name on the knob that raises the wick. Google the name. The pie crust top of the glass is worth more than just a smooth rim.
Thank you for taking the time to share your shopping experience. It's a big deal for you to concentrate on shopping, while filming. You are truly appreciated, and I thoroughly enjoyed!!!!❤❤🙏🏿🙏🏿👍🏿👍🏿
The little baby might just be thirsty or hungry. Poor baby! My eldest son made a wide mouth frog for my kitchen scrub pad, when he was in grade school! Wish I still had it! 😂
Karen , I still use all my fancy dishes and service ware , even for random birthdays and BBQ’s I just love getting a gussied up and bringing all my fancy flutes and plates and serving trays , my family thinks I’m crazy because I then have to wash it all afterwards 😫 but for me I just love it . I bought a large gazebo last summer and put a large dinning set underneath and often times will bring dinner outside and eat in the garden while sipping a glass of wine with all my thrifted treasures and say to my self … this is life😂😂😂😂 thanks for all the great vids
Yes, if you have the space in your booth, I would say get the cloche . Whether it’s meant to be a cloche doesn’t really matter, they are trending right now and people are using all types of clear glass to make their own.
Had one screaming at Goodwill today. Looked about a year old. Then they put the other two siblings in the cart and I finally had to leave and come back later. Couldn’t hear yourself think. Normally doesn’t bother me but it was over the top. Found good stuff on the second visit.
Hi Karen. Your videos are always so good. I have the bell wreath and love it. The ninja turtles were my favorite pick up. You always find fantastic treasures, and take time to talk about them. ❤ My husband collects oil lamps, he said he started as a child because of power outages. His grandmother gave him some on his birthdays. He still has them. We don't know much about them, other than they are beautiful and super fragile. Thanks for the fun shopping trip.
I would love to find a Goodwill that good. Ours are nothing at all. In fact, even the thrift stores that are privately owned are not good. It is so hard to find anything here!!!!... It is so fun to see all your goodies!
Hi Karen! ....This was such a good video!..... Loved all the inventory that kept coming out, cart after (cart after cart!😁)...so very fun!... you ened up with some fantastic finds!.... and, wow, the eye you have for unique and beautiful items is amazing...all of the old Christmas tree ornaments are like hitting the lottery and then Lisa finding an old silver Christmas tree in her garage???...Whaaaat?????........thank you for showing your sold items too and how much they sell for... Also, I love hearing your thought process and how you explain your reasons for keeping or leaving behind different items (aka- giving it some more thought lol😊)....It will be so nice seeing Lisa and her husband in October and visiting a brand new Goodwill is like icing on the cake!.....Karen, imho, your channel is the absolute best one as far as reselling is concerend....Always look forward to your next video, thanks so much for all you do! hugs and blessings 😊❤
I find your videos well done. I started watching your channel on a regular basis after the video you posted of your honeymoon in Jim Thorpe Pa. My neighbor moved away and settled in Lehighton Pa. He sent me a beautiful aerial drone tour of Jim Thorpe that captivated me. So it was “Omgosh” when I hear you say Jim Thorpe!
The target animal you thought was handmade is missing his antlers! Good job you didn’t get it. Looking lovely as always Karen. Take care darling and love to you and Roger xx
Love your videos Karen! Learned so much from you and Roger. The mercury glass candle holder was pretty. I have had excellent results removing wax from items by sticking in freezer for a few hours. It then pops right out.
put your candle holders with melted wax in them, in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Let the wax freeze and then it will pop right out with little or no scraping.
The oil lamps are handy when power goes out. Make sure the wick and wick wheel turns. And be careful turning them sideways because the shade can come off. I have several different ones. I have one that is pretty old. My neighbor was about 80 thirty-five years ago. I bought it at her yard sale and she said it was her mothers. I've seen one just like it on Bonanza, so I think maybe from late 1800s.
I have a large tramp art frame from the 20s. Very rough hewn small pieces of wood intricately put together. It’s a work of art created by someone who made something out of nothing.
wow bagged ornaments,, love those always,,, just ran across two bags of Mark Roberts vintage 1990s push up jesture, and other jesture satin lined ornaments as well a monkey type all sell for $40-85.00 each about $250-300 worth for $20 for 2 bags
I love creme brulee too, but have only had it once. Korea has excellent quality leather. Back in the late 80's early 90's; my brother was stationed there for two years when he was in the Army. He gifted my husband a gorgeous, long, heavy leather coat. I can't wait to see your shopping video when you go to visit your daughter. GREAT finds and sales as always!!
So many lovely items todayKaren, great haul! But oh my gosh, my heart sank when you said you and Roger were going to your daughters house in October! That’s when we forgot our trip to come up there and thrift in your area and top of our bucket list was hopefully to see you guys.I hope that our journeys will be on different dates. Fingers crossed.😂
To get wax out of a container, put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes and it will pop right out. The bell cloche (klosh - long O) is lovely. Why would you throw the pillow insert away? Couldn't you dry clean and steam it like the pillow cover?
what great things you found at this Goodwill ! You have a very good eye for quality items! I don’t know how you get so much done in such limited time. It’s amazing.
Karen, saw a couple wizard steins exactly like the one you showed us. One listed $199, one listed $89, solds: same but green cast $100 pkus $10 ship, same but light brown $50 w/free ship, Ivory color $45 plus $53 shipping. I think probable get $45 to $75 esp with Christmas coming 😉. Looks like “Vintage Gandalf” are keywords to this one.
My Goodwill only stocks shelves on Tuesday 😡 That’s it !!! They just let the shelves empty out during the week. I asked an employee why they didn’t bring more inventory out during the rest of the week to fill up the empty areas and she said the manager says that’s the only way they get the “crappy “ stuff sold😮🤯 so that is why it is so fun shopping along with you and getting to see all those carts coming out😁
We miss Roger. Just let him know; #2 thrifting day without him.😢😢 That baby had quite a pair of lungs on him, since we could hear him too.😮. Nice picking Karen ❤
With the kerosene lamps, the antique ones screw on from the inside, later ones screw on like you screw on the lid from a Mason jar.I have two antique lamps.
The brass letter / napkin holder reminds me of an art deco piece! I love watching your videos. I just got back from our Lakeland Goodwill - nothing great as usual.
Oil Lamps: I feel in general the value of oil lamps has declined considerably in the last few years, but I find some of the old Aladdin’s (especially with their boxes) still do well, as do some of the Aladdin specialty lamp shades for their oil lamps.
the Happy Halloween frame may have a collectible postcard. Can't tell from video. It looks like Ellen H. Clapsaddle's work but has no signature. Similar one on RubyLane for $45 selling price "Halloween Postcard Pumpkin Head Men Running Down the Road, Embossed 'My Greetings to Thee' Anthropomorphic" is the description ( just as you described !) Nice Find. It may just be a reprint for scrapbooking purposes but it's worth checking out. From a postcard collector...
I LOVE your chit chatting with us!

Thanks for watching Val!! 💜💜
Notice that the hook on these so-called 'banana hangers' is too small for bananas. 😂
Also from Qld and never had a banana stand. You’ve started something Val 😂
I had a banana stand a while ago. It seemed to help keep them fresher a tad longer.
Karen,
Those Vincent Van Gogh Sunflower Sneakers are $165 new.
They are adorable!
🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
I am shocked that Karen did not comp
Karen, I love your banter, it is everything! Love you and Roger!
U know...I wait to watch ur videos until I feel a bit stressed...u bring a sense of calm & and remind me hard work pays off...thanks Karen ❤
I'm so glad! 🥰
People purchase oil lamps to have on hand for emergencies.
I love shopping with you!
Thank you for all your time & effort.
Not so much anymore, due to the use of emergency battery powered lanterns, etc
Love the last part on the comps and what sold!
It is just a joy listening to you. So upbeat and pleasant. Still love your stories.
Thank you Jane!! 💜

The gold napkin holder is fairly recent and from ikea

Thank you soooo soooo much for not showing/recording little ones. I’m always amazed when people do .
I do try but sometimes it’s impossible
Another enjoyable Sunday virtually shopping with you. Thank you for showing the amethyst Pyrex dishes. Last year, I purchased two of the same bowls at Savers for my personal use. I loved the color. Wishing you and Roger a wonderful week.
I thought of you today as I dug through piles in search of coats to give out in my community,I so admire the work it takes

Good morning Karen. It’s always fun to follow all the shenanigans you get up to, no matter how you present it. Have a beautiful day 🙏❤️
I love a random video with all of your thoughts👍❤Your the best
Amazing deal on the Pyrex bowls
Hi Karen! I loved the Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Christmas Stockings... I'm a grandmother, and it is that time of year again!
Those Christmas stockings are beautiful!
Way to go Karen Pyrex $122 and it's my favorite color purple 🎊 congratulations 😊
I gave my son a vtg frog scrubby holder for his new apt, he and his roommates love it!😅

Interesting story! Praying our country never goes to that
@@paraleezappa9271anyone that supports him is an ignorant racist that votes against their own best interests.
Hi Karen and Roger, joining you from Jeffreysbay, South Africa. ❤
Another inspiring video, thank you. I love the way you shop, and how you explain things.💐
Good evening Karen, watching from Cape Town South Africa🇿🇦🙏.
How are things there?
Thank you for showing solds. I dont always get to look back
On the oil lamps you will find the makers name on the knob that raises the wick. Google the name. The pie crust top of the glass is worth more than just a smooth rim.
Thank you!
Fun trip, so many things!
Did you notice at 16:30 what appeared to be a Lucite Flower Clock..what a find!!!
Oh that clock is Everything Fab!
Wonderful as always! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much Kelly 💜
Love your top, looks beautiful on you!
Love the lighting fixture & the kerosene lamps, & also the vintage stockings, they're beautiful! Great video
The oil lamps are sometimes retrofitted with cords to make them electrical. I had one.
I had the glass lightshade in my dining room in the late 90's
great video! Those sneakers you passed up are Cariuma. They go for decent money. You don't find it often in thrift stores.
you were awesome girl! no worries! we all still love you and Roger!!!
Enjoyed! Thank you for sharing!
Karen. Your fine. 💕 just go for the gold and we will cheer you on 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
😘😘😘 thank you Grace!
Thank you for taking the time to share your shopping experience. It's a big deal for you to concentrate on shopping, while filming.

The little baby might just be thirsty or hungry. Poor baby! My eldest son made a wide mouth frog for my kitchen scrub pad, when he was in grade school! Wish I still had it! 😂
Take baby home now and tend to
Take us to your salon! Best hair color! I know it’s off topic.
Her daughter does her hair :). It’s beautiful, I know!
I am coloring my own roots 😂

I absolutely love this!! It’s so important to take time to do what you enjoy in life 💜👍
Love those Christmas stockings. Thanks for the video.

The ceramic snowman was a popular project in ceramic firing back in the late 60’s-70’s. I still have mine😁

Gorgeous Ornaments!
Great shopping time haul ❤
The Christmas stockings! 👍🏻👍🏻
Love your videos Karen! Learned so much from you and Roger. The mercury glass candle holder was pretty. I have had excellent results removing wax from items by sticking in freezer for a few hours. It then pops right out.
Love seeing those high profit flips! 🎉
put your candle holders with melted wax in them, in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Let the wax freeze and then it will pop right out with little or no scraping.
I did that once and the holder cracked 😟
exciting wow...the amethyst awwwwwwww
Whatever my mom got for her countertop she can’t sit bananas on it turns it brown! Lol she didn’t know that till she learned the hard way!
Wow purple Pyrex what a great find and a set of 3, GREAT!! I want that frog sponge holder!
Love the video ❤❤❤❤

The Creme Brûlée rabbit hole 😅 But yum! A lot of items to look through on this shopping trip. My favorites are the Christmas decor🎄
I love creme brûlée.....I had it every day on our last cruise !
I already commented but I forgot to tell you that a restaurant near me makes homemade chocolate Crème Brûlée. 🥰
💃💃😂 Yummm!!
fun finds!

The napkin holder you found is contemporary from Target.
Ikea?
I have that planter with the face. I use it for my hairbrushes. Adds a bit of whimsy to the bathroom. 🤪
To get wax out of a container, put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes and it will pop right out.
The bell cloche (klosh - long O) is lovely.
Why would you throw the pillow insert away? Couldn't you dry clean and steam it like the pillow cover?
Long o is the English pronunciation. Karen pronounced it the French way....
If you test your electrical items for the booth you can just write on it that it has been tested.
what great things you found at this Goodwill ! You have a very good eye for quality items! I don’t know how you get so much done in such limited time. It’s amazing.

The uneven glass lets the heat out from the lightbulbs
Love your video, I subscribed
We miss Roger. Just let him know; #2 thrifting day without him.😢😢

I don’t expect him to always make an appearance on my channel 💜

Love thrifting with you!!😊
When do you think you will be listing the Christmas stocking? They are beautiful!
As soon as possible probably in a week
Good morning!! ☀️

creme brulee us easy to make but you need one of the kitchen blow torches and I am way too cheap to buy on e
