My favorite song is Touch Me, but this list is overall not terribly far from mine. I would put The Mirror-Blue Night, All That's Known, and Totally F***** (sometimes youtube deletes my comments so I'm being safe) higher as well. DWSA Dark I Know Well especially is really powerful.

I don't know where I'd rank them, I know that unfortunately I'd put Dark I Know Well down the bottom near Word of Your Body. In an actual performance, it's great and an important song, but when I'm listening to the album I find myself skipping it. There's something about it that just makes me not care to listen to it. On the other side, I'd put Guilty Ones up in the top 5 probably. I just like how instead of dealing with solidified thoughts about something that is presently happening, it instead deals with looser, less connected thoughts and emotions about something that *has* happened, and also how Wendla and Melchior are coming to terms with what they've done. I think that it being in a Major key works, as while the song is very contemplative and thoughtful with its instrumentation, it's still upbeat enough to ease the audience into the second act before throwing them into the 2 punch combo of Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind and Left Behind Wild card: There Once Was a Pirate would be near the bottom. It was cut and replaced with Guilty Ones, and unlike Guilty Ones it's in a minor key and also doesn't stick with the thoughts theming of most songs and instead talks about what is going to happen to Melchior and Wendla once people find out what they've done - be outcast from their community. In theory it could work but in practice it's shrouded by too much metaphor to really click. It's somehow made it into the revival that happened in London last year, so maybe they fixed it and decided that it was better than Guilty Ones? It's got some lovely harmonies in it though so look it up.
