Just a heads-up, this guide was created a day before the latest balance patch dropped, but in the following video I will update the following questions and more; - How valuable will shirking heals be? What will it be replaced by IF there is better replacements - Will plagued crits be the third best perk instead of Keenly Jagged? - Is the monkey war meta on Nysa (EU server) dead? - Are there other weapon specs/builds that you are considering interchanging to? But for the high majority, the build is still 100% viable and subject to small changes going forward! Enjoy! The follow up video is out! Make sure to check it out here: ruclips.net/video/GsuTaXPKzBk/видео.html
It's much better than tumblers, 150 con Voidplate is just as tank as 200 con tumblers (with it proc'd), and you also do just as much damage or more, consistently without needing the tumblers procing empowerment!
Haha I'm glad you like it! I'm using the harvester hat and pants, "Scoundrel´s Fancy" shoes and gloves (twitch drop), and the stonecutting chest piece!
Hi Godot, thanks for the builds. I've been getting such success with your guides. With the patch right now, what do you think about the New Odo change? More damage for knocked down enemies
Do u think playing plague crits+leaping strike on sword and keenly Jagged on shield +keratin spear with rogue/pen.back stab+attunement will be new meta ? Since u re using sword with shield for setup and main dmg comes from spear ?
Will be posting a video most likely tomorrow to cover a lot of these questions and more! But in regards to sword and shield, you can definitely go for that approach, however it would still be more beneficial to go leaping strike perk on gear, while having damage perks on the sword, with jagged and shield rush on the shield!
Quality vid, keep these coming! As a healer in the dex/flex group , the enemy group usually consists of 3 sns spear/flail/gs 1 healer and 1 bow vg at the back who hits me when im cced. getting focused by 1 or 2 sns/spear, i struggle to survive or even cast a heal due to the cc. What have you found other healers do? Should i try stay on sacred, or use ig and take windchill, shower and tomb? Dunno if this is trolling :D
Are you still struggling with CC combos on this current patch? because they've added the ability to stagger roll freely once getting perma'd, with that being said I will be uploading a video in about 1 weeks time and it will cover some of these talking points, it will be regarding Flex groups and how effective they are, and how to effectively playing it in the macro aspect, this will include tips for healers too!
Still very good and extremely popular in EU, make sure to check out the secondary video which has some update changes: ruclips.net/video/GsuTaXPKzBk/видео.html&t I would also recommend utilizing one runeglass of energizing on the gear, which will provide you +1 stamina on the gear so that you can get one attack off in between your two dodges
Is spear or Rapier better pve dps? I keep hearing different answers, personally i find rapier to be crazy good with the Finisher relic but only if you do the combo and have enough bleed on target. I haven't tried a spear main build so im curious since they are both thrust damage.
As for pure DPS, Rapier is definitely better, however, you always need spear debuffs for dungeons. Spear is normally paired up with GS, Spear for debuffs and GS for damage, while the Rapier is normally paired up with IG or VG, purely for damage. Although there are some afflictions where Rapier isn't as effective, for example those with silence triggers (in this weeks rotation).
A question: all of your spear skills are ready, u just sweep someone. what would be your next hit? - Coup de grace - Skewer - Perforate (x2 should land)
Ooft I have a lot of different answers for this question, because there is never one correct way. 1. If the enemy is above 50% HP, you should sweep into perforate, because perforate applies additional rend when targets are above 50% HP, on top of that you also need to empower yourself by debuffing the enemy (exploited weakness) 2. If the enemy is close to 30% HP you should always coup de grace, because you will have the help to finish them off with merciless strength! (15% bonus damage) 3. You should never really skewer them with sweep unless they are with their backs turned and above 50% HP, while your perforate is on CD, to gain more exploited weakness and grant empowerment, most of the time you want to use skewer to gap close the distance they create after they utilize escape mechanics (burnout, flesche etc), however in duels and arenas utilizing skewer perk on gear/weapon, you should always look to apply enfeebling skewer whenever possible, as they are forced to trade you with weaken on them. With all of that being said, I interchange depending on other factors, and honestly there are too many of them depending on what game mode you play, but these would be some pretty good guidelines of when you should use certain abilities paired up with sweep
It's definitely good, if you prefer Cyclone playsty I would replace the third point of sweep, get strong conditioning and go for 2 points of cyclone and exacerbating crits. Sweep into cyclone is an amazing combo to utilize, you can also pair up with rending vines. One other thing you could do, is running leeching cyclone either on gear or weapon, great perk to have!
It's pretty tough to be honest, if they can gap close you without utilizing leaping strike, they will always be able to close the distance of burnout with it, FS paired up with Rapier (evade/flourish/flesche) is the best build to play against it if you main Firestaff, you will have two weapons that can create distance!
As explained in the video, I don't generally get too much aggro on my server, due to the fact that melees are instantly taking position to kill healers/ranged dps, it mostly stems due to melees not wanting to fight against other heavy melees, therefore you should min-max and go for more damage instead of defensive. Realistlcally though as a heavy voidplate user with a ton of fortifactions, tower shield is just overkill, but perhaps in some servers it might not be the case. As for SH nerf, I still think it's better than having additional health/conditioning perks, despite it being nerfed it will still provide more value in the longevity compared to the other two perks, especially because you are only running 150con on this build so the mitigation scaling for health and conditioning isn't great, I will be creating an update to this build in the next few days (short video) that will talk about my recommendations, for the meantime I wouldn't rush into anything, as SH + SF is still extremely good!
I wish magnify didn't suck so badly. You can only have 2 magnify to get 265 dex/200 str/150 con. Which means you can't run 3 artifacts. Can't run scorpion's sting or any artifact weapon...

NW:A viable? Is equip load meta different?
im curious too. Not many similar build videos out there
Subscribed! Question should I be taking enfeebling skewer on the spear for small scale PvP like arenas/OPR?
I wouldn't recommend in this patch no, but using it as a gear perk is for sure useful!
Are you using void darkplate because you claimed tumblers on other char? Or is it better than tumblers?
It's much better than tumblers, 150 con Voidplate is just as tank as 200 con tumblers (with it proc'd), and you also do just as much damage or more, consistently without needing the tumblers procing empowerment!

Is this the Death Note music?
Hey man what do you think of a spear with PvP back stab, trenchant crits for coup sweep and rolled a third with coup de grace bleed
Not great, I would just recommend using a two perker (attunement & penetrating backstab) as a worse case scenario
@@GodotNW hey bro sorry for the late reply, I rolled bleeding coup but what’s considered bis for the spear?

Thank you!
I’m building this right now, but wondering if SH is still the goto post nerf or should I be look for a different 3rd perk
