- In todays video, we will open 2 Jelly Rolls. I will probably just sew strips together and create strip sets and then sew those sets together creating a tube and use my strip tube ruler to make some diagonal strip sets. I may or may not change my mind haha... I did however choose the Jelly Rolls so that is a start...

This not any disrespect but the sewing machine sewing is very smoothing to my brain. I have to watch your videos twice! The first time i watch you at night it puts me to sleep because of the soothing part. It also masks the massive ringing in my ears. I consider the sewing machine as white noise. Then I watch during the day to actually watch the whole thing.
Lots of people say the machine is soothing enough to sleep 😊
I thought I was the only one that found the sound of the sewing machine soothing to my nerves.
Oh! I love the flag you've made hanging on the wall behind you. I want to make one now! I have to save up the right colors though. I don't buy cloth for my quilting, I use what I can find, discarded clothes, or dressmaking scraps, etc. . - He's not weird, he's a cat.

Wash away stabilizer is fantastic for string piecing. I agree about muslin or sheets making everything heavy. I wasn’t a fan and I hate tearing paper lol I buy 25 yard rolls for around $20. Bonus is that it has a dual purpose for embroidery.

Yep, hate when that happens with the bobbin thread, either that or bobbin thread runs out about an inch from the end!
Cats & dogs remove the hair between their paws because it can cause deformities and it can cause pain so they pull it out. ❤
He pulls it out the top and bottom and in-between the paws. I keep his pads clear all year around but he always yanks that hair and his belly hair he likes to chew down to the skin. He is weird.

love your channel and watch all your videos. That said, the noise from your machine….well have you ever looked into free software to cancel noise except for talking? And Iron Man needs his own wireless mike! You guys are a hoot but can’t always hear Scotty. Love your artistry, Tiff.
I run lives through a cell phone, it suposta have built in noise suppression. I'm saving up for new cameras and mics for the future. As far as Scott, he don't want to be heard, that's why I try to repeat the questions from the chat.

QUESTION...I've been sewing charm squares and jelly roll strips and the fabric dust has been bad and my thread cutter started lagging. I've cleaned my machine (no I didn't take it completely apart to clean) and oiled it and it's helped some but the cutter still lags, any suggestions on how to get my cutter back to normal?? Oh, I've the the same machine you do, the Juki TL 2010Q.
Does it lag from the pedal push or when you push the button or both?
@@TiffanysQuiltingLife Pedal push, I haven't tried the button, forgot it was there actually LOL
Try the button, if it doesn't lag then it's the pedal connection. If it does then the cutter may need cleaned and oiled

So it's the foot connection. You may need a new pedal if you wanna keep using it that way. I always forget about the bottom 😆

What is a basic stitch length?
I consider 2.0 to 2.4 basic on most machines.
