I could just picture this in a black background with bright colored fabrics!
That was my original idea was a black with Bright Batiks for the butterflies 🦋 it would have been great! I may have to do it again that way 😄

Downloaded the pattern last night. Remembered you talking about pressing, saw that also that there was no pressing instructions. There is a sentence that says press seam open. So they must press all seams open. Not how I was taught about quilting. Taught to press seams open when making clothing.
Absolutely love the pattern. Looking forward to finding material to make it.
Ya I don't press open anything unless it's my tiny piecing. Most is pressed to the dark. So just press where all combinations are opposite of the previous connection block

I agree about the Country Classics fabric, I won't ever use it again due the fraying and just plain poor quality. I enjoyed your little sewing songs. The backpack turned out great!

I have t been here for a few days and hope you are ok.I lost my sister on Jan.29 and I’m having the worst time dealing with it.She was my best friend and I don’t know how I will live without her.
I know how loss affects being around. When my son died on Easter I never thought I would be back to creating. I am doing my best to keep my sanity. I just have to keep from getting sad while making videos.

Can you tell me your opinion on why you prefer the straight stitch only machine as a posed to others please?
I like the speed, I like not having to worry about electronics go out or not working. I like that it's a single hole so it's small and doesn't suck in the fabric corners. It's just simple and basic. I love my other machines, too, but definitely have to hit buttons and choose options before I can even sew. With the straight stitch you turn on and sew no hassle 😉

Do you pre starch your fabric? It seems to cut so easily.
Nope I don't starch. I just pressed it all with spritz of water cause it had some tough folds. It helps to have a good blade in the cutter and flat fabric 😊
