Shorts are so hard to do, but you pulled it off. Great concept and story, a cool costume, tasty color, solid cinematography, believable foley, good Aperture lightening :) and great eye lights. Why do people forget about eye lights? As a colorist, I hate it when I get dead eyes. Would be nice to see a BTS lighting breakdown in the future (hint).
How does this not have more views? The cinematography is absolutely stunning and inspiring. Good on you and I am excited to see more from you, keep it up !

wow, love this! Off the bat... that beautifully slow push-in during the opening scene in the car (didnt notice it until the 2nd watch) pulled me right in! The storm/rain scene was very believable, loved the lightning through the bathroom window (perfect with the sfx) to light up the area briefly , let me guess... Falcon Eyes F7? The colour throughout is amazing! And the handheld as your struggling to get the umbrella to cover/protect the flower was perfect... not too crazy, just perfect to show the urgency with still being able to make out the scene nicely. Oh, and of course, the story itself. So, yeah, love this!
This was good because of your lighting techniques and some of your camera movements were awesome. the story however wasn't developed properly for us to get in it. I didnt feel your loss or even a connection to warrant such an extreme reaction. The character development allows us to feel something, good or bad. Still very impressive. your hard work and effort is applauded!
At 03:05 you can a woman in the window… :) Spencer, THIS IS AWESOME! The story got me really hooked and the cinematography was stunning. I really enjoyed it.
Awesome job Spenser! I really enjoyed it. Would it be possible to get a version on Vimeo or anywhere else with a better compression? It was a bit noticeable on the 30 first seconds of the short. Cheers!
Wow Spenser, this is great! Loved the subtle sci-fi. My only issue was the sound mix when you were buying the seed at the begging, really hard to hear your characters voices. The rapid cutting between the brother in law and you and your girl at the end was phenomenal! Great short, look forward to a breakdown. Cheers!
Well done. Great effort and nice hard cuts betweens scenes. I personally think the rain soundeffect was too loud out of balance ...dialoog in the rain wasn't easy to follow.
Hey Spenser, many comments praise the cinematography - and I agree - but what is significant is that you managed to create the atmosphere and suspense. It was actually interesting to watch. You could develop something similar to a feature-length. I also must mention that your and Amanda's acting is quite good - you both have the screen presence and make believable characters. The only creative criticism I have is that I would maybe adjust voice acting to be less "casual" to match the overall vibe of the story. Keep up the great work!
Great film! I really enjoyed it. My pea brain is still noodling the story in a good way. At first I was thinking he killed his wife but maybe she just died. Will definitely need to watch it again. Visually I was really impressed with the storm scene. Im excited to watch your how to make first short. Again, well done and looking forward to the next one.
How does the szenes not rustle with the low light? I have also an BM6KP but if I don’t have enough light, the material looks not good at all. :( could somebody help me?
Hi spenser. I would love to show u my short film. Is there any way we can do paid videocall? For some feedback . I would love to get your advice on some things . Much love
Awesome cinematography and unique lil story, my only gripe i guess, is unless we just werent really supposed to hear what you told the guy in the car in the rain, then i guess id call that just the difficulties of sound work in rain. Overall though it was really solid! And for anything to have only one single negative if it wasnt just a creative choice, id say thats a good thing! Lol
Love all the shots, sound design and color! What equipment did you use to stabilize most of your shots? And how did you protect your camera in the rain? Thanks!
great job on the color. that's honestly what stood out most to me. the story was kinda confusing though

I loved many things in this short, just couldnt get the story and hooked overall !
Goodjob and keep it up!
Nice stuff! It'd be great if more youtubers in the "film" niche actually made films and put them up like you did here. Major props Spenser
What speed booster to use for a 18-35 on a 6k pro?
I just love that you used Makeup and Vanity Set music!!

This is so underrated, what a great job!!!! So professional
Epic. I’d expect good cinematography, but the plot certainly had my attention from the start too. Great effort from all involved 👏
best part of this film is that FADE tho SHEEEEEEEEEEEESH
Dope Spenser!!! Enjoyed it thoroughly and can't wait for more to come! Keep up the great work man.
Hey man!! This was awesome. This looks great!!!!
Fantastic work. Some of the best I've seen shot with the Pocket 6K. This film shows the potential of the camera when in the right hands.
Very nice job Spenser!! The mood of the shot at 3:24 gave me a Roger Deakins "Prisoners" feel 😉
Great job with the short! And kudos on your skill to capture in low light! 💪

I can see that you love Arrival- there's a subtle nod to it but by no means does it overreach to copying. Beautiful ❤️
