Another great video Kaden! I never been to Colorado, but what you've shown on your trip has looked great.👍 The scenery alone is fantastic and the quaint little towns you visit are so nice. The taco's you two ate looked so good 😋 plus I liked the names of the BBQ hot sauces pretty funny. 🤣🤣 Really enjoying the Colorado trip segments...give us something to look forward to. I'm guessing this was your family vacation from your jobs? Great choice! Until next week.... may you and Carly, plus Rio 🦮 have a wonderful week and try and stay cool!! 😎
Thank you so much! It was a great time out there, and yes you are right. This is our once a year summer trip where we take off for over a week from work to roadtrip and explore new areas of the country! We are definitely missing these temps now that Vegas is going crazy in these triple digit teens lol! Stay cool as well, thanks for watching Phyllis!!
@@Kadenventures I'll try Vegas hit a record high of 120° on Sunday, and Henderson were I live hit 118°.....so you're lucky your missing this awful heat wave!!! 🥵🥵🥵 Stay cool 😎
Love these videos, the camp sites are just awesome. After watching these videos, I would really love to visit these places. Now only if I had a truck camper 😆
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them! There were some people at the hot springs that were camping in their vehicle so you definitely dont need a full on truck camper to go and most of the campgrounds are also tent friendly :) Thanks for watching!
Another nice video, I just got back from my trip there, and I had to cut it short by 2 days. I smashed my fuel tank, trying to get to Engineer Pass. The only part I haven't armored yet😢. FYI, Black Bear Pass is a one-way, and it drops into Telluride. You hop on it halfway between Ouray and Silverton. I will be returning up there again.
Darn! That sucks about the fuel tank, did you have to get towed out?? Good to know about Black bear i thought that was a 2 way road, maybe i'll do it one day. Its a great location so this will not be our last! Thanks for watching!
@Kadenventures I drove it off the mountain, I don't think I damaged it. I saw a big dent in the skid plate, keep smelling fuel, and thought I saw a leak. After I got home I took the skid plate off and no leak or damage, I still smell fuel sometimes so I'm not sure what's causing the smell. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens.
Wow nice camp spot. I love desert camping because it seems more “Open” which probably isn’t the best word for it. However in the Colorado high country the forest smells are terrific. And hot breakfast coffee in crisp morning mountain air is better than Starbucks. Be safe, enjoy the trip and I’m sure glad to be along for the ride.
We say that the same thing about camping in the desert! lol it sounds odd but its true, the places you can camp in the desert are open "wide open spaces" may sound a bit more wild west to describe it but we love it. And we also love camping amonst the trees! Fresh mountain air, smell of the trees, moos in the distance lol! Happy to have you along for the ride! Thanks for watching JW!
Right! haha I was trying to keep my gear load light (trying) lol your not wrong man I was definitely feeling it by the end, that was my fault though with the way I planned it out we were go go go, i'll be planning a bit differently for trips like this in the future lol Thanks for watching Jay!
Great trip. Was there at that KOA last September. Was only planning two nights but stayed five. We did Engineer Pass but didn't complete the Alpine Loop back on Cinnamon Pass due to time. Wanted to do the famous Black Bear Pass but didn't have the walnuts to try. Also lost some hearing in my right ear on Engineer Pass because due to my wife. 🤣. I have a stock Taco TRD Off Road that can probably make it but didn't want to test it or my off road driving skills, or complete loss of hearing. I'll wait until you do it first before I give it a try. We boondocked at Valley of Gods on the way back and that was amazing as well.
lol!! I havent heard of Engineer pass until a few comments on this video, I knew about black bear though so ill have to check out Engineer pass to what the hype is about! lol maybe we'll try it next time we are out there. Valley of the Gods would have been awesome to disperse camp out there! Thanks for watching Jim!
@@turkeyneck247 Oh nice! I didnt realize it was that h igh in elevation, thanks for the info! I'll definitely check it out before the snow hits, Cheers!
Awesome such a great addition to camp for an additional living room area and the wifey loves it bec it gets her away from the bugs hahah highly recommend it! Thanks for watching!
lol! I felt that when I first started getting into it hahah I've been fly fishing for a while now though and its a blast once you get a fish on, it just depends on what waters i'm fishing and whats being targeted! Its not as hard as you think but you need river or streams to make the most of it , i dont fly fish on lakes. Thanks for watching!
Always drink crappy beer out of the can😂 Either way, nice video!
I usually do as well lol! Thanks for watching Rey!

I did that same trip and route several years ago and a great adventure
So much fun! We will definitely be back to the area, we loved it! Thanks for watching!

Watching that ax hit the ground was painful

Ain't been in here for a bit. Your camera skills have become cinematographer quality.👍
I appreciate that! I try to capture things as best as I can without taking away from our own experience. Thanks for watching!!
Cool , I want to go to Colorado. Can't beat a cow for a neighbor
lol right?? we did get some whiffs of cow patties but it wasnt bad, the wind kept the scent moving haha

You should check out Kolob reservoir in Utah near Zion
I actually drove by Kolob last week while we were in the Dixie National Forest, didnt stop in but I will in the fall! Thanks for watching!
@@Kadenventures Colab reservoir sits at 8400 foot elevation so in case you plan on camping in the snow, check the weather ahead of time

Hey, how do you like your popup bug screen tent?
Awesome such a great addition to camp for an additional living room area and the wifey loves it bec it gets her away from the bugs hahah highly recommend it! Thanks for watching!
How are you liking the ground mat? Looks light weight and durable. Would you buy again?
Your talking about the rug we put down at camp? We love it, makes camp a bit more comfy!
What percent were "optional" in the hot springs?
lol it was pretty high i'd say about 70/80 percent
You fly rod guys think you're better than everyone 😂🤣
Joking aside, its a skill I've always wanted to obtain.
