A pleasant trip for sure :) I was watching the marinade and then you said 12 hours and I was instantly NOoooo because Bromelain is pretty powerful stuff. Old animals, work animals, heavy use muscle groups, game, escargot and octopus all benefit from a short marinade with pineapple like 30 mins to an hour. For the dish you did here, leave the pineapple out and just add when you skewer :) everything else can stay the same :)
Good to know, Thank you! We plan on trying this again without adding the pineapple to the marinade, we will redeem this meal!! lol Thanks for watching!
Hey Kaden 👋 your Colorado trip did not disappoint. Love the stop at four corners, having to wait a turn to take a picture and say ..."was that worth $8 a piece for this?" Lol 😆 both of your campsites were cool. One with all the furnishings provided to you with everything you need, shiuld you have forgotten something! The other with such a beautiful place, with a creek nearby and all the pine trees. Loved the scene were you sat down to eat you chicken kabobs. That face you made was priceless! 😆 Live and learn 🥴 thats how we perfect things. Regardless your trip was still awesome.👍 Only one thing you forgot to take.....ME 😁 Lol 😂 Now can't wait to see the rest of this trip in the next installment video! Happy trails to you and your family, and have a great week....try and stay cool. I know we're going to have a unbearable heat wave coming up this week! I reside in Henderson and its HOT!! 🥵 Take care Kaden ✌️
Thanks so much Phyllis! Happy to hear you enjoyed it, We definitely lucked out on these campsites, great finds! Haha we will definitely learn from those pineapple Kababs 🤪 thanks for watching!
I'm new to your channel and I wanted to start by telling you those are winter sheets if you're staying in hot [places you'd really enjoy thinner sheets better they make a big difference in staying cool 👍🏽 just a suggestion and I'm really enjoying watching you guys 😊
Yeah these new sheets are definitely thicker and best for winter, unfortunately these are the only sheet options that would fit over these 1" foam inserts (Overland Softgoods only sell the 1 type of sheets for their foam inserts). Appreciate the suggestion though and Thanks for watching Harold!
Another amazing trip! As a new W. Henderson resident, I really enjoy your trips with lots of local places and mid/long distance trips. Really helpful. My list is growing. LOL Thank you.
This channel shines on the longer trips. Happy your both out there living it up. The private campground with the communal kitchen twas cool. Reminds me of Iceland staying at the hostels. The downtown hostel has a separate building and travelers would cook meals together if they do desired serving it on a large dinning table. Great way to meet and bond with other nomadic peoples.
Yay! I was waiting for your post. Alohas from CA’s Inland Empire 🤙🏽 That marinade may have worked but the acidity from the pineapple might’ve tenderized it too much. Haven’t tried the Buldak looks spicy, my go to for noodles is the Tonkotsu 😊
Wow I'm surprised your bluetti ac180 fits down below in the back seat there. My Fiance is 5'2" and sits pretty far forward and it is a squeeze to fit mine in my Colorado.
wow maybe the cab of the Frontier is a bit bigger? which is surprising lol I always thought it was pretty small but yeah the battery definitely fits with some room around it, my wife is also 5'2 lol
Jealous of u bro. Hehe, been wanting to hit the four corners thing and go to Colorado for a while. Looks like a great trip glad your having a good time. Keep up the good videos. Really enjoy them
Nice, been waiting on your Colorado videos when you said you guys were heading there. I myself will also be in that same area 4th of July weekend, but I'm going off the beaten path. I should be in Telluride Friday, but I'm taking Imogene pass over to Ouray and down to Silverton to hop on the Alpine Loop for a couple of days. That hotel you guys stayed in looked nicer than some of the Vegas hotels we got here! 😂 LOL. Looking fwd till your next video.
Nice!! This area was awesome, we will definitely be back to do more dispersed camping next time now that we are more familiar with the area. lol! No doubt this hotel was way bigger and nicer than most vegas hotel rooms haha
It went pretty smoothly actually! I wasn’t looking forward to such a long drive day but honestly it flew by lol had a few good podcasts on and the scenery changes made the drive feel quick, we would do it again 👌🏽
I forgot to mention that! Bec it was Friday night (and there weren’t a lot of dog friendly options available) it wasn’t the cheapest, I think we paid about $270 including the dog, the dog was a non refundable $70 extra😅 but it was a great room and central to town with the hit tub and sauna, we’d definitely stay again 👌🏽 thanks for watching Dane!
Yea.. We’ve used some pineapple juice to marinate some chicken thighs before but this recipe definitely calls for thicker meat, it killed these tenders haha thanks for watching!
Dang! When Marine hubby (RIP💔💔) and I did 4 corners- more than once- it was FREE!! And no concessions!??? And we camped on BLM land next to Anasazi ruins
Sorry for your loss. They’ve definitely made it more of a tourist stop along the way but for the price we were scratching out heads after lol that sounds like it was a great dispersed campsite 👌🏽🏕️ thanks for watching!
And, kinda looks like you’re doing ALL the work while your partner chills, looks on. We were a partnership- I worked my ass off to help on trips. It’s a LOT of work 4 just 1 person doing ALL the work. Really not cool lady - this is so disturbing- I would NEVER treat my significant other that way! Reading an fing book while you’re working your ass off setting up?? Done. Not watching anymore. Help out gal! Get off your rear!!
My wife does help out and asks a lot if there’s anything I need, with our setup its not a big deal for me, it’s easy and doesn’t take long. She also doesn’t like being on camera so that’s why you may not see her doing things on camera

Your a beautiful couple. Thank you for the adventure.👍🏼
Thanks so much Pauline! Appreciate it!
I've been going through a lot. You guys help me escape my reality for a few mins. Thank you.
Sorry to hear that but glad to hear these videos help, even for just a little bit. Hope everything turns around, keep on keeping on

We love tonkotsu noods! Haha I think we may just marinated the chicken too long it was a thin cut. Thanks for watching!

Carbonara Buldak in the Pink package is the best. 10/10
So good! One of my favorite flavors thus far 👌🏽
If you go up to telluride & wanna experience eats there, there’s lots of great places, but baked in telluride is the best!
Your content is awesome man. Thanks for the escape.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching JP 🤙🏽

Thanks man! It was a great first trip into southern CO! Thanks for watching David!
If you are tired of fussing with air pillows you should snag a couple hest pillows.
Careful though, they are a gateway drug to more hest gear
I’ve heard really good things about Hest! That may be a future upgrade lol thanks for watching!

And I learned to make my own Indian fry bread on campfire. It was always requested when we went on our adventures
Yum! That sounds delicious, I may need to try my hand at that one day!
All right good on ya Carly smoke it up
Haha thanks for watching Jim! 🤙🏽
4:19 so was it a long, long drive day? or did it go pretty smoothly? any which way is a GOOD brew time
It went pretty smoothly actually! I wasn’t looking forward to such a long drive day but honestly it flew by lol had a few good podcasts on and the scenery changes made the drive feel quick, we would do it again 👌🏽
I love pineapper!
Sameee!
Cool video.
Thanks for watching Mike!
Looks like great times, curious how much was the hotel a night in telluride?
I forgot to mention that! Pineapple is a meat tenderizer, it will breaks down the meats.
Yea.. We’ve used some pineapple juice to marinate some chicken thighs before but this recipe definitely calls for thicker meat, it killed these tenders haha thanks for watching!
You gettin the pro upgrade for the GFC?
Not sure yet!
What breed of a dog is that?
Mut
She’s a mutt! we adopted her from a village in Alaska
You guys for got to pick me up
lol whoops! Thanks for watching!
@@Kadenventures 😂
Unfortunately the pineapple juice breaks down the meat and if marinated too long it will get mushy. It's a tenderizer
Yea for sure that’s what we figured, lol lessons learned for next time! Thanks for watching
Subscriber request... a joint venture video with another Nissan Frontier driver, Donald from softroadingthewest.
For sure! I'd love to do that and check out Donald's setup, I watched his build series for his frontier, great ideas!
noice
Thanks for watching!
Maybe you marinated the chicken too long.
Yea I think so or that pineapple juice killed the chicken, the chicken was just too thin to be marinated for that long lol thanks for watching!
Dang! When Marine hubby (RIP💔💔) and I did 4 corners- more than once- it was FREE!! And no concessions!??? And we camped on BLM land next to Anasazi ruins

Don’t marinate anything with pineapple. It breaks down the meat too much. Better to eat it with a pineapple salsa.
Thanks! Yea we will never use this recipe again lol thanks for watching Warren!
Mukanya kayak orng indonesia😅😅😅
Thanks for watching!
Thought of this scene when you were eating the chicken 🤣😂

There is a lot behind the scenes that the camera doesnt capture
When are you guys going to have kids?
what an weird, unwelcomed question.
Not sure, we’re on the fence about it
