The place where the city is located has been called Almaty since ancient times, which means "A place abounding in apples or apple trees." When the Russian Empire came here, they founded a city here called Verny, which translates as Loyal. After the October Revolution, the communists renamed the city to Alma-Ata, which roughly translates as Grandfather of Apples or Father Apple or Father of Apples. It was a beautiful name, but after the collapse of the USSR, the city was called Almaty for some reason. All in all, it's a bit of a confusing story.

Hey Daud ! Salaam from Pakistan and kindly please answer if you'r muslim why you are consuming horse meat as it is makruh, and finally are you fond of it or you are eating just for fun, please answer, thanks.
People wandering why anyone would eat horse meat never stop to amaze me. Horse meat is a lot better than cow or pig or lamb. Horse only eats certain grass and is very choosy especially vs the pigs which would eat anything including their own offspring. Horses are clean, they wouldn’t be laying in mud and dung, etc etc. Horse meat is light , contains a lot less fat, and a lot more minerals and nutrients, especially considering that horses graze on open natural pastures and aren’t normally raised for meat in squalid dirty industrial scale shelters like many other meat animals are. The main reason for the horse not considered a meat source I think is a relative scarcity of horses and that it’s considered by sedentary peoples to have a better value as a transport and a plow pulling animal, so it’s a kinda machinery of pre-industrial age. But for traditionally nomadic people with abundant horse pastures it’s surely different.
During the time of Imam e Azam Abu Hanifa when horses were the main animal used in jihad he restricted it's consumption, now we can eat it, and it's Halal.
We do not eat horses, that we use for transportation. And our land is 80% steppe landscape, which is the best land for horses to habitate, because steppe is a natural areal for habitance for them. Of course, we got used to eat horse meat, since it is very cheap and easy to hold horses in steppes.
very sorry, why i wroat about horse meat story, this is true habit of my life which any meet or fish any chiken's eggs i don't appriciate , any an animals meets I am a vejiterian! so any way, your coments and critycal story about the Horse, nice human's touching
Davud, I really enjoyed being subscribed previously, you wouldn't ride an elephant, good on ya for that, but horses like dogs weren't meant to be eaten, so thtats why I haven't watched since, just a heads up.
It was very difficult for me to read that the menu included horse meat as an edible dish. At the moment I am not speaking from a religious point of view but from other points of view. The horse can definitely be a "good friend" to a person. The horse is a noble, majestic animal, an animal that helps children with mental disabilities above and beyond what is expected with amazing results. Not to mention an animal that man relied on for physical labor and also in times of war. This is my opinion and there is no need to argue with me, a horse is an animal I love very much. I would immediately get up and leave a restaurant like this that has a horse menu - there are other restaurants nearby. Sorry to those who find it "stupid" but this is my opinion and this is my world.
@@maxh7637 I certainly understand and accept different ways of life, different cultures, different traditions. On the contrary, I love and embrace and also try to make contact with people who have a different background than me. I personally find it hard to accept the thought of slaughtering a horse for food.
