That's the nature of pop music. You don't have to be talented, just marketable. Britney Spears is the prime example and the reason that lip syncing is so normalized in modern pop music. Ariana is one of the few popstars that actually has talent.

to be fair, ariana’s vocals are like soo soo legendary, a lot of environments make it hard for singers to hear themselves, choreography can ruin breath support and make you flat or sharp, nerves are really difficult to ease but integral to breath as well. i get your point but we can’t all be ariana grandes, and some people wanna focus on dance or other performance things during their show
She really does have one of the most incredible voices of our generation. Her ability never ceases to amaze me.

The vast majority of her performances have been live. I think I've only ever seen one that was obviously not sung live (well, most of it anyway).
It is really common for pop artists, who are also expected to do choreography while singing, to rely on backing tracks if not lip sync totally for televised performances. That's been going on for decades now, and it amazes me that people still seem shocked by it.
But she is singing live in this ❤️ it’s amazing how she can make the original with auto tune sound better live thats why people r so surprised cause not many artist can do this.
