    Cv boot clamp tool for the metal cable ties, never done it but wetting the wrapping material is sposed to be good to stop the fibre glass itchyness, that carbon bonnet looks sweet

    Thoes stainless ties are always like that. I usually put them on, cut the tie down to leave about 1 cm, then with long nose pliers roll it back on itself and this really tightens it, then tap it with a small toffee hammer and flatten it.

      I was told that the boot clamp tightening tool is good for doing them properly. I’ll get a set and give it a try with them. See if it makes any difference 😅

    Did you put a fuse in the engine bay? If so, what model/size and amps?

    • @TheGCJourney
      @TheGCJourney  5 месяцев назад +1

      The battery feed goes through the factory main fuse that the alternator was originally connected to.

    Just a note. If you have a wagon and relocate battery to trunk, this is considered in the car and battery box must be sealed and vented outside. I dosent matter what battery you have, even if its a sealed battery ìt won't pass an English M.Ò.T. as someone may change the battery for a vented one and not realise.
