Good to see content creators giving other ones their flowers and youve got a great channel here as well! I personally most admire/watch those doing their builds with passion regardless of the editing or vehicle type. Not just pumping out builds for views or to look cool and then selling them due to lack of attachment. Obviously a well edited video is easier on the eye and the vast majority probably care more about that and less about the passion behind it, but to me, its important. Keep us updated on your gc's journey. I look forward to it!
@@traviscea I agree! Seeing someone do something out of love and passion is always more relatable! Updates on the GC coming soon as well! 😉
Nope number one is M539 Restorations. Smeedia talks too much shit.

@@brzd86 Dude!! I just had a look and that 240Z looks mad! I will now have more videos to watch! Thanks! 😍🙏
@@TheGCJourney all good mate, glad you liked it
Agree with all of your choices, but one that I really think should have made the list is @SarahnTuned . 100% my favourite youtube page.
I’ve heard the name but never watched any videos. If you say the channel should be in the list then I will definitely check it out! Thanks!
I would include: Home built by Jeff Throtl Gears and Gasoline _Baderbuilt (for Subaru content) Buck yeah (Bucky Lasek chanel, lots of Subaru content. If you never seen his GC transformation, it's a must) Tavarish Jack Builds it Stanceworks (that new crazy F40 build!!!!) and a local Portuguese channel "Sobrerodaspt" :)
I admit that you named a few that I have not seen yet but Bucky definitely has a special place in my heart! Love his build!!
@@TheGCJourney Stanceworks and Jack Builds it have great content. Stanceworkds has done plenty of projects. Ferrari 388 with K24 Honda Engine and is now doing an F40 from scratch, basically. Jack Builds it, has built an Evo to Sema quality but functional, and is now building a Supra that was so bad that it was probably going to be crushed on a junk yard!
@ Sounds interesting! I’ll check them out!
Appreciate the support Itamar! Definitely a ton of good channels out there. And I’ll def take the bonus points for the Subaru stuff 😅
@@Smeedia Love your stuff mate 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
We are waiting for the 22B replica... :p

The biggest change to handling will come with sway bars. I had an SG9 forester with upgraded sway bars front and rear. The thing had go-cart like handling in the corners, it stayed dead flat, AND it didnt ride any harsher or bumpier than factory. Worth every penny.
Sway bars definitely make a big difference!
Just take the old roof, put some release agent on it, lay 2 or 3 layers of carbon and epoxy on it, cut off the excess and boom! Carbon roof!
@@jeffreymoffitt4070 Carbon roof has been made since this video. Not sure what use it will be though 😅😅😅
It is jdm or usdm gearbox ?
JDM short ration gearbox (3.9 final drive)
@ Okay thank you very much the back bridge is in 3.9 too or in 3.54? Would you have the reference of the box please?
@ Sorry, I’m not quite sure what you mean. The gearbox final drive and rear diff are both 3.9 (If that’s your question)
maybe try and take the torque solution adapter to a lathe and take some material off so the "male" flange will fit :) I'd try it before looking for another adapter also, please sell me the 8 PSI Tial spring haha
@@talcohen57 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Try OEM GD radiator hoses. No matter how well-intentioned (and made) aftermarket parts are, they will never have the superior fitment of OEM ones.
I agree that in the end nothing beats OEM parts. They will always fit the best. I was thinking maybe I should have replaced the coolant manifold too. It might make things fit better as well.
I vote for a build breakdown video! 😅

I'm very curious on the 3 point Kein rear brace. This one, I honestly didnt notice sny difference. On a wagon this makes a difference, but the sedan has already all the speaker shelf wich i guess it kind of makes the same effect. The BOV.. i know so many cars that have that blanked and never had an issue with the turbo.
@@PedroFTeixeira Yes, I’ve also heard that shouldn’t be an issue but after inspecting everything else I don’t know what else could have caused it. Oil feed, oil drain, oil pressure, all was good. 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

Hey! Have you notice any difference in handling with the strut bar installed in the rear? Thanks for reply
@@JustZsolti Haven’t really had a chance to test it properly so can’t really say yet.
I run the 3point Cusco rear brace on my GM8 STI and i felt that it made a difference with chassis stiffness.
@@chrisweir1097 Does the 3 point brace require drilling?
Yes drill holes and nutsert into floor of boot.

Instead of wasting money on some daft 'look-at-me' shifter for a glass 5speed, the money should of been put towards an STi 6speed
@@S72MAD_faceless In this specific case the gearbox is a PPG dog box so it is built to take a lot of abuse but generally I would agree. In my opinion you either stay stock shifter or go sequential 😎😎😎

Seeing your turbo with two v-band clamps makes me laugh hearing you say it's a pain in the *ss. This weekend I've been cursing (almost throwing wrenches) because of the studs in the triangular shaped uppipe. Anyways, nice modification, looks killer! Might catch you at the nordschleife again in the future😉💪🏼
@@robind.3651 The turbo clamps are a breeze to fit! I had a problem with the wastegate v-band clamps which for some reason are total shit to fit. I hope we meet again! I love your Foz!
I have learned/ been recommended small camber -1.5 all around and ive learned to keep the car as high as possible for practical reasons. Too low requires different ball joints and tie rods ideally custom knuckles.
@@ThatGuy-xd5fs For street use you are probably right! I went with a more track focused setup hence the slightly more aggressive height and alignment.

@@M_arias They are all supposed to function the same. You just need an available output in the ECU.

Tein are already great, let's see how FA compare with the Tein. Regarding the corner balance I would double check that rear. If the Rear right is just a couple of milimeters lower than the left, you can raise it (5mm can make a difference) and the weight might be more balanced. Your camber specs are my go to specs on track (and works well on street), that's the perfect settings for me. Caster you can do some things to give it more caster, specially if you have the aluminum steering arms (flipping one piece around, there's some info on that on NASIOC).
@@PedroFTeixeira Thanks for the info man! I’ll put the car back on the scales and see if I can adjust the RR like you said.
You can always use a ballast battery like me 😜
@@shadiyounis8268 Do you remember your weight distribution stats?

some Tein are great; but most of their street lineup is mediocre or worse. Inexpensive and coilovers don't mix well and one needs to look higher in the coilovers options to actually get a good/decent coilover.
