- BYU Mountain Strings loves to travel the world, but they are always happy to be back home playing for their fans here in the USA. Country Roads is a well known song all around the world. This past summer, the BYU Mountain Strings band got to travel on a Summer tour to Belgium, France, Poland, and Amsterdam. While there they filmed this music video.
BYU Mountain Strings gets to travel the world with the International Folk Dance Ensemble at Brigham Young University.

It was a truly delightful rendition of the classic country/western song. If you are looking for western, it is perfect with very open vocal sounds from well trained singers. If you are looking for country, it would have required a bit more tightness in the vocals along with a hint of nasal. Every artist has to perform it according to their taste and abilities. You did a good job of interpreting it to fit your vocal strengths.
I might have left the church, but I still love these guys.

I love this cover, you made it sound like your own but kept the feel of the original version intact? I love the harmonizing here. Takes me back 45 years ago where I'm sitting at the kitchen table of my neighbor named Lola. She was like a grandmother to me. She helped me find my voice, taught me some old songs and we harmonized so well together. Thank you for the cover and the memory it brought back. I wish you all the best!
