+Bruchpiloten I was born in WV and most of my family still is there. I transplanted as a child to Ohio, so Ohio State became my main team. But my heart never left that state.
Great to hear that somebody out there feels the same! :) I simply love the landscape the stuff we don't have in Germany e.g. Sheetz :D My exchange group and I went also to Morgantown and the stadium was amazing even there was no game this moment. I hope I can visit this beautiful state and my host family again when I have finished school in 2 years.
Ich komme aus West Virginia und ich habe für zwei Wochen in Deutschland gereist! Deutschalnd war auch sehr schön. Ich werde zurück kommen. Grüße aus West Virginia! Tut mir leid für mein sehr schlect deutsch :)
I read your comment right a he sings the bridge of the song. I don't know why but it gave me goosebumps and tears on my eyes, sorry for your loss Brother.
We watched from California...and of course the half-time show was cut out...thank you SO much for sharing this! Made our day...well, that and the supreme a**kicking Maryland received :-)
The Shenandoah River runs through part of West Virginia's Eastern Panhamdle, and the Blue Ridge Mountains nearly touch Greenbrier County. Just consider what Virginia has left as a gift from West Virginia for, you know, winning the 1865 Civil War Championship.
+Jeffrey Campbell I live in Oklahoma now, but I spent some time in Shenandoah with my family, periodically visiting Harper's Ferry, inspired by the history and natural beauty of the Shenandoah/Harper's Ferry mountain range. You cannot beat the scenery driving to Shenandoah from Maryland, especially in the wintertime. Thanks for the upload! I was at that game and the stadiums roar to Country Roads is unparalleled to any other University's team pride. Just utter intensity and bondage throughout it all!
sung in the State of West Virginia even though John Denver wrote the song about the Western part of the Commonwealth of Virginia lol.. "Shenandoah River" "Blue Ridge Mountains" ??? can't find that in the State of West VA lol just thought I'd say that.. I reside here in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Harrisonburg VA..
Technically he was from Virginia, his region just happened to join the Union after the war began instead of the Confederacy.. Plus where the heck did he come into play in this?
Brad Paisley and a chorus of 50,000!
One more of the million reasons i love living in the ~wild and wonderful~ !!!

I was three weeks in WV one year ago and I miss it so bad! Thanks for sharing this clip, this song speaks from my heart!

Mr. Campbell, thank you for posting this. My pops was a West Virginia native, and loved his home. At his funeral, we sent him off with this song.
